im probably going to do it but

writing an emperor/reader fic. for the bit. i can't decide whether or not i want them to fuck or not. i dont know if they should. holding my head and shaking it. like i think it could be fun to write it. but he doesn't fuck. y'know? but he could if he wanted to. but does he WANT to?!?! i don't even know

i love writing for the emperor. i loooooove writing for the emperor. but writing anything thats not already an established relationship is so... ughhhhhh. but i dont have the patience to write a slowburn. but. ugh. i dont know

it's been 7-10 business days!!! my ff mtg cards got here!!!

now im going to do a horrible crime: take really blurry pictures of irl media even though high quality digital versions exist :P

just my highlights of what i got by each game

i dont play mtg so someone's got to tell me which ones are "good" or not....

ff1 town greeter... hnng. does anyone ever talk to npcs in earlier ff games? i feel like any time i hear about npcs in ff it's ffx with the I WANNA BE A BLITZBALL kid and... not much else. but perhaps im just on the wrong side of the internet. anyway i love little baby white mage in the background. hes so cute

onto the ff2 ones which i got a handful of. i wanted the firion cards as well but the shop i bought them from didnt have them so perhaps another time. anyway:

i like the detail of the mouth in swallowed by leviathan. i wish there was a quote for this one but im not peeved. commune with beavers, does, in fact, have Guy Speak Beaver. say the line guy!!1!1

but hooo. my goodness. mr. emperor. this is a weird thing to say but we get a lot of upskirt shots of the emperor or... well he's just on higher ground, ok? and i like that detail

it's also a detail from NT (it could be from OG/012 dissidia but i dont remember it) where his hell emperor form has the snakes on his knees/crotch having horns. i think that's cute. and also something something he's compensating. also his... race? species? changes which is also cute. good for you sir

on to ff3! i only got the cloud of darkness from this game but the general cloudiness looks a lot better compared to other iterations of her. she looks good. but you can look her up

i got a few ff5 cards but i want to talk about exdeath. he looks really good. woof. thats all i gotta say

i also got a few ff6 cards but i got light of judgment and i want to say. hrrrgh. tummy

and the whole "stolen uniform" segment is probably my favorite in ffvi. maybe even one of my favs in the whole series. i never talk about ffvi outside of kefka because i think it's just okay. but i do like the plot of the game....

anyway

ff8! i got miss ultimecia's card herself but i want to touch on sorceress's schemes because her legs are so hot. her hands.... feetsies... ughhhh i can only get so hard

and i like how in dreams of laguna julia's framing the side. all 3 of them look so so good ughhhh

i got some ff9 cards and one ff10 card. but i dont rlly have anything to say about them except awawawa

i got the judge magister there was... mr gabranth. the scene where he's telling all the stuff to ashe is so good. i love the detail of him having the helmet echo when he has it on. it's one of my fav parts about 12

i also got sazh's chocobo but not sazh himself :( but when/if i buy more cards...

and i got the good king moggle mog xii's art card too. idk anything about xiv though so....

ive got to talk about the emperor's dissidia staff sometime.... i dont have any thoughts about it but ive got to talk about it. i mean... DRAGONS? and then the whole snake motif... he is compensating for SOMETHING

Tidus illustration I drew during my livestream <:) I'm currently making my way through FF10 and I like Tidus a lot. The Blitzball games are absolutely unfun to play but I love the game you see during the opening cutscene, it's so cool.

hmmm i reckon i'll write the emperor with all of the dissidia characters too... i've been working on a cloud of darkness/jecht piece for a hot second and i think cod/jecht could work but this is about the emperor and i'd like to save my thoughts about one of my fav ships for another time so i'll try to dwell on emperor/cod

i think they could get along, maybe something about uneasy adversaries. i do have a plot bunny in the brain that might work for them but im trying to think about just how they'd interact. i just don't know... the cloud of darkness wants nothing while the emperor very much wants something to rule and they're opposed that way - but the difference between cod and ulti is that ulti works with mateus for her own gain versus cod who would rather play the short game versus the long game. she has played into kefka's hand but i think they both would not like him very much and maybe bond over that.

i dont know. im still thinking. but i've got to get to work soon soooo....

on an unrelated note if you have ideas for any of the other dissidia characters w mateus let me kno. im holding my head and shaking it over the idea of writing sephiroth/mateus because WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO WRITE

(me again) Alright, thanks for all the recommendations. Guess I gotta play ff2 bc of this ugly sexy blonde villain xd I quickly checked a couple of gameplays and honesty I find ff2 quite pleasant. I love grinding and getting frustrated with annoying mechanics. (RLCraft Dregora player here lmao hello) But I'd love to play other ff games afterwards. I've listened to some OSTs and holy heck, they're so good! Thank you.

btw i love your fanfictions. Your writing style is really really good. Keep up the good work fella. Would love to read some more with this blonde emperor dude. He's a unique character, that's for sure. I learnt he's based on David Bowie. I love him. Sadly he passed away too soon 😢

i dont know anything about minecraft mods! but if you like the grind then i hope you like ff2 :)

This emperor guy is kinda pretty, ngl. Found him recently and been reading your fics for a few weeks now. He's damn cool. I might actually get into final fantasy stuff bc of him. never played any of these before. But the graphics seem quite nice. Do you recommend final fantasy games?

FF is mostly the same type of game throughout the series. As a base I'd recommend the pixel remasters to start with but I wouldn't recommend playing ff2 first because it's a very different game versus all of the other FFs. I'll talk about a few I think could be good starting points:

FF10 is good bc I started w/ it :p it has an easy to understand hard to master battling system and the story rocks. The cutscenes are unskippable on some versions of the game so if you keep dying to one specific boss it's kind of obnoxious but it's such a good game and the story grips you and i love tidus mwahmwahmwahmwah

FF4 is another one I would recommend (specifically the 2D version, the 3D version is a bit clunky but it has voice acting if that's your thing) because it's got the ATB gameplay (which is just timed turn-based combat) and even though the story is pretty simple there's a lot of good themes throughout and the growth of the characters through the story is really sweet. and if you HAVE played ff4 to all other people reading this, you should play ff4 the after years :)

Finally I would recommend FF9 too. It also as the ATB gameplay but it felt very good to just fight and actually play the game when i first played it. it's a really poignant story and the character interactions are just. urgh. so good <3

You can pretty much start anywhere 1-10 because after 10 the games generally have a Bit they do with gameplay/story and I'm not really a fan of 15/16/7R's battling mechanics but if you look them up and they seem up your alley you could totally start with those too (though I also wouldn't recommend 16 as a starting point just because I think it helps to play some of the earlier games first)

However I would NOT recommend FF2 as a starting point like I said earlier!!! It has very obnoxious mechanics that people generally do NOT like (trap rooms w high encounter rates mainly) and if you don't know your way around the dungeons you will get lost and PO'd

but if you want to play ff2 first play the pixel remaster version for a way easier time or the psp/gba version for the content, aka all 57(ish) lines the Emperor has to say :P

as a whole FF is a staple jrpg series so if you like jrpgs (pokemon/persona/whatever else is out nowadays) i'd say go for it

i finished mgs1!

wowie wow wow. what a game. whenever i hear things about mgs as a whole it's about how deep the game is and how kojima is so cool awesome wonderful. and this game is really good but it has my least favorite thing ever: countdowns. urgh.

but the story itself was pretty good. as they were getting to the end i liked the dichotomy of solid snake + liquid snake (who has a silly little accent) as brothers and fighters and whatevs. snake was a really compelling protagonist for being so edgy.

all of the codec characters were pretty cool. otacon... hehe. he's pretty neat. naomi was pretty pretty but the ending with her telling snake to just go on and live!1!! made me go ???? and meryl was fine. i thought she was a little obnoxious but whatever

im not really into the war kind of games. so mgs and... other games with first-person cameras and guns and whatever. but i liked the story and all the jargon they used. and i liked the boxes. and i liked the use of ketchup. and... yea.

theyre bloody and shirtless at the end. what a game

hes so pretty. lightning storm goin on outside rn and i just love how he made a cyclone and how he manipulates nature. poisoning water? yea. cyclone? obvs. starfall? something pretty turned into disaster? and not to mention hes got sick ass PURPLE flames and thats pretty cool...

ive been trying to dwell on a mateus/maria and i cant decide how i want to do it. i have two ideas and one of them relies on leon but i want to let maria and leon have their own space to breathe whereas it wouldn't really work for maria/mateus. but ive already done too many fics in my suspiciously suspicious Mateus Is Alive Again au... but i think it'd be fun to write it like that. choices choices
