Hey everyone ✨
I hope that you are all doing well! The past few weeks has been a little tough in terms of my personal life, so I wasn’t able to publish a new post. I won’t go into too much detail, but I’m so sorry about my inactivity and lack of posts!
Today is a good day though, because my order for the brand new Jeffree Star Cosmetic Blue Blood palette has arrived and I’m so excited to play around with it 💙 I’ll be filming a video about this palette on YouTube soon, so I will make a post about it when I upload!
This post will only be my first impressions of the palette, appearance wise, so I won’t delve into too much detail until my video is completed and uploaded. There’s only so much photos can do, so I can’t wait to create some looks with this palette on video as well. With that said, let’s get on with it!
So I ordered this palette on Friday 29th March at 5pm GMT when it launched, and trust me, it was a struggle to get as the website slowed down quite a bit. As I live in the UK, I shop for Jeffree Star Cosmetics on Beauty Bay as 1. they are the official UK stockists for his products, and 2. I don't get hit by customs fees (anyone who imports stuff knows what I mean).
I love the JSC liquid lipsticks; the formula is probably one of the best out there and they don’t feel drying or come off easy, and are comfortable to wear all day. But this is the first time that I’ve ever ordered a palette from JSC. Blood Sugar is a palette that I would love to get since red is my favourite colour, but I never got the chance to get it as I either never had enough money or it was sold out. Hopefully I will be able to get it soon, as the colours in it are gorgeous! 😍
Blue Blood really caught my eye as I’ve never seen a palette quite like it in terms of colour scheme, and also the beauty industry in general. I find that it’s overly saturated with nudes, copper and warm tones. The story behind Blue Blood really spoke out to me, and I just had to have it. I don’t normally use blues when it comes to make-up, but this palette makes me want to experiment more with colour and be more artistic.
Beauty Bay are so quick when it comes to shipping, especially with this new launch and I was happily surprised with the service. When Blue Blood arrived at my doorstep this morning, I rushed to open it and I literally gasped at how amazing the packaging looked. I also touched the packaging and oh my word, it felt so smooth and high quality.

Now I’ve seen the promo images from Jeffree’s Instagram and watched the reveal video on YouTube, but I honestly didn’t expect the actual shadows to look so stunning. My eyes were immediately drawn to the namesake shadow, Blue Blood, Deceased, Blue Monday, Entitled and Ocean Ice. They look so unique.

Overall, I am overwhelmed with how gorgeous this palette is! I’m hoping that they have pigment, apply and blend out well together so we shall see in my upcoming video 💎💙

Hey everyone ✨
Today is International Women’s Day and to show support, I thought that I’d share some of my favourite beauty brands that I use, owned and run by women.
In the beauty industry, women are the biggest consumers and yet, they’re not always the ones calling the shots. Some of the bigger companies such as L’Oreal and Estee Lauder have men as CEO’s. So this post is going to honour the amazing ladies who started, own and run their own beauty empires and I hope you’ll love them as much as I do.
All brands listed here are of course cruelty-free and/or vegan 💕 unfortunately, I haven’t had the time to snap any pictures for this post as I have some errands to run 😔 apologies for this my loves!
1. Anastasia Beverly Hills.
CEO Anastasia Soare revolutionised eyebrows and there’s no denying she's had a huge impact on the beauty industry. Initially starting as a salon in Beverly Hills, she upgraded the eyebrows of the wealthy and famous and launched her own brow products 19 years ago in 2000.
Now the brand boasts some of the most sought after products in the industry such as cult favourites, Dipbrow Pomade and the Modern Renaissance palette, ABH has truly shown consistency in the quality of their products.
2. Fenty Beauty
Rihanna came in and shook up the beauty industry in 2017, launching a large range of inclusive products that are widely celebrated for being the most inclusive on the market. Seeing a gap in the market for inclusive shades, Rihanna rolled 40 shades of foundation right out of the gate, propelling the discussion of diversity within beauty. Whenever I talk to someone about make-up, Fenty Beauty always pops up in conversation.
With their stunning highlighters, concealers, lip products and more, I truly think it’s amazing how much influence Rihanna has had in the beauty industry within a such short amount of time. Fenty Beauty is a personal favourite of mine and I have many of their products in my collection.
3. Beauty Bakerie
Cashmere Nicole deserves all the love and respect she receives. After battling breast cancer, she founded the brand in 2011 with the most amazing motto: “Be better, not bitter” which she said defines her own life.
All her products are themed with baking, which honestly is super adorable, and are inclusive. The Cake Mix Foundation boasts 30 shades, and then some.
4. Spectrum
Spectrum is my go-to for make-up brushes, and for good reason. Founded by two sisters, Hannah and Sophie Pycroft, in their garage in Wales, Spectrum produces beautiful synthetic make-up brushes. As well as their own designs, they’ve created Disney and Mean Girls themed brushes and accessories, and the company is now estimated to be worth £12 million!
(Plus the brushes are super affordable, what’s not to love?)
5. Glossier
Founded in 2010, Emily Weiss worked as an assistant at Vogue and started her blog Into The Gloss which turned out to be very successful, turning into Glossier and new brand Glossier Play.
Glossier is known for its millennial pink packaging, make-up and skincare products aimed to enhance your natural beauty rather than cover it.
6. Charlotte Tilbury
Charlotte Tilbury MBE is one of the most popular and influential make-up artists in the world having trained at the Glauca Rossi School of Make-up in London and jumping into the industry during the ‘90s aka the Supermodel era. She’s made a name for herself, working with some of the biggest names in the beauty and fashion industry like Mario Testino, and celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and more.
Launching her eponymous brand in 2013, Charlotte Tilbury has captivated consumers with her skincare and make-up products, helping them to achieve classic Hollywood glamour. Her products have also won many awards if that helps you make a decision whether to buy!
Feel free to check out all these brands, and let me know if you enjoy them! Also, celebrate the amazing women in your lives ❤️
I’ll see you all in my next post 😘

Hey everyone, welcome to my brand new blog!
I’m just here to do a quick introduction and to let you all know what this blog is for.
My name is Christy, a 22 year old lady living in the UK who loves beauty, fashion and make-up way too much.
I’m a self-taught MUA, I’ve practiced and learnt about beauty and make-up in my own time and it has become one of my greatest passions. I mostly do wearable and every day make-up, but I can also do glamorous and artistic looks. Make-up for me has always been a form of self-expression and to express my creative flair.
This blog is to share my love for beauty and to give tips/advice, recommendations, and more! I only use cruelty-free and/or vegan skincare and make-up products. This is a conscious choice that I made because make-up is for humans, not animals 😘
I also have a YouTube channel! I haven’t uploaded videos for a while, but I am planning on producing more content for it 💕 here’s a link to my channel if you want to check it out and subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbmnc-eCCTO-hQ7jDjhWEhg
I’ll be posting blog posts every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday so make sure you follow me so you can see them~
I hope you’ll enjoy reading my posts and stay with me on this beauty filled journey! Please follow my blog and all my social media accounts to show your support, I’d really appreciate it!
