Why does EVERYTHING happen in June???

Exams,

Art fight,

Game launches,

Console launches,

EXAMS.

And this in particular:

I'm gonna be absent for a few days in 1 day & 5 hours time. I've had the honour of playing Deltarune blind so far, and I want to continue that. Undertale was and still is a very special game in my heart, so it's important to me that I get to enjoy Deltarune blind.

And if there's one thing the Undertale/Deltarune fandom can't do, is no spoilers (no offence to you guys, but I've been here since 2017. I know what some of you are like). And I know. I KNOW. If I log onto Tumblr (or YouTube) 1 day & 6 hours from now, I'm gonna get spoiled for SOMETHING!

The catch here comes with the fact I'm neck deep in school work & my exams are all due from the 18th to 27th of this month, so won't have time to play till the weekend, so... yeah. I'm gonna be absent a few days, maybe a week >>

Locked In AU is still the same as the last update. I've been prioritising my school comic, so I haven't had a chance to get back to it. I've got 1 page left to do the illustrations for, and then I think I wanna go back and fix the others. I'm not happy with the quality from how I've been doing the pages in a rush.

Also, once this first chapter comes out, I will be switching to pages uploads, because I'm working on way too many projects (school work + personal) for me to be uploading every chapter. It's gonna be months without uploads if I do it that way. Especially for the longer chapters.

In relation to my last post and for your piece of mind...

As a New Zealander, I would like to give you all piece of mind that I will not be coming to your house, nor putting pictures up on your windows, OR posting ANYTHING related to Chapters 3 & 4 until 1 week/ 7 days after the game comes out :)

So, I may have been inspired recently, and decided this was a great reason to practice some new face rendering stuff my tutor taught me~ (I'm hoping they look a little less 'flat' than normal.)

I think it turned out quite cute. They are very cute to start with, so little hard to fail there, lol.

Nice long speed paint for this one. I wanted to practice a lot of stuff I feel I've gotten rusty on, and some old art techniques I haven't used in years, like black & white rendering & some photobashing.

Also, more human anatomy practice! (If anyone's wondering why I only half-traced the original work, that's why. I wanted it to, A) only serve as a rough guide for proportions & the pose, B) stylise the image to be in more of my style.)

Summary How do you fix something when you're surrounded by the broken glass of your and everyone else's mistakes? Perhaps a pep talk? Or maybe just… listen.

I took a lot more time on the cover art for this one. I feel like I've been doing a poorer job on my art recently, not producing the best result I can because I've been trying to rush it out. It's mostly my poppy playtime comic that's been the problem. I feel like if I don't get it out quick, people will lose interest and... *sighs* I wanna be proud of the art I put out, not rush out half-baked cakes just to get more eyes on it.

Anyway, very proud of this cover & chapter. Been practicing some of the new art techniques I'm using in class, with coloured line art and rendering. They're looking really nice :)

If only life was that simple... - - - - A story exploring the Toppat Clan in its early days of Reginald Copperbottom's leadership, following Terrence's dethroning. While set in the Lost Children universe, this story can be read with no prior knowledge of the series, being an origin story for many future events to come in the Lost Children timeline, and the alternative 'good' ending this story shall end with.

I might be a little impatient. I really wanted to get this up, so... ^^;

Welp.... I pulled all the chapters I have into a separate document and at just shy of 19,000 words, there's definitely enough content here for a good-sized side story, lol.

As you can see, most of this is done, so as soon as I have a cover art made, I'll start uploading. My schedule is a little tight but, I'll see if I can get chapter 1 & a cover done for Friday :)

The Toppat Clan Rising [Story Idea]

Dudes and duetts, I had the greatest idea >:)

I was trying to unwind last night from my school work (I've been pretty wound up and struggling to relax. My tutors won't shut up about our due dates in 5 weeks >> ) and I made this cool art piece, playing my favourite "What if game?".

I was doing the writing for it this morning, and it got me thinking how I've got Double Shots' story, like a bad Lost Children timeline, tagged as Universe X. So this would be, ironically, a good Lost Children timeline that we'll call... Universe Y (like, why couldn't they get the happy story as the main timeline, lol).

Anyway!

I've been worried that Part 2 is getting overstuffed and side tracked from Macbeth & Carol's part of the story, however, I need you, the readers, to know about the Oceania division in the past (for reasons that will become obvious later). So... What if I make a separate fic to tell the story in Lost Children AFTER Terrence fell from leadership?

Because until the 'split' or the 'what if instead' happens, the events that would lead to the picture above in the future... Lost Children has the same backstory.

I like this idea, but what do you guys think?

Slow & Steady win the race, kinda.

This bottom panel ended up over polished, lol. But they're cute and this totally captures the vibe I want between them.

Also, your reminder I am indeed working on this between my other project, Lost Children (which has evil scientists & experimented on children too, oddly enough), and school (where I'm working on a project with, you guessed it, evil scientists experimenting on children to extract their imagination to power their reality-rift-opening-inator 👍).

You can tell I was a FNaF kid, lol.

ANYWAY!

Progress is going steady. I don't have too much of a plan in mind, I'm mostly just having fun here.

I do have a question for you guys tho: The Chapter order.

This current Ch.1 I've been working on, is technically happening after Ch.12 - Fear of the truth. So, I'm wanna know if you guys are happy to then jump back to the beginning of 1354 to watch the dumpster fire get ignited, or if you want to sit back and join Stella in figuring out what on earth she's doing with the raging inferno Leith's basically dumped on her lap, lol.

Also, just writing this out now, I could just mush the two together nicely, so we jump back'n forth which would be fun to show just how badly Harley's mental state (and everyone else involved in the dumpster fire) has degraded in the 7 weeks since he first became 1354.
