“Christianity turned 7 today!” (says Tumblr)
This is false. Christianity is over 2,000 years old.

@christianity Esau 'Mark' Kessler
loving kind-hearted easy going gentle-spirited uber-talented creative tenacious devastatingly handsome dear friend father fiancé
At 6:50 am, Sunday, December 14th, our dear friend Easu Lafcadio 'Mark' Kessler lost his battle with esophageal cancer and went home to be with his Savior.
Mark was diagnosed this spring when he began struggling with eating and keeping food down which resulted in excessive weight loss. With his fiance, Dana, and other dear friends and family by his side, Mark spent several months in a blur of treatments, biopsies, scans and operations. As a self-employed graphic designer, he had less than ideal health insurance and eventually reached the point where he was unable to work at all.
Thanks to the generosity of so many, this site has been instrumental in helping ease the financial burdens Mark faced this year. The needs now center around funeral costs and other related expenses. Please continue to share this site and thank you again for your compassion and willingness to give.
As always, prayers for Dana, Mark's children and family and all those who have loved him best are greatly appreciated.

Update on Saeed:
Saeed's mom was able to visit Saeed today behind the glass window and was able to pray with him and give him all of the updates on the prayer vigils! Saeed was so encouraged to know that so many had gathered to pray for him and the persecuted church.
Saeed said that knowing that he is not forgotten and the body of Christ is standing with him is giving him a lot of hope and strength to continue. Thank you all who joined and let Saeed know that he is not forgotten (Hebrews 13:3). I appreciate many of you going out of your way to coordinate and participate in the prayer vigils that were held in over 600 locations/cities and 39 countries.
God Bless you all. Naghmeh

There you are at church, and worship begins, but you are not feeling it. No awe of God. No love for him. Nothing. What should you do?

Hi Sweet friends, Update on Saeed: Saeed's mom was able to visit Saeed at the prison today. He was doing better physically. His mom is not doing so well. Her health is deteriorating. I would appreciate prayers for Saeed's mom as she is alone now in Iran being a support for Saeed. All family and relatives and friends have abandoned her in Iran since Saeed's arrest due to fear of any association with Saeed and his family.  Please continue to pray for Saeed's release . I am believing in the power of prayer and miracles to happen as we get together and pray.
THERE ARE STILL MANY CAPITOL CITIES THAT ARE NOT HOLDING PRAYER VIGILS AT THEIR STATE CAPITOL BUILDINGS FOR SEPTEMBER 26 (SAEED'S 2ND YEAR ANNIVERSARY IN PRISON).
Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in helping coordinate a prayer vigil in any of these cities or if you can get a church/group involved in coordinating prayer vigils in these cities. I will provide you the information you will need to get the prayer vigil started. This is URGENT as many cities require 2 months notice to give permits for the gatherings at the State Capitol buildings.  Alabama: Montgomery Alaska: Juneau Arkansas: Little Rock Connecticut: Hartford Delaware: Dover Florida: Tallahassee Hawaii: Honolulu Illinois: Springfield Iowa: Des Moines Louisiana: Baton Rouge Maryland: Annapolis Minnesota: St. Paul Mississippi: Jackson Montana: Helena Nebraska: Lincoln Nevada: Carson City New Hampshire: Concord New Jersey: Trenton New Mexico: Santa Fe North Carolina: Raleigh North Dakota: Bismarck Ohio: Columbus Oklahoma: Oklahoma City Oregon: Salem Pennsylvania: Harrisburg Rhode Island: Providence South Carolina: Columbia South Dakota: Pierre Utah: Salt Lake City Vermont: Montpelier Virginia: Richmond Washington: Olympia West Virginia: Charleston Wisconsin: Madison Wyoming: Cheyenne  God Bless you all!  Naghmeh

That you could go from running to lifeless on the ground that quickly laid bare the randomness of death and its converse: the fragile randomness of life. If there was a God guiding our collective fates, I couldn’t see or feel Him anymore. He wasn’t with us there. It was just Benjy and me, smoking cigarettes, talking, and his machine gun.

Quote
When men preach boldly — as when they declare that sin is bad and Jesus is good — it is easy to represent them as having a go-to-hell dismissiveness about them. But it is actually the opposite. Those ministers who crawl on hands and knees in order to obtain the respect of the world — an odd way of proceeding, I should think — are those whose mealy-pulpitoons amount to a wish that the world would continue on its way to Hell, not warned, not rebuked, not hindered in any way. And those who try to stand across the way are accused of having engineered the way in the first place, and of harboring a not-so-secret wish that all non-Christians would tumble headlong into the Abyss.

Quote
There is a kind of weakness, a kind of vulnerability, that may come when we are convinced of our strength. It is when we are not being tempted, it is when we are standing strong in the Lord’s grace, that we ought to consider the times we will be weak and tempted and eager to sin. We need to assume such times will come and we need to use the moments of strength to put measures in place that will protect us when we are weak. The wise nation builds its defenses in peace time, not once the enemy has invaded its borders; the wise homeowner buys insurance before the big catastrophe, not once the flood has already risen. The wise Christian fights sin even when sin seems distant and dormant.

C. S. Lewis once offered advice to a soon-to-be-married man on why he ought to avoid masturbation. But his rationale speaks to celibate Christians as well.

The highly anticipated debate between Bill Nye and Ken Ham isn’t scheduled to begin until 7 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
Refusing to debate someone because by claiming their argument is invalid is a form of stonewalling. A convenient way for the bureaucracy to control thought. It is not like Creationism is some mystic aberration held by hoveling peasants in a cave.
Creationist do not need or “crave: the oxygen of respectability in the world of real science.”
That is yet another bigoted saying that demeans people and their faith.
The entire Renaissance was about faith and the freedom to explore science.
Isaac Newton, Leonard Euler, Michael Faraday, Charles Babbage, Louis Pasteur, Joseph Lister, Ambrose Fleming, James Clark Maxwell, Werner Von Braun, Blaise Pascal all established Creationists who contributed world changing science.
So stop already with the underhanded insults.
