My name is Fayez, a father of three beautiful children. I live in Gaza, under the unrelenting siege and devastation of war.

Every day, we wake up not knowing if we’ll have food — not even bread or clean water.

The fear of bombs has been replaced by a greater fear: starvation.

I am not afraid to die from the airstrikes anymore. But I am terrified to watch my children die slowly from hunger. To hear them cry at night from empty stomachs, and have nothing to give them — that is a pain no parent should ever bear.

Last year I lost my uncle and his entire family in a missile attack on his displacement site in Rafah, and Al Jazeera YouTube reported.

Today, I am in pain as I miss the dearest to my heart, my father, who suffered from a stroke that caused him quadriplegia. He could not cope with the catastrophic life as we lived in a tent that was like a grave. His weak body was exposed to malnutrition as a result of not providing the necessary food for his condition, and the severe cold caused him to have a heart attack that led to his immediate death.

I wake up terrified every night. I check on my family, whom I fear will die of cold 🥶😰

And it was not limited to this, but our tent that shelters my family, children, and my brother Samer, who suffers from a chronic illness, was flooded and swept away under the dirt as a result of the heavy rains. Our tent has become worn out and does not protect us from the winds and rain ⛈️⛺

OK UM WOWWWW where did the time go... one second I'm about to start high school the next second I'm suddenly no longer a minor and just a few months away from graduation??? it's honestly so crazy to believe I'm considered a legal adult now and I still can't believe it tbh 😭😭😭😭 even then, I'm excited to see what further opportunities and things lie ahead for me!!!

I definitely do not draw myself (at least seriously) very often, but I think I definitely did a much better job at capturing myself compared to the previous attempts lol

I still feel like there's room for improvement cause tbh I still don't know how to draw myself Imao, unserious self portraits will always be my go to no matter what at the end of the day
