       Her breath hitched as she froze in front of the store window which had a TV in the shopping window. She hadn’t seen his face for so long or heard his voice, she had been trying to ignore it in any way possible. Hearing it was like being hit in the face, she stared at the screen as the interviewer interviewed her father, he apparently was branching is company or something big happening in the company Dahee wasn’t paying attention to what he was actually saying, she just heard his voice. He was asked about his children on why they weren’t around on this special day and her father simply said that they were in America studying but they had video messaged him to congratulate him. That caused the girl to lower her head, America…right of course he would say that. She cursed under her breath not really noticing the person standing next to her.

   His arms were weighed down by the overstocked grocery bags he’d carried out of the store. A weekend to himself ( or at least a Friday ), and he planned to spend it surrounded by piles of junk food while watching Netflix specials. He was almost sad he had to spend it alone when he noticed her familiar frame, but it wasn’t until he got closer that he recognized the less than bright demeanor written on her stature. Intent to greet with smiles, and invitations fade into a look of concern accompanied by a gentle nudge to her arm. “Since when do you curse as if you’ve done some time in the army?” Though his lips were sharp with jokes, his eyes were soft as he awaited for her to come to him with what was wrong.

   embarrassment creeped into his cheeks, but the feeling didn’t stay for long. even if the soft color of red did. there were worst things to be humiliated about; showing of his ( less than ) impeccable dance moves wasn’t one of them. ❝ you can laugh at me too, than! you can also laugh at yourself, i do it all the time. once you find yourself more hilarious than anyone else does no one can take you off that high horse. ❞ he teased as he beckoned her to come further into the room. thinking maybe if he started the music one more time, it would be a nice incentive for her to feel comfortable around him.

                  naomi had this odd habit of walking to the nearby convenience store to eat some ramyun. the thing is, she comes by here frequently at 2-3 am in the early morning. she doesn’t know how she came to have this habit or when did it even start to begin with — an everlasting jetlag maybe ? nonetheless, it became somewhat of a RITUAL for her — especially when things in life became too much — and like they say, the rest was history. she sat down by the stair entrance of the store, elbows on her knees and head resting between her hands. ❝ i wonder what i’ll be in my second life. i hope i can be reborn as a cat. i just want to laze my days away, sleeping and eating and not having a single worry in life. ❞ maybe it was her drowsiness talking or even the urge to get another ramyun for herself, that led her asking herself some philosophical questions. ❝ or a dog, that’s be good too. maybe even a rabbit ? just hopping around waiting to be fed some carrots or celery. ❞

how intelligent is your muse? do they acknowledge it? Valedictorian of his highschool, graduated top 5% of his class in both university and medical school. And now studying to become a neurosurgeon so he’s extremely smart. But he doesn’t bring it up unless he feels like he’s being spoken down to.
