Chloe was enjoying the crisp fall air as she strolled through the park, watching her surroundings, loving how the world looked like it was painted in a kaleidoscope of reds and yellows and golden browns. Fall in Merrock was beautiful. Actually, Chloe was fairly certain all seasons were beautiful in Merrock. But there was something especially captivating about the fall colors. Armed with a warm beverage, Chloe made her way along the path in the park. Her head snapped over to look where the voice came from, while eyeing his device. "That's a good mission right there," she spoke, cracking a smile at the other. It was something Chloe did often, usually with the kids from her Earth Club program. "Always a beautiful day whenever we can keep Merrock looking spiffy."
Who: Brigg & Open (1/3)
Where: A Park
When: Take A Hike Day
If he had a choice in the matter, Briggs wasn’t the sort of person who really wanted to spend a great deal of time outdoors doing the whole running or walking thing. Through the years, he’d had to do plenty of forced exercise. It was national take a hike day though and while he opted out of a scenic hike, he did decide that he could take a walk in a park and pick up trash along the way. That was killing a few birds with one stone. With his earpods in his ear, he hummed along to himself as he used a grab tool to fill a trash bag. “Don’t mind me,” he said to a passerby maneuvering out of the way to not trip them up with his device. “Just doing my part to make Merrock beautiful.”

"Of course! How could I say no to you?" she laughed, eyeing the beautiful creation that the other was holding and taking the hanger. Chloe knew that Nari was a woman who took great pride in her work. Every item of clothing Nari's hands created, Chloe considered a work of art, masterpieces even. She felt very lucky whenever she got to model a Nari Gim original. "A red velvet dress would be perfect for the holidays!" Chloe's spoke, a smile moving onto her face as she pictured the dress at outings. "I think it already looks fantastic, but I'm glad that I can help you find out what else it needs." Chloe moved in the direction of the bathroom and quickly changed into the dress. Once she was done, Chloe called to Nari from behind the door, poking her head out and grinning at the other. "So, what do you think?" Chloe walked out and spun around, letting Nari take in her own work. "Anything to add to make it really pop?"
WHO: Nari & @chloenwckobia
WHERE: Nari's home, countryside
WHEN: November, 2024
"Alright, so... mind trying this one on for me?" Nari asked with a grin as she held up the red velvet dress towards Chloe. "I'm thinking of listing it on my shop page as a holiday special, since I figured people would be looking for party dresses, but it needs... something," and that something was hard to see on a mannequin, but might be easier to scope out if someone like Chloe was modeling it.

"The compost worms are always impressed with me, for your information," Chloe tried her best to sound belligerent, but couldn't do much to hide the amusement in her voice or the smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. She knew Kellan was only fucking with her, and it was really funny. "But I do take their opinion very seriously," she echoed, thumbing the material of the jacket. "I agree, though. This is pretty on trend for the fall season. And they are warm colors indeed. Very cozy." Chloe nodded her head, before looking back at the other. "Did you find any new flannels for your wardrobe? I'm surprised you haven't found a way to buy the whole section yet."
Kellan was often in the flannel section himself, not finding it worth it to buy new when there were older ones to use for warmth and to wear around the farm. He stopped for a moment when Chloe, who he'd been quietly been browsing next to spoke. "It looks good, would definitely make the compost worms really impressed with you," he said with a grin. "Very apt for the fall season, too, with the uh, warm colors? That's warm colors, right?"

"You think so?" Chloe raised a brow at the other woman's suggestion of pairing it with a brown suede skirt, her lips moving upwards at the idea. "That would be super duper cute, actually. Especially with a cute pair of thigh high boots," she hummed thoughtfully, reaching out and toying with the sleeve of the jacket. "This is a pretty great find, I agree," she nodded, a grin moving onto her face. Chloe eyed what the other was standing in front of. "That dress would be cute on you. It looks like it's about your size," she cooed, pointing to it for emphasis. "I like the color of it, too."
Nessa had popped into the thrift store on her work break, wanting a quick browse through the items. Her eyes had caught on a bright pink sequined dress, of course the most garish and loud thing on the racks, as a callback to her past life. She pulled her eyes up from the pink dress though and observed the girl holding the brown and orange flannel jacket. "It's really cute," she said with an affirmative nod. "Would go perfect with a brown suede skirt. I'm almost sad I didn't find it myself."

"Thank you! I think so, too." Chloe's face lips lifted into a smile, hand curling around the hanger, bringing the jacket up to her neck so she could see what it looked like up close. Wanting to be sure it would be a good fit, Chloe moved it off the hanger and around her shoulders. "Hm, the jacket might be a smidge bigger than what I thought it was going to be, but that's an easy fix. I like it, though."
Stumbling into the Treasure Chest after dining at Paco's, Gigi figured this was the perfect time to go shopping for warmer clothing for some of the charities she volunteered with. They were always in need of things during seasonal changes, and with some spare time on her hands today, she decided why not knock it off of her growing list of things to do now. She was perusing one of the racks when she heard someone nearby addressing her, and she turned to face her, studying the jacket in the woman's hands. "Standard Autumn colors? Those are perfect for this time of the year, and I think it would look good on you." She offered with a smile. "But you can try it on now, and we can see before you buy it."

"Flannel season is in session at the moment," Chloe grinned as she watched Aisha's nod of approval. Chloe scanned her reflection in the mirror nearby, picturing herself wearing the flannel jacket. "That's so true. This would be even cuter with a nice scarf and some booties, don't you think?" she responded brightly, smiling at her friend. "And this looks like a really good deal. It's guaranteed to last longer than others. Especially knowing the brand," Chloe explained. "The trick is memorizing the logos or the design on the back tag." Chloe held onto the jacket, knowing it was a keeper. "Did you find anything that you wanted to try?"
After cleaning out her wardrobe for the new season, Aisha figured a trip to the Treasure Chest was necessary. It's not that she didn't have enough seasonal clothes, she just figured some newer staple pieces would add some fun to her closet. Skimming through a rack of soft cardigans, she glanced up at the sound of a voice. Looking up at the jacket she was holding, she gave her nod of approval. "Definitely! I think it's super cute! And flannel is making its return, not that I believe it was ever out of style myself. Especially if you accessorize with it."

"That's a good idea," Chloe agreed, nodding her head as she moved to face the mirror that was nearby. Chloe's hands began to button up the flannel, cocking her head to the side as she observed the fit. She let her fingers brush against the texture of the jacket while she turned, trying to find a way to simultaneously be looking in the mirror and facing Jayla. "What do you think? It's cute, but maybe a little oversized. But that style is kind of on trend these days."
"Umm.." Jayla paused for a moment, assessing how the flannel jacket would look on Chloe. "Try it on. Let me see how it actually fits." Though the colors were pretty, Jayla wanted to assess the fit on her friend before signing off on a purchase.

Chloe let out a soft laugh when she heard the other's response. "A second opinion is always needed when it comes to fashion," she spoke, sending a smile his way. "You think so? I think it's perfect for this season," she looked down at the garment, observing the details. "Maybe they have another one like it in your size," she looked back over at him, sending him a soft shrug. "Have you found anything you like yet?"
Derek found himself wandering the isles of the Treasure Chest, hoping to find some great deals on Christmas decorations. It was never too early to start putting up lights and ornaments, right? But it was very easy to get lost browsing, especially when it came to the clothing section. “Sorry?” Derek quipped as he was brought his attention to the woman close by, also browsing. “I’m not sure I’m the right person to ask for fashion advice, but it is nice. I would wear it, if it were bigger, anyway.”

"You think so?" Chloe said with amusement in her tone. "I've been watching so many videos on TikTok about finding what color palette works for me, and one creator said that these two colors would work well for someone with my skin tone. So it's interesting that you say that," she laughed, looking back down at the garment. "Though, I'm a firm believer that you should wear something if you like it. No matter what your color analysis says." Chloe looked back up at Lena, before nodding her head. "Flannels are totally on trend right now. Especially with mini brown boots and a cute pair of jeans." It was the season of PSLs and all things autumn, after all. "I think you should, too! You'd look so cute in one. Maybe we could get matching outfits," she joked. "How about this one?" Chloe asked, pointing to flannel jacket that was similar to the one that she was holding in her hands. "I like how it has fleece on the inside of it, could be super warm."
With the changing of the seasons, so changed the fashion, and that meant that Lena needed some new clothes. Sure, she could do some online shopping, hit the nearby mall, but why bother when there were so many good things to be found at the Treasure Chest, giving them a second life? She glanced over to the side at the sound of a voice, before grinning as Chloe held up a flannel jacket. "I think that if you don't get that, it would be a crime. The colors really pop against your skin tone! And you know that flannel is always in style this time of year. I might have to find one for myself."

"Exactly! It's always fun when something like this falls on a weekday. Plus, I like that it's earlier in the week. It's a pretty good start to the week, if you ask me," Chloe continued, adding a nod. "But same, I'm don't think I'll get wasted," she laughed before shrugging. "I'm just glad to be able to try some new drinks." But if she did end up a little buzzed, she was glad she was within walking distance to her place. Chloe's features lit up upon hearing the other's response. "Of course! And that sounds good to me, I'm down."
“Right? And bonus that it’s a weekday, because I don’t have to pick up my kid until later — and it’s all walking, no driving necessary. Not saying I’m gonna get totally sloshed, but still.” Monique chimed a laugh, raising a hand to rest above her heart. “Aw, that’s really sweet of you. How can I say no to that? We can do one for one, try all — or some of, anyway — the drinks together.”

who: CHLOE & OPEN.
where: Treasure Chest.
when: sometime during November.
Chloe loved going to thrift shops. It was like going on a treasure hunt every time she walked into one. She was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet as she looked around, rummaging through the assorted dresses and tops hanging on the rail. The main thing she was looking for was more fall and winter pieces to fill her wardrobe. "Do you think this would look good on me?" asked Chloe as she turned to the nearest person, holding up a flannel jacket that had the colors orange and brown throughout it. "I don't usually wear these colors, but this is kind of cute."

"I hope so," Chloe remarked, turning her head at the other before returning the smile. "I'm never one to turn down a great deal." Which was why she was spending her day at the bar, wanting to cash in on the discounted drinks. "I'm totally down for that, though. First round's on me."
WHO: Moni & OPEN
WHEN: Happy Hour Day, 12 Nov 2024
“When they say happy hour day, does that mean they’re discounted for the entire day? Because how can I say no to that?” Monique smiled playfully at the person close by. “What do you say, want to make our way through the bar?”

I agree, there’s nothing quite like spending the autumnal season here in Merrock. I love seeing the leaves change colors and the weather is pretty nice during this time. Which reminds me that I need to go leaf peeping before the weather changes for winter.
Know we might only be a few days into the month, and I've only lived here a few months, but is it too soon to say that I can officially claim fall as my favorite season here in Merrock? I've spent just about every free moment that I do have outside on the trails, encountering all kinds of wildlife. I'm just going to turn into a regular Snow White over here. @merrock
