lando norris won his home race so here’s a little photo to celebrate (yes i know i’m late sorry but work is kicking my ass)

so so proud of him because at the end of the day he was one of the drivers who made less mistakes and in those conditions that what matter the most!

a little insight on this photo

this was taken during media day in imola. lando came into the tv pen just after lewis hamilton, and i was standing right there — took about 3000 photos of him. i crouched down to get this shot from a slightly different angle, and it’s honestly one of my favourites.

lando arrived in imola after a few races where he’d finished behind oscar piastri, and the media had been (kind of) tearing into him.

it was my first time being accredited at a formula 1 event, and i realised something in that moment: yes, media outlets absolutely will write clickbait headlines and talk badly about a driver. but then you see those same people standing in front of that driver in the tv pen — and there’s no hate. no slander. just smiles and polite questions.

i’m italian, and if you go by what the italian media say, lando is someone who struggles mentally and can come across as rude if he doesn’t feel like answering. what people don’t see is that, yes, he might look serious or annoyed sometimes, but they cut out the parts where he’s actually kind and respectful.

and honestly, if you asked me a stupid question right after a bad race — like “do you feel you could’ve done anything better?” — i’d sound annoyed too.

funny how different the media world is when you’re standing just a few feet away from the cameras

hi everyone!

i am a motorsport photographer and trying to make a living out of it. at the moment i got accredited at a few feeder series race and the formula 1 race in imola this year. really appreciate seeing people liking my work.
