Yuuri Katsuki once believed gold was a finish line...
Yuuri thought moving to Russia would feel like the next chapter. Like skating into a warm-down routine after the final spin. Instead, it felt like standing on the edge of a frozen lake and realizing...he didn’t know how thick the ice was. St. Petersburg was beautiful. Beautiful and brutal. The cold clawed through the seams of his coat. Strangers stared. He missed conbini coffee. Missed vending machines. Missed understanding signs without squinting.
Viktor said he could teach him Russian. “Start with the important words,” Yuuri said. So Viktor taught him любовь, then здесь, then остаться. Love. Here. Stay. Yuuri didn’t say them out loud. He just nodded. Mila showed him how to haggle for apples at the market. Yakov yelled at him less than expected. The rink smelled like metal and ice—different than Detroit’s sterility, different than Hasetsu’s warmth. But it was a rink. He could work with that.
Viktor’s apartment had high ceilings and cold floors. Too many mirrors. Not enough ramen bowls. Yuuri unpacked slowly, like he wasn’t sure if he was staying or just if this was real life now. He forgot how to move with Viktor. He knew how to be his student. His competitor. His fantasy. Now he was brushing his teeth beside him, buying milk, folding socks. It felt more intimate than kissing. And when Viktor returned to the ice... Yuuri didn’t know how to watch him. As a coach? Or as a lover? Or maybe as the boy who once idolized him? He just watched. And felt like he was bleeding in reverse.
They trained at different times. Yuuri liked the silence. Viktor liked the music. Yuuri didn’t say he felt small next to Viktor’s effortless charisma or how much he missed being the only one Viktor skated for. They fought. Over nothing, at first: A forgotten lunch. A bad practice. A towel left on the floor. Then over something stupid Yuuri said, “Maybe you don’t need me here.” Viktor flinched. Didn’t answer.
Phichit called. Yuuri cried into his phone and Phichit said, “This isn't a 'lovers to enemies' trope. You just moved in together, it's a big change.” Then, they talked about Detroit and that time when attempted to make a pizza, almost blasting their apartment when they forgot about the oven. Now, they laughed about it.
The next week with Yakov's blessing, Yuuri started skating before sunrise. Alone. He built a routine from scratch. Raw. Stripped of flourish. Just breath and blades and fear. He didn’t show Viktor. Not yet. This was his. They apologized. In gestures. In silence. In holding hands under the table at dinner. “I want you here,” Viktor finally said. Yuuri answered, “And I want to stay.”
Yuuri learned how to curse in Russian from Yurio. He used it once when the toaster exploded. Viktor nearly fell off the couch laughing.
They started using Japanese at home. Viktor mispronounced everything with dramatic flair. But when he said okaeri, something knotted in Yuuri’s chest came loose. Yuuri finally showed Viktor the routine. No music. Just movement. Viktor watched, silent, glassy-eyed. When Yuuri finished, Viktor whispered, “That’s the most honest thing I’ve ever seen.” It didn’t get easier overnight. Some days Yuuri still felt like a guest. Some nights Viktor curled around him like he was afraid Yuuri might disappear. But there was laughter again. And practice. And tomorrows. Hasetsu was his family. Detroit was memory. St. Petersburg was still strange. But it was where his skates lived now. And his toothbrush. And Viktor. And if Viktor was here, then it was home.
Yuuri Katsuki once believed gold was a finish line.
Now he understood... there was no final pose. No standing ovation. This wasn’t the end. Because their love had no end. One night, curled up on the couch, Yuuri asked, “What now?” Viktor smiled. “Now?” He reached to take Yuuri's hand into his. “Next level.”

Viktor Nikiforov was terrible at being alone.
That’s why he’d followed Yuuri halfway across the world once.
But now, with Yuuri in Japan again: “just for a while,” he said.
Viktor didn’t chase.
He waited.
And waited.

Enemies to lovers true to form, if someone is looking to read anything similar.
They Say Never Meet Your Heroes
They say never meet your heroes—because they might ruin the carefully curated pedestal you’ve put them on. Maybe they’ll shatter your illusions with a single offhand comment. Or, maybe—just maybe—they’ll offer you something so bafflingly tone-deaf that you’ll find yourself questioning every life choice that brought you to this moment. And maybe they’ll turn out to be alarmingly human, with quirks and flaws that make them real in ways you weren’t ready for. But then again, heroes have a funny way of surprising you, even when you think you’ve got them figured out. Whether that’s a good thing… well, that’s another story entirely.

In The Heart Of Winter
Summary: Once upon a time, there was Winter itself—flawless, endless, and untouched by sorrow. A figure carved from ice and perfection, admired but distant, powerful but hollow. It knew no warmth, no ache, no reason to change... until one night, a boy lost in the snow stumbled into its heart— and cracked it open with nothing but kindness, and the glow of a gentle smile. Years later, that boy, now a young man named Yuuri Katsuki, stands alone on a frozen beach in Sochi, crushed under the weight of grief and failure. After messing up his chances at the Grand Prix Final and losing his beloved dog, Vicchan, Yuuri runs to the sea, too ashamed to go home, convinced he’s wasted everything he once dreamed of becoming. A fairytale for those who believe winter is not only an ending, but the beginning of a love that defies even time—and who know that even the coldest hearts can be set on fire.
READ HERE
"In the Heart of Winter" is a story born from my love of old winter myths — particularly the figure of Jack Frost, and the darker, bittersweet fairytales of Russia.
In traditional Russian folklore, winter spirits were often both beautiful and cruel, protectors and punishers, symbols of the inescapable cycle of death and renewal. Tales like Morozko (Father Frost) show winter as something vast and personified, but not inherently evil — more a force of nature bound by its own strange rules, capable of great kindness or great indifference.
Another tale that shaped this story is Snegurochka, or The Snow Maiden — a girl made of snow who longs to feel human warmth and love. In many versions, she melts the moment she feels true affection or steps too close to the fire. Her story isn’t about punishment or fear — it’s about transformation, the cost of wanting something you were never meant to have, and how even the coldest forms can carry longing inside them. I wanted to thread that same ache through Viktor — the coldness not as cruelty, but as distance, perfection, and the absence of anything that could move him… until someone does. I wanted to blend that ancient sense of mystery with the emotional world of Yuri!!! on Ice — to imagine what might happen if a lonely boy once touched the heart of such a being, and if that god, bound by cold eternity, could not forget.
This story exists alongside the canon timeline at one point, behind Yuuri’s collapse at the Sochi Grand Prix and the grief of losing Vicchan. And also, I adapted Viktor and how we see him in the anime as an untouchable god of the ice, perfect but almost too distant and cold in his own beauty and powerful talent. But how hollow and jaded by his own perfection he was... but most of all, how he lost his motivation and purpose but found it again after someone set his heart on fire.
"In the Heart of Winter" is a tale of longing, soft fluff and smut, and the terrible but beautiful price of choosing selfless and true love. I hope you enjoy walking with Yuuri and Viktor through this world of snow... and the small, stubborn warmth that can change even the oldest winters.
This is fully written and I will upload everything over the coming weeks.

Still a WIP, but at one point in the process I like to put an overlay in a color and see how the lights/shadows are looking. And looked super cool ✨🍷
Been working on this for almost a week and a half and I just need to finish rendering and…of course, draw a ton of white roses 🌹

A Yuri!!! On Ice + SwanPrince!AU CHAPTER 3 / Part I
The Boy Who Bowed Too Deep🦢
Summary: In the first summer a boy crossed Tsar’s Way with a book of stories, a heart full of rehearsed courtesies, and a name barely whispered in foreign halls. He bowed too deep. He spoke too carefully. He reached out a hand that was never meant to be held. At the top of the stairs, a prince looked away. This is the first summer. The summer the Moon arrived, and Winter did not yield.

We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off
A Yuri!!! On Ice One-Shot
Viktor Nikiforov knew the anatomy of a one-night stand: the heat, the rush, the silence after. He didn’t plan to fall into anything different when he led Katsuki Yuuri, Japan's Ace, to his hotel room—tipsy, flushed, and too beautiful for his own good. But Yuuri, with his twenty flutes of champagne and the kind of joy that cracked open Viktor’s carefully managed detachment, was never going to follow the script. And Viktor realizes, too late (or just in time), that intimacy can take many forms...and not all of them require taking your clothes off.

The Sound Of Your Voice Sets My Heart On Fire
A Yuri!!! On Ice fanfiction
In a sport where half the drama is on the ice and the other half is on social media, Beyond the Ice Podcast reigns supreme as everyone’s guilty pleasure. Hosted by the faceless Haku—whose snarky critiques of set design and costuming often spiral into comedic gold—this podcast has single-handedly rebooted the skating world’s passion. He’s called out tacky Kiss and Cry aesthetics, analyzed step sequences with nerd-level technical expertise, even aired the ISU’s dirty laundry, unfair scoring and insider information for all to see. Viktor Nikiforov’s name often surfaces with startling frequency. No one’s sure whether Haku’s commentary is love, hero worship, or borderline obsession. It’s in the way his voice changes—almost trembling with excitement or frustration whenever Viktor’s name is mentioned. The most asked questions remain: Who is Haku, why does he know so much about the sport and those specific, small details that only an insider could catch? Could he be an ISU official, a coach, or even a retired competitive skater? Viktor Nikiforov himself starts tuning in—At first, Viktor’s interest seems typical—of course a skater wants to know what the internet’s favorite (and fiercest) critic thinks of him. But something about Haku’s unflinching honesty struck a chord. In a sport filled with glory, cheers, gossip and sometimes tragedies, who’d have thought the sound of a stranger’s faith could set a champion’s heart on fire?

“Three years ago I would have been…so happy. Training in the same ice as my idol-slash-hero figure…but now that I don’t see him that way, I—I…don’t know what o-or how to feel.” Yuuri let out a shaky breath as he finished the sentence, his voice barely rising above the hum of the connection. Even saying the words out loud made his chest tighten in that all-too-familiar squeeze—part embarrassment, part dread. A flicker of memory sparked: the wide arc of Viktor’s eyes when he’d turned around, the sense that he’d just ripped a gleaming medal off a pedestal and tossed it aside like scrap metal. But in some ways, it felt like he couldn’t remember it clearly. There was a beat of silence before Phichit’s tone turned wry. “You know, after hearing all that, if meeting your hero was bad, maybe next time you should meet your villain and see how that goes instead.” Phichit’s words hung in the air, and Yuuri felt a mild pulse of relief that his friend was able to joke about it. But that tiny sense of relief collided with the knot in Yuuri’s stomach, leaving him momentarily at a loss. Maybe meeting a villain would be simpler, sure—but in Yuuri’s world, villains weren’t glamorous or straightforward. Yuuri snorted. “Oh, I have…even lived with that villain—I call it anxiety .” He forced a smile, but the weight in his chest shifted, something like acceptance. It really was a villain, wasn’t it? Anxiety had haunted him for years, lurking in the shadows of his mind, taunting him whenever he stepped onto the ice. An invisible antagonist he couldn’t exactly defeat—only learn to manage. For a moment, he pictured that intangible force given a face: monstrous, intangible, wearing the scowl of every judge or the disappointment of every person he’d ever let down. It was no cartoonish supervillain; it was something far more personal, the reflection he sometimes saw in the mirror when he felt worthless.

Started posting my fics recently, didn't understood why this user they're referring to, blocked my account?
Now that I've read all this it all makes sense.
Aaaaand we're back. Sadly. Of course we are. More @thegirlwhorideslikeasamurai bs! Notice how that @ leads nowhere? Well, that's the topic I'm here to add to the situation about.
For those who haven't been following this situation, here's a link to the TL;DR post of it which includes links to everything else.
Anyway, let me actually get straight to the point for once: Samurai changed their URL. And blog name. And description. And removed their original pinned post. And did all of this on seemingly all their socials. Her new URL (and username on other platforms) is @thegayfigureskatingagenda, so if you see that URL, now you know who's behind it.
(Sidenote because I'm petty: I just gotta say her new description including "Too old for fandom drama." is rich coming from her but I digress).
To catch some concerns from the off: Isn't it mean and witch hunting to chase her around the Internet? Shouldn't we just let it go? And to that I ask: Would you let a criminal who hurt your friends go just because they left the country and changed their name? Of course you wouldn't, and I won't either. People should know that Samurai is running from accountability. She hasn't apologised. She hasn't done anything I've seen to make things better with the people she's hurt. To her credit, she hasn't posted anything obviously stupid for a while, but she's barely been posting at all, just reblogging stuff, so I'm not gonna give her points for that.
But what if this is her attempt to redeem herself? Well, she might have better success if she apologised. It doesn't have to be a big public sobfest, she could just privately reach out. But Arom, what if she has, and you just don't know? Well, she certainly hasn't apologised to any of the multiple victims I'm in contact with who have also publicly and thoroughly exposed her on multiple platforms. If I was Samurai, I'd probably start there. Even if my motivation was entirely selfish, getting them to stop calling me out would be my primary goal which means I'd still start there. So. You know. If she's apologised, she's sure prioritised her time poorly.
So, if this is her genuine attempt at redemption, she better start doing some apologising. That's all I want. For her to apologise and do better in the future. Not either or. She must do both. Regardless of how perfect she might become in the future, I still won't stop putting pressure on her to own up to her mistakes and apologise to those she's hurt. Because they deserve it. I don't care that it's hard. I don't care if she "needs time". The victims have been waiting for way too long already. Do better.
And I'm sorry if I seem extremely quick to judge her, but to be honest, she's given me very little incentive to offer her the benefit of the doubt and trust her ability to change for the better. If you think that's mean, go read the post linked at the top. Go read all the posts. And remember as you read that she has not made a single direct response to this. If we were getting it all wrong, all she had to do was explain herself, but she has failed to do that repeatedly and has instead decided to run from her problems by changing her name. And I, for one, don't aim to let her get away with it. She must at the very least apologise before I'll even consider letting her move on and this be a thing of the past. The victims aren't gonna magically forget Samurai's mistreatment of them just because she wants to move on. Plenty are still hurting. Don't let her get away with thinking that running away is a viable option.
And Samurai, if you're reading this, it's as I said before: It's entirely up to you what I do next. Own up, and do better, and I won't ever breathe your name again. You'll be free. But keep running, and I'll keep chasing. It's up to you.
