Sock design for @GoodLuckSock. Had to get real nerdy with this one here. Not like arguing Kirk vs Picard nerdy (Picard). But rocket science, chemistry, engineer, bow tie wearing, super thick glasses nerdy.

Process pics for koala sock pattern I made for @GoodLuckSock. By drawing things, sometimes you learn new things about them. Like, I never knew koalas functionally have 2 thumbs per hand. Seems pretty handy. That's a koality hand right there. Ok ok, aussie my way out.

Medieval Knights design I made for my day job @GoodLuckSock. My preference for drawing is to draw lots of detail, but that makes for terrible embroidery. I have to boil down the details to the most essential, throwing the rest away. I think it turned out good this time.

Short process pics for a 'Pumpkin Patch' sock design for @GoodLuckSock. Working with a stitched pattern provides some design challenges. You can only get your details so tight, and you are limited to using a small amount of colours.

Mushrooms are weird. They already look weird, and then you start looking at them closer in high detail so you can draw them, and you realize they're really really weird. Are they even from Earth? What the heck are they?!!

Sometimes at work I let my mind go to weird places for sock ideas. And sometimes, those designs get selected for production. I may have been bingeing Ancient Aliens at this time, or it's just a result of a catholic upbringing paired with being an X Files fan.

"Crazy Hockey" made for @GoodLuckSock. I'm thankful to have a job that lets me get silly. Designing socks has it's challenges; you can't use too much detail because cloth has lower resolution than paper. And you need to consider how your art will look when stretched over a foot - which now that I think of it, that's a challenge I share with tattoo artists.
