My prayer for you is that 2019 will be a year in which GOD will give you a ‘BOUNTIFUL HARVEST’. What a comfort it is to know that God has CROWNED this year with ‘HIS GOODNESS’. . . Let’s look at some of the acts of God’s ‘Goodness’, as shown in Psalm 65, which will lead us to a ‘bountiful harvest’. . . They are: . He HEARS our prayers (verse2) · He FORGIVES our sin (verse3) · He FILLS us with the good things of His house (verse 4) · He ANSWERS with awesome deeds (verse 5) · He PROTECTS us ( verse 7) · He DOES wonders ( verse 8) · He SENDS rain and MAKES the land fertile as the climax to a year of abundant blessing (verses 9-13). . . No doubt, you and I will have to face some, if not many ‘hard pathways’ in the year ahead. It’s part of life. But, the Psalmist says, “Even the hard pathways OVERFLOW with ABUNDANCE”. . . God’s abundance is spoken of here, even in the most difficult moments or seasons and in the hard, dry places. We should NOT worry therefore when difficult times come, for as someone said, ‘If God takes us on stony paths, He will fix us with strong shoes’! . . This Psalm speaks about abundance, after a dry season. Maybe the past year has been a ‘dry season’ for you. If so, can we believe together that you will see ‘GOD'S ABUNDANCE OVERFLOWING IN THE HARD PATHWAYS’ this Year? As we prepare our hearts to see Psalm 65:11 fulfilled this year, let’s follow these words of advice I wanna share you: . . ‘To achieve spiritual success, do NOT forget to GIVE GOD the FIRST HOUR of the day, the FIRST DAY of the week, the FIRST PART of every paycheck, the FIRST CONSIDERATION in every decision, and the FIRST PLACE in your heart.’ . . That’s a great way to start and to live through the year ahead! . . May you receive ‘GOD'S CROWN of GOODNESS and a BOUNTIFUL HARVEST this year’, and may you see ‘HIS ABUNDANCE OVERFLOWING EVEN IN THE HARD PATHWAYS’. Fascinated by the beauty of Joshua tree and the rocks that are higher than I. 😍 I was reminded of the verse from Psalm 61:2, it says, "When my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.  Has your heart ever been overwhelmed? Have you ever felt besieged by the storms of life? Inundated with problems of all sorts? Have you ever felt that you just couldn’t take it anymore? In times like this, what do you do? Do you succumb and surrender to these storms? Do you allow yourself to accept failure or defeat? Do you feel sorry for yourself and throw a pity party? No way! When you feel overwhelmed, when you begin to feel hopeless, when you lose heart, cry out to the Lord. He is your Rock, your Strong Tower, your Safe Refuge from the storms of life. Remind yourself that the God you serve is a mighty God. He will protect you. He will keep you safe. And He will deliver you. Always. Everyone goes through difficult tests and trials. We’ve all felt overwhelmed and hopeless at one time or another. But it is not okay to continue feeling that way – not when Almighty God is your Father! You must put yourself in remembrance of God’s great love for you. You must remind yourself of His faithfulness and of all the times He has come through for you.
