For the WIP game: SoPMeme (ROTTMNT)

(Sorry I'm asking so late!)

(No worries! I don't think there's a time limit on this, I'll just keep taking requests until I run out of wips to talk about, LOL)

SoP Meme...well, it's beyond late at this point, so I may as well just be frank about it. Back when a certain meme was circulating around the Rise tags, I decided to get in on the action with a Shades of Purple version, for funsies.

However, I got a bit overambitious as I often do and then started getting busy with other stuff right around the time when I was getting close to finishing it... Soooo, it's been on the backburner for about a month or two. I still intend to finish it, though, since I put so much work into it, lol. Here's a snippet:

Asking some writers/artists I follow:

Is there anything in your fic/comic that you as the author know about, but won't end up in the actual story?

Hmmmm... I have a lot of little moments from the Grown Apart cast's individual upbringings that are kinda floating around in my head, but I have no idea yet if they'll make it into the comics. So, I'm not sure if those count. There are a few little canon details that I haven't figured out how to include in the comics just yet, though. Such as:

Donnie speaking in a posh English accent...but only some of the time - mostly when he's not with his family or if he's trying to impress someone. Reason being: Donnie doesn't naturally talk like Big Mama (though he may have adopted a tinge of her inflection with certain words or vowels), it's mostly something he puts on intentionally to sound more...closely related to her? It's become a habit, and he doesn't always realize when he's doing it anymore, unless the others point it out. But it disappears the moment he gets too worked-up/excited about something.

Because Mikey spent so much time looking for ways to occupy himself while Leo was off causing mischief with his friends, he has a wide range of obscure talents & skills, many of which I'll probably never end up showing in canon because they're not particularly relevant to the plot. For example: - Guitar playing - Card stacking - Cup stacking - Solving a rubix cube in under 3 minutes - Painting/writing with his toes - Ballet (beginner level, but he's working on it) - Making music with water glasses - Yo-yo tricks - Acrobatics - Silk flying - The ancient art of the Japanese tea ceremony - Crochet - Playing Chopsticks on his shell (with chopsticks)

That's all I've got off the top of my head right now. Unless you're referring to things like "ideas that were originally going to be part of the canon, but got scrapped somewhere along the way." There's a LOT of those, lol. Some of which I might still end up sharing at some point, because I illustrated a few of them early on when I was doing story beats, and I like the illustrations despite them not being accurate anymore.

Others, I don't necessarily want to expose just yet, because they might still end up getting used somewhere? Maybe in this story or maybe in a different one entirely, who knows. I like to keep "scrapped" ideas in my back pocket just in case I decide to come back to them later down the line.

can I ask about different shades of purple? I was wondering if you had any details on what colors the Donnie clones are.

Ah, so- As the title implies, all of the clones do have a different shade of purple. (However, since there's like...somewhere around 30 clones, I've had to cheat and dip a little into the pink/red and indigo pool for some, lol).

I can't give you specific shades for specific clones just yet, because I'm still working that out, but I can tell you a bit about my thought process when it comes to picking them*:

Strong or intense personality traits are represented by vibrant/highly saturated colors. Whereas more subdued personality traits are represented by softer, muted tones.

If a trait leans more towards the "passion" side of the spectrum, it's usually going to be represented by a hue with more red in it. If it's closer to "melancholy" or "apathy," it'll likely have a bluer hue.

And obviously, in both cases, neutral is somewhere in the middle.

(Fun fact: canon Donnie's, AKA "Donnie Prime's", color is a neutral purple, often called "True Purple.")

To help put this into perspective a little bit, here are some off-the-top-of-my-head examples: - Anxious Donnie's color is a deep, but saturated, almost-blue indigo. - Romantic Donnie's shade is vibrant and very close to red/magenta. - "Bad Emotions" Donnie is also close to blue, but it's a more desaturated hue than Anxious Donnie's - almost grey. - And Intellectual Donnie's is just a slightly less saturated neutral purple than Donnie Prime's. It's probably the closest to Donnie's canon shade out of all of the clones.

The darkness of the hue is relevant, too - it usually has to do with positive vs negative moods. But since not all of the clones are emotion-based, this one isn't always consistent and can change depending on other factors.

*Ninja Donnie is the exception to these rules - his mask is a bright red to represent the Hamato clan ninja, not because of any of the above qualifiers.

The Concept art for Disconnected AU(and Beats) unlocked my biggest fear and my heart hurts for Donnie. (IDK if ill be able to do the WIP Game but you tagging me has actually given me the motivation to do an outline for a ROTTMNT AU so thank you I appreciated the opportunity!)

ASDFGHGFDSDFGHJ I'm so sorry 😂 Should I put some kind of a warning on those?? I'm not even sure what I would tag it, but I'm open to doing so if it's necessary.

Yeah - Disconnected is a pretty...intense AU. Heavier than Grown Apart or most of my other AUs/concepts, that's for sure. It's an idea I came up with as a sort of means of exploring the various ways each of the characters would deal with grief and uncertainty after the events of the movie (with some key differences). So it's an angst-and-trauma-fest and I can definitely understand it not being everyone's cup of tea.

(So happy to hear that you're feeling motivated to do an outline, tho! That's great! :D Doing outlines is always very helpful for me, makes it easier to keep track of the story and figure out the best way to structure it. Here's wishing you the best of luck with yours, hope it's just as helpful for you! Also - no worries, the tagging was just a little nudge for if you wanted to do it. Zero pressure if you don't, lol.)

The Concept Art canvas for my Disconnected AU!

Tbh, I've shared a good bit of what's on this one already, lol Not a lot left to show, except for this semi-old sketch:

It's an early concept of the Firewall, based off of this gaming device I saw which allowed a person to play video games using only their brain (forgot what the device was called). Proooobably not what it'll end up looking like in the long-run, but that's why it's just "concept art" lol

That's exactly what it sounds like - it's the doc that has all my notes for the Shades of Purple concept (which, for anyone who's unfamiliar, is this right here.)

I'll be honest, this doc is...kind of a mess, lol. Lots of me just writing out various scene outlines, crossing them out, and then redoing them with a different direction. So getting a snippet is a little tough, because so much of it is just not relevant to the concept anymore. But here's a bit I think I'll probably end up keeping in the final:

*"BE" is referring to one of the Donnie clones - the one next to Leo in the last image on the original post.

I'm doing alright personally, aside from catching a very minor cold, lol. Mostly, it's just that there's a lot going on in my life right now, all at once. My family and I got a bit of a bombshell dropped on us some months back and I just haven't had the time, or the energy, to work on the things I want to work on lately. I'm praying that things get sorted out soon and I can get back to doing what I love, finally, without having to worry so much about timing.

But, que será, será. And who can add one second to their life by worrying?

Basic Summary - W's first day in and... she's already into mess...somehow... :D (This could either go well....or not (depending on the person's POV) @tmntaucompetition

Also this is my idea on what the staff area would look like.... I have no idea what a proper staff area would look like so.....yeah...

Missing Board (Again, only ones that I know are missing/ 'missing') @littlemissartemisia and @tangledinink 's Swanatello Grown Apart! Leo - @chiscribbs

[ID : Panel one - it shows W coming from another hallway into a new one, with a missing board behind her that shows Swantello and Misa with a chain around her neck but next to it (within big bold letters) says 'Not missing' and her scarf just flying through the air and her bag just following along Panel two - An announcement is heard 'ATTENTION ALL STAFF' however W was lost within her thought as she talked how 'Everything here is so confusing' in the background we see a Staff Board and still the same missing board along with a rubbish bin. Panel three - Small backflash on how they first got hired with both Alex and W in the Owners room with the Owner slamming their hand onto the table and saying 'Hired!', with a confused/ shocked W with her scarf standing tall to following along with her shock and an Alex who muttered 'Hehe, called it'. With W saying how 'Ever since we've been hired' (literally a day hired) Panel four - W continues 'Alex decided to leave me'. And Alex is leaving W and saying 'Heading out' and W really confused Panel five - W continues and 'I've mostly been looking around here to learn my way around here' and a clear image of the staff area is shown Panel six - W finishes off saying 'But I still don't get it'. W looks pissed off as she's still lost with the staff area. Within the background a turtle appears to be going through something. Panel seven - W walks off as a proper image of Grown Apart! Leo is shown just looking through the box Panel eight - W prays that 'If only there was som-'. W was still walking with GA! Leo still looking through the box Panel nine - W then stops at her trackers when her brain finally processes the fact that someone was there with her scarfs sort of going in Panel ten - It shows a small bit of the scarf coming along side a board of pictures Panel eleven - W peaked in, having half of her body in the image whilst the scarf is still travelling in Panel twelve - W is scanning Leo within her mind as a few thoughts are in her mind 'Box full of weapons', 'Staff?' 'Intruder?' 'Random Turtle' and the biggest one out of them all 'SUSPICOUS?' Panel thirteen - W calming herself from doing something impulsive as she says this to herself 'Okay, just calm down and breathe'. W takes a deep breathe Panel fourteen - W exhales letting some of panicking escape her mind

Panel fifth-teen - W talks to herself 'Remember, you have your spray with you, incase of anything happening'. A clear image of inside of the bag with a big spray bottle that has a big red circle crossing out the word 'SAS', along with some fidget toys and plushies Panel sixteen - W enters the hallway with one hand clinging onto her bag and another just guiding her into the hallway as she thinks to herself 'You got this!' Panel seventeen - A determined face is shown on W's face as the words 'You got this' covered the background Panel eighteen - One singular hand is reaching out to GA! Leo as she's still muttering to herself 'You got this' within the background once again Panel nineteen - W within her mind says 'You-' but it's cut of when GA! Leo looks at W who both freeze up when being caught. A close up image of the weapons that were taken from different versions of turtles and W's scarf is slowly getting closer to GA! Leo. Panel twenty - W has a face of drought as she rephrased the next words 'Don't got this' Panel twenty point five - W's scarf wraps itself onto the ankle of GA! Leo without either knowing about it Panel twenty one - 'QUICK! IMPROV!' was the only thoughts that was within her as she has an customer service act trying to not get her act up as she askes him 'Hello, is there anything that you need help with?' whilst still having no idea on who this turtle is]
