not to suddenly kuroshitsujitwt but i see lots of posts about people like theorizing that the phantomhive twins have ptsd with like cited evidence and the dsm or whatever.

it is literally not a theory these posts are very unnecessary and also like half of them are like just really weird and have no read more or tw’s which rlly sucks. like so many of them are like “omg guys, guess what… i believe ciel has ptsd *conspiracy music and jazz hands*”

almost no one who suffers severe childhood trauma, especially for an extended period of time and with the types plus the severity of the trauma they faced, would come out of it without some kind of traumagenic disorder—a child’s brain just like cannot handle it.

tldr: the phantomhive twins have ptsd and are traumatized, boom. i give you the ptsd card, go forth and prosper now that you no longer have to prove why canon is canon.

sorry if this felt like mean or angies, i’m just annoyed at the weirdly patronizing tone a lot of those posts have. it feels weird when things like ptsd and did are whittled down to a little sticker you get to grace a character who clearly is established having it with. idk maybe i’m bitter
