Lily liked parties, she really did! And reaping the benefits(be it very few)of being a Ninja was a habit she dabbled in from time to time! But being stuck in a fancy gala with so many people and bland food and boring conversations and weirdly loud music and a hairpiece that she had to readjust every few minutes because the stupid thing kept poking her and were there ALWAYS THIS many DAMN PEOPLE!?-

Safe to say Lily needed a breather…

“Fresh air, that's what I need! Just need some fresh air!” Lily whispered while shuffling herself through the various people attending and out into the nearest balcony, taking in a deep, deep breath in once the cool air hit her face. Her grey dress shimmering in the moonlight as she let go of it. Letting it drop back onto the ground

“Just a few minutes, then I'll be back out there!” Lily assured herself as she turned around and closed the light blue curtains behind her. The material silky and delicate as she hid herself from the inside, the curtains doing a surprisingly good job at muffling the music and people

“A few minutes, then I'll go back out” Lily repeated, adjusting her long light grey gloves before settling on just taking them off, slowly walking up to the edge of the balcony. The soft click of her slippers against the material of the balcony mingling with her thoughts as she took another breath in and out. Trying her hardest to cool her nerves and get back out there as quickly as possible

Lily’s arms rested on the metal railing of the balcony, her entire body leaning forward as she took off that damned hairpiece and let her carefully styled reddish brown hair fall past her shoulders and onto her back. The suspiciously sharp hairpiece now residing in the same hand as her gloves as she looked to the sky. It was close to midnight, the last speaks of morning dew fading from view as the moonlight glowed on Lily’s face, “just a few minutes” she repeated one more time. She knew at her core that she wanted to leave, and hell the others would definitely take her home if she asked them too, but they seemed like they were having fun. Wherever they were now anyway.

Cautious steps were heard behind the Time Ninja, interrupting her train of thought before something was felt bumping into her back. Lily quickly turned around, switching the hand that was holding her hairpiece before pointing it at the stranger like a dagger, quickly realizing who was behind her only moments after.

It was Saiko, healing Ninja and teammate as well as her…friend? Crush? Girlfriend? What they were wasn't exactly set in stone, and it didn't matter now anyway-Seeing that Lily had what could be considered a weapon for lack of a better word aimed DIRECTLY AT HER.

Saiko had her hands up-as what you would do in a situation like that, looking down at the hairpiece pointed at her before looking back up and giving a nervous yet awfully polite smile considering her posture at the moment.

Lily could only go red in embarrassment as both of her hands went behind her back and she stumbled away

“oh-OH! Oh my goodness I am so sorry! I-I really didn't mean to, I swear-I should really be going right now anyway so uhm goodbye!”

The Time Ninja sputtered unceremoniously before backing off and turning away, not really thinking about her unstyled hair or gloves currently being scrunched up in her hand. Just wanting to leave as quickly as possible as to not embarrass herself any more than she already had

“-Wait!”

Saiko grabbed her by the wrist, Lily turned around to look at her as her blush faded ever so slightly

“..don't leave,”

Saiko muttered hesitantly, her expression soft with a rosy tint to her cheeks. Her mouth opening to find the words before her lips curled into a reassuring smile

“It would be nice to have…company”

Saiko settled on, making Lily’s heart feel like it skipped a beat as her blush resurfaced for a very different reason. Lily turning to completely face her as she cleared her throat and nodded politely

“Ok, I accept!”

Lily agreed, trying to sound calmer than she actually was as Saiko let go of her wrist and comfortably leaned against the metal railing. Expecting Lily to do the same, and she did. Their shoulders now touching as awkward silence filled the space between them

“So…” Lily said, “kinda lucky how we both picked the same hiding spot huh?” She asked, hoping to get a conversation moving or at the least get a laugh out of her

“Well this was my second choice to be honest,” Saiko admitted, her fingers fidgeting with one of her dangling earrings as Lily raised an eyebrow out of curiosity. “I was actually gonna go hide in the storage closet with the broken lock but the twins were having a Mario kart tournament in there so I kind of had to leave”

Saiko explained, her tone amused yet kind of annoyed. “Wait a second-Mario kart? I thought Zane took away their consoles when we got here!?” Lily questioned, having very vividly remembered Zane taking the consoles and putting them in the back of the vehicle they were in before they all got out

“Honestly, your guess is as good as mine. I have no clue.” Saiko replied with a deadpan expression, placing a hand on Lily's shoulder as she made it clear how sick of their shit she was. A silence following for a good few seconds before they both burst into laughter

The laughter followed for a good couple uninterrupted minutes before they both sighed, the silence between them feeling more comfortable than before as the muffled music behind them smoothly transitioned into a slow waltz, Giving Saiko an idea. And idea that may or may not have come from Jay rubbing off of her a bit more than he should've

“Say, if you're up for it. And since we're probably gonna be here for the rest of the night…how about a dance? Right here, right now, just me and you” Saiko blurted out, moving towards the middle of the balcony as she smiled, clearly trying very hard to seem more calm about what she just spontaneously offered than she actually was.

Lily wasn't any more calm, her face flushing back up to the deep red it was moments before as she put a hand to her cheek and turned away “I-well-gee I uhm, I'm really no good at dancing” Lily stated while putting down her gloves and hairpiece anyway,

“the music is slow, besides, wouldn't now be the best time to learn?” Saiko opened her arms up, her light blue dress in full view towards Lily as she spoke. And-well, how could Lily say no to a view as beautiful as that?

“Well, if you insist. Don't blame me if we both fall though” Lily agreed, trying to will away her blush as she walked to directly face Saiko. Saiko adjusted Lily's awkward hand placement before placing her hands on her in return, from an outside view this would've almost looked…romantic-and awkward, very very awkward. But hey, out of sight out of mind, right?

At least that's what Lily told herself as she stepped on Saiko's foot again, and again, and again, and agai-ok you get the point. Lily wasn't really that bad at dancing, she just kept getting distracted, by what? You already know what, not like Lily would ever say that out loud though.

But finally, finally, near the end of the song, their form actually looked like it was getting somewhere, “one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three,” Lily repeated internally. Maybe she wasn't so bad at dancing!

Saiko's grip got tighter on her, or at the least more firm as she muttered “great, you're doing amazing”. And there went Lily's focus And before she knew it she tripped once more and sent them both tumbling to the ground. their mingled groans of pain overshadowing the ending of the song.

“Augh, I…told you I was shit” Lily muttered, she'd be laughing if the fall didn't hurt like hell

“Guess I should've listened then..?” Saiko replied, a small smile curling on her lips as she quietly checked to see if Lily was hurt, and Lily did the same. Luckily nothing was outwardly wrong with either of them

“Yea…” Lily replied, sitting up with Saiko still for lack of a better word under her before she chuckled. And the shared chuckling turned into another fit of laughter, stupid, kinda high pitched laughter.

“Promise you'll never ask me to dance with you again?” Lily asked, more so a joke if anything. She'd be more than will to try and practice when no one else was looking any day

“eh…I'll think about it” Saiko replied with a dopey smile that Lily returned, just staring at each other, nothing else. The sound of people far away from where they were now, and they wouldn't have it any other way.

“Your eyes look nice in the moonlight, have I ever told you that before?” Lily blurted out, a clear attempt at flirting that was as subtle as a truck as her hand palmed Saiko's cheek

“...no” Saiko replied, her face visibly heating up as the excuse of a pickup line worked like magic and Saiko's eyes darted between the hand on her cheek and the girl in front of her.

What could've happened next could only be up to the imagination as the curtains were unceremoniously opened.

“just so both of you know we're leaving in a few minutes so head to ent…” Said the Dark Ninja and unfortunately the little brother figure to the both of them, Akdio. Looking around at first as if he was looking for them before his eyes landed in the compromising position they were in to say the least

“EEEEWWWWWUUH are y'all smooching or something!?” Akdio teased, clearly just overselling it trying to rile them up. And unfortunately it worked on Saiko every time for some weird reason.

“WE WERE NOT SMOOCHING YOU BRAT” Saiko berated, wriggling away from under Lily and b lining straight towards him before being held back. Akdio running away while fake “bleh”-ing

“I still can't believe you call him your brother.” Saiko gritted her teeth in anger, while helping Lily up

“says the one who's father figure was last seen obsessing over the chocolate fountain” Lily muttered in response playfully as she put back on her gloves and decided not to put the hairpiece back on and deal with that again for the rest of the ride home

“now when the hell did I proclaim that man as my father” Saiko raised an eyebrow playfully “since forever” Lily snapped back as she opened the curtains for Saiko to walk through before walking through herself

She's caught sneaking a glance in the background once or twice but never does anything notable until her one to one conversation with Jay. This doesn't seem noteworthy at first but as the season continues to flesh her out you notice how she's deliberately listening to everyone around her. Keeping watch for lies

Context: in this point of the story Cole as Rouge is forced to work for Chen with The chameleon(Skylor in my au)because blackmail is a bitch and Aeri as Starlight (an OC that's not mine) catches him and questions him

Rouge climbed up the edge of the roof, putting his grapple back in it's holster with a miserable exhale. Sirens and muffled voices filling the background as The Chameleon flipped and landed next to him gracefully, receiving an eye roll from Rouge at her dramatics

"mission successful"

The Chameleon said pridefully, yet calmly as she stretched a bit. Her purple hair swaying a bit in it's low ponytail before reaching a hand out to Rouge. Clearly signaling for him to give her the bag in his hand, he gripped the bag tighter. Refusing to look at her

"c'mon, I don't got all day. You still have it don't you?"

The Chameleon asked further, snapping her gloved fingers before Rouge sighed. Handing her the bag begrudgingly as he muttered to himself a bit. She looked inside the bag, shifting through it with her finger before taking something out of it

"yes, this will do nicely. Boss will be pleased"

The Chameleon said with a sky smirk, the bright red gem shining between her fingers before she put it back in the bag and closed it once more, putting it in her holster before turning to Rouge once more

"sorry to cut this short but this is all for now, I'll look forward to working with you again though...partner"

The Chameleon said, clearly mocking Rouge as her eyes narrowed through her goggles. Watching him tense up with disgust at the nickname

"I'm not your partner."

Was all Rouge responded with, gritting his teeth through the mask as he balled up his fists and watched The Chameleon jump from rooftop to rooftop away with narrowed eyes. he hated working with her, he hated it so much. But he had to, as long as they knew who he was, and as long as they knew who his father was, he had to...

Rouge slumped over defeatedly, the only thing on his mind besides the overwhelming feeling of uselessness that felt like a constant weight on his neck being the thought that at least The Ninja are still heroing, or more so that at least Starlight wasn't being forced to do this, at least she was still fighting for justice, at least she was ok.

Rouge's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the sound of someone jumping down from the rooftop behind him. Taking his hammer and getting into a stance as quickly as he heard it after he turned around, looking at who was behind him. Losing his stance as quickly as he got into it

"Rouge? Is that you!?"

Starlight said in a mix of emotions Rouge couldn't decipher, running towards him as he froze in place

"shit shit shit shit shit"

Rouge thought in a panic, the last thing he wanted was for her to see him like this. She can't see him like this, it was too late though. Starlight stopping in front of him

"What was that!? Did you just work with The fucking CHAMELEON to rob the museum of jewelry!?"

Starlight said clearly pissed, her eyes narrowed as Rouge was still frozen in place. Unsure what to do or what to say as he just stood there in shame

"Why!? Why would you just suddenly start stealing shit during the worst times in Ninjago to fucking HAPPEN!? You proved yourself over and over that all you wanted was to help! To fix things! So why are you being such a god damn hypocrite!?"

Starlight continued, shoving Rouge back out of anger as it slowly melted into sadness. He wanted to tell her, he wanted to tell her everything. But he knows that she'd end up ropeing herself into this too, and the last thing he'd want is for her to face the threat of her loved ones being hurt or at worst killed. Even if he didn't know who they were

"come on, answer me!"

Starlight pleaded, her voice wavering as she waited for Rouge to say something, anything in return.

Rouge stayed silent, not being able to look her in the eyes before he balled up his fists again. Taking a deep breath in and out as he put a mental border between them

"I can't...I can't give you a reason...I'm sorry"

Rouge replied, his voice much quieter then then it usually is as he looked back at Starlight. Starlight was basically in the verge of crying at this point,

"if you were sorry you'd actually tell me what's going on! I thought I knew you, out of everyone don't you think I deserve to know!?-"

Starlight said, small tears staining the cover of her eyes before she was interrupted by Rouge

"I don't owe you an answer, ok!? We're not friends, we're not teammates, and we're not partners..."

Rouge spat, his voice laced with frustration and regret as he backed away.

"its best if you just...forgot about me, I don't want to hurt you too"

Rouge muttered, the last part much quieter before he jumped off the building and grappled away in a swift movement. Starlight reached after him, but stopped seeing that there was no point.

Starlight just stared off at the city below where Rouge was, tears bubbling up from her eyes and continuing to stain her mask as she frustratedly punched the ground below her

Forget about him? Like hell she could.

My Ninjago movie oc

-she's a local mechanic in the city and middle aged, somewhat in the middle of a midlife crisis but she drowned that out a while ago with alcohol and cigarettes,

-kind of an asshole but she's just trying to get the job done and has no idea how to do small talk,

-Zane's "mom" except she has no idea he's calling her his mom and actively refuses to be called as such(she doesn't want to corrupt him)

-Zane just started following her one day after she fixed him up because she was bored, she doesn't know how it evolved to that but he now has his own room in her "house"(two rooms and a garage)(she sleeps in the garage)

-only listens to the news because of background noise and couldn't give two shits who tf this kid is and is honestly confused on why everyone hates him for some reason. But if Zane calls him his friend then why should she care?

-honestly kinda needs glasses but she refuses to get her eyes checked, no matter how many times Zane brothers her about it

-despite all her faults she's actually a really good mechanic,

-keeps her past as vague as possible at all times because she doesn't like thinking about it

-there's probably more thinks I forgot to mention but that's all for now

-Skylor's counterpart is called "The chameleon" her powers being a Mix of the elements "Form" and "Amber". As you could tell I basically just mashed together Skylor and the master of Form together in terms of personality and looks. Although her form while she's The chameleon is drastically different from her actual looks

-She actually doesn't have a name, she has persona's that she slips in and out of like her "Skylor" persona that she uses while working at various Chen's noodles establishments to check if everything's running smoothly and if any regular employees stumbled upon anything they shouldn't have or her Chameleon persona that she uses to take on missions and "jobs" stealing information and taking valuable artifacts to her father's bidding. But other than that she still just doesn't have a name

-her redemption arch much like Lloyd's takes longer than it did in the actual show. Having to go through a mental breakdown after being apart of the final fight during "season two" and being sent to a psych ward before she starts turning over a leaf.

-she has to physically train if she's gonna impersonate an elemental master, one wrong move and she's constantly drenched or her clothes randomly catch fire or she's constantly getting electrocuted or ice keeps attaching her feet to the floor every time she stands still for too long. And at worst it could actually hurt her if she's not properly trained(now that I think of it with the amount of secret elemental masters in my au she's not gonna have a very fun time...oops)

-Vania is actually a lot different than her canon counterpart in terms of role. She's a mix of the Mailman you see in every season, and the master of sound, and her original counterpart. She's an excitable journalist for the news who likes her job a bit too much and although she does come from money she very rarely asks for it or uses it unless it's completely necessary. She also has a pretty strong ambition to get a photo of the mysterious vigilante "Rouge". Catching him in the most inconvenient places possible to get pictures. She is the first one to find his identity though, but instead of telling the whole world she sticks to her best friends wishes and just keeps aspiring to her pictures. But it's more like an inside joke to them if anything

-due to bring the unrealized master of sound she's crazy good at dodging attacks at the distance and knowing if someones behind her or who's behind her. It being framed as a kind of "Pinky sense" type thing before it's actually revealed

-I haven't actually found a role for Dareth yet, there isn't any green ninja prophecy so there's no reason for them to go there. Pus their base isn't destroyed nearly as often so even if there was there's no reason why they'd go to his dojo if all places. So uh....if you have any ideas please feel free to comment them

-I don't know how and I'm not willing to try and figure it out. But I like to think Lego dreamzz and my Ninjago au would be in the same universe. Not like in a show or any dimensional stuff, but like in the same planet or place. I imagine it'd be like those American dystopian movies, where everyone just imagines that everywhere else just recovered and everything was fine or they just weren't affected. And they'd just like talk about it casually like

-"oh and also I'm pretty sure Ninjago got run over by shadow creatures so that checks off that as a vacation spot"

-"wait wasn't that place run over last year?"

-"well yea but you know Ninjago"

-"Yeaa...anyways"

-hehehe

-and as similar as Cooper and Jay are I really wanna pair Jay with Nova because I love them both and she deserves some love(and an actual adventure)Plus they both had that paranoia thing going on in the season before the "cross over" so they'd be able to connect on that

-(or maybe it's just my fatherless Nova headcanon controlling me to make this pairing but who knows)

-I also think Sneak's and Zane's dynamic would be fun, no particular reason just Calm and peaceful owner and his Feral chaos Grimspawn.

-I think it would be nice as a little continuity thing for both shows to mention the others continuity just as a little nug nug wink wink. Like when my ninjago au mentions the night beru when they talk about if the Shadows could crawl into dreams, or Izzie gushing about her favorite Ninja, or Ozz saying something about staying far away from Ninjago as a fun gag because do you know how much shit happens down there in a daily basis?

-I imagine Fugidove and Jay's dynamic to be the same as it is in the original series UNTIL, at the very end of season two. Jay's corruption from Cotard's Stone is taking it's fucking TOLL, and that damn bird is still running it's mouth. Long story short Jay has his little "Awakening", decimates the thing Fugi was in. Terrifying him for life

-from then on Jay has a deep set hatred and "on sight" mentality towards Fugi while he's just begging him to leave him alone cause IT'S BEEN A YEAR PLEASE MAN I'M NOT EVEN THAT POWERFUL I'M JUST A GUY IN A BIRD COSTUME PLEASE. And every interaction they have is just a question of when and how is Jay gonna mentally and or physically hurt Fugidove this time. It's mostly just a running gag though

-Jay and Cole were friends but they "broke up" in highschool before the show started so now they're like bitter exes with so much lingering tension that neither of them explain ever(Doomed Bruise)

-I can imagine Kai doing that one trend being like "saying I'm so hungry I could eat my co-workers ex best friend who he mysteriously broke up with in highschool"

-Jay would be fucking STUNNED

Aeri Starlēnn(from .cxlesyang_ on Tiktok): (you'll learn about her from her page. But I'm just going to explain her role in my au) she works as a promising young Journalist for the main news station by day and a fellow Vigilante by the name of "Starlight" with the elemental power of Star by night. Though she's a bit more reckless then her earth "counterpart" so she has to be a bit more careful when running into the ninja. she does mean well though and is always trying to do what's right(while having a bit of fun of course)

Aeri as Starlight and Cole as Rouge hang after a patrol late at night when she asks a question

It was midnight in Ninjago city, The moonlight peaking through the storm clouds as light rain hit the bustling cars and streetlights. The two vigilantes sat at the edge of a rooftop, their patrolling over for the night. But they indulged in each other's company for a just a little while longer. Not wanting to part ways until tomorrow night just yet

Starlight ran back to the rooftop where Rouge was. Sounding a little out of breath as she sat down next to him

"I'm...I'm back!"

Starlight said lightheartedly as she continued to catch her breath. She obviously left and came in a hurry but she never said what for. A mysterious grocery bag in one hand as she gave Rouge a smile. Well as much as a smile she could give seeing that her mask covered everything but her eyes

"I can see that."

Rouge responded, still wondering what she quickly left for as he stared at her eagerly. She was always somewhat of a mystery to him, she was much more reckless and outgoing then him. Yet still as filled with justice as he was, as much as he wanted to push her away her endearing nature always caught right back up to him. It was...nice in a way

"what'd you leave for?"

Rouge asked right after, not feeling the heat radiating off Starlight's face as he leaned closer to to see what was in the bag she held more clearly. She quickly scooted away due to embarrassment right after

"dude, personal space!"

Starlight said trying to hide her embarrassment as she narrowed her eyes at Rouge, making him raise his hands at her in mock surrender

"ok ok, sorry! Seriously though what's in that bag?"

Rouge asked more clearly, raising an eyebrow as he spoke

"I'm glad you asked, catch!"

Starlight said, her demeanor changing from flustered to playful in a matter of seconds as she took whatever was in the bag and threw it towards him

"wait wha-"

Rouge asked before a can of soda was chucked at him. Luckily he was able to catch it before it hit him in the face but it still caught him off guard

"Jeez stargirl you could've!-...is this a can of Fizzy D™?"

Rouge said, staring at the label in front of him with a puzzled expression before staring at Starlight again. A playful look still on her face as she kicked her feel on the edge

"You bet Earthboy!"

Starlight replied, giving Rouge a wink as she opened the second can in her hand. The purple-ish black of her suit reflecting on the shiny blue illuminum

"How did you...get this?"

Rouge asked, suspicion in his tone as he held the unopened can in his hand. Turning his head to Starlight who was waiting for him to take a sip

"I bought it...duh"

Starlight replied, starting to roll up the bottom of her mask to drink her soda before Rouge spoke once more

"ok...how?"

Rouge asked further, it's not like Starlight could have just walked into the gas station and got them, and the nearest vending machine is pretty far not to mention completely busted. So either she actually stole them(which would be completely hypocritical mind you) or as a latter option-

"WHO STOLE TWO SODA CANS???"

Someone yelled in the distance, making them both turn to look at where it was coming from before Rouge scowled at Starlight

"Staar-"

Rouge began, his tone stern as his brows furrowed

"I didn't steal it!"

Starlight retaliated, irritated as she threw her hands up in the air

"AND WHY IS THERE A PILE OF COINS ON THE CASH REGISTER???"

They yelled further.

"see!?"

Starlight said going for the latter option, making Rouge roll his eyes as he opened the can of Fizzy D™. The carbonated beverage room temperature at best yet Starlight still seemed to enjoy it

"sigh...whatever"

Rouge said trying to hide the amusement in his voice as he rolled up the bottom half of his mask and took a sip of the Fizzy D™ in his hand. Almost catching Starlight staring at his lips a little longer the she should before she cleared her throat

"So!...uh-i haven't seen you out during patrol in a while"

Starlight said, trying to sound casual as she worked up the courage to ask the question

"eh, conflicting schedules. Gangs and business I have to research, warding off those shadowy fucks because the 'shining wall of golden energy' not actually being that secure...it's been a lot lately"

Rouge said with a noticable grimace in his tone, taking a longer sip of his Fizzy D™ as he looked at the sky

"Y'know I sorta missed you with all that time alone and all...it would be nice to talk to you in a non fighting scenarioo.."

Starlight said, slightly nervous as she put down her drink. Almost empty as she fiddled with her fingers, leaning towards Rouge slightly before he interrupted her

"-Star no. We went over this already, t's called a secret identity for a reason."

Rouge said sternly, pulling his mask down again as he turned his head to face Starlight

"frustrated groan! but it's not like I'm gonna tell the whole world! You could literally just tell me where you work and I'd be happy with that!"

Starlight groaned in response, clearly frustrated with the space put between them as she pleaded

"ok first of all you wouldn't even know who I'd be, second of all I'm pretty sure getting a seat only to talk to an employee the whole time would get you kicked out and me fired. plus the noodles would get old fast, I mean I like Che-"

Rouge said with a continued stern tone before almost saying the name of where he worked. Starting to sweat a little as Starlight pushed for what he was going to say

"Cheeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh"

"hey hey don't back out on me now what did you say? I'm pretty sure I heard where you worked come on let me hear it I wanna see you c'moon I could at the very least get your number-"

An idea popped up in Starlight's head, wait a minute. She could just ask for his number! How has she not thought of that before!?

"...ok ok, I get it...we can't reveal our identities to each other. Buut if we exchange numbers we technically aren't revealing who we are...!"

Starlight said, basically pleading with Rouge as she gave him puppydog eyes. His resolve slowly fading as he looked her in eyes, his gaze moving around in thought

"sigh alright...just give me your-"

Starlight's phone was shoved in Rouge's face, already in her contacts folder before he slowly reached out to grab it. As much as a hazzard as that thing was she never listen when he told her that.

"Phone..."

Rouge finished, holding Starlight's phone as he started to put his number in..taking a passive glance at the time as he did so

two nineteen digit digit-TWO NINETEEN???

Rouge immediately hands Starlight back her phone. Getting up and leaving his soda behind as he got up and immediately started running

"HOLY-SHIT-IT'S-TWO-NINETEEN-I-HAVE-TO-WAKE-UP-EARLY-TOMORROW-FOR-NOODLE-RUSH-SORRY-BYEE"

Rouge yelled, his voice getting quieter and quieter as he sprinted away as quick as he could...

"wait what!?"

"'Noodle rush'!?"

Starlight asked, getting up in confusion before she looked at her phone...

Only three digits were put in before he left.

Starlight groaned once more, the rain that lightly dripped on her feeling more noticeable then it did before as she put her phone back and turned to go home. Her sister probably fast asleep

I have another idea for a Ninjago Au...

It's pretty loosely based off of the short "Sweatin to the Goldies"

-Zane and Jay are the main two "Ninja" in this au(obviously) but the main characters vary from time to time.

-Nya and Kai were apart of the main group of four people called the "Ninja", you know how in skybound the ninja were famous and in commercials and had paparazzi following them and whatnot? Well that's what the "Ninja" are like in this Au bumped up to eleven

-almost all their fights are recorded, their face can and will be put on almost anything and they're known all around Ninjago.

-the incident that caused Nya and Kai to separate from the group is mostly kept vague, an explosion knocking down a building with them still in it. But the specifics of it don't really matter

-what does matter is how they were treated by the media after they "died"

-they were treated like they weren't even there, like they didn't exist. Like they never existed, their faces wiped off of everything. They(Mostly Nya) had their suspicious so that's why they didn't come back immediately after surviving

-and so they decided to roam the streets as vigilante's as to still help but to not go back to the way it was before

-also Lloyd plays the role as "Villain", supposedly being the one doing everything and constantly breaking out of Jail along with an assortment of other villains

-Cole works as "help" for the Ninja, help being almost anything from readying training gear and equipment for use or helping with schedules. He used to be best friends with Jay but after the "incident" they've been... distant

-the Manager for the "Ninja" is called Ms. Flect, her vibes are a mix of "Reflectra" and maybe Crux and also that one purple guy with the staff in Dragons Rising. She's obviously a little devious but she's not that bad of a person. The people want a show, and that's what she want to give them. No matter what

-Zane is completely blind to what's going on behind the scenes, this life is all he knows. And all he ever has known. So of course hasn't questioned it...for now that is. But under the veil of lies over his eyes he's genuinely a good person. He only wants to help people, it's what he was made to do after all

-Jay is also oblivious to what's going on behind the scenes, but he's somewhat more focused on the "show" and the looks rather then legitimately helping people. He's in by far the most promotional material and talk shows, and serves as "the face" with Kai "mysteriously" missing. He tries way to hard to impress Ms. Flect and get on her good side, he was nothing before this. Why shouldn't he try to fulfill the wishes of the one who made him everything?

-as much as the two don't realize Kai and Nya served as a kind of stability for the team, being a bit more chill about their rolls and relieving stress within the team as well as being more willing to refuse and deny certain offers and ideas and being Divas when it comes to commercialing

-Cyrus Borg is obviously the creator for the weapons they use in the fights. But besides the vehicles and the blast rays he's made specific things to help the Ninja that aren't exactly shown on camera, like Gloves for Jay to help him control his powers or a more fire resistant outfit for Kai or a more powerful heater for Zane since due to his powers he freezes up more easily.

-I imagine every intro for a season would start with a recording or VHS of the Ninja before the incident doing a group pose or something like that before the Character's weapon that the season is centered around is thrown at the center character. Breaking the screen before the proper intro starts

-will probably add more in a different part

Things about my Ninjago Au I think are cool

-It's based off of the "Gold rush" short

-Kai and Nya are the first two ninja, just two reckless teenagers fighting thugs in makeshift suits and accidentally finding out about an ancient artifact that could bring about the end of the world. Releasing shadow creatures from the darkness upon the entirety of Ninjago bringing everlasting destruction and fear, and after the whole fiasco ending with the good side of Ninjago protected by a shining wall of light. They get picked up by none other than Cyrus Borg himself, willing to give them a full set of professional gadgets and training suits for the price of working under the government. Of course they agree

-Lloyd still first starts out as the main antagonist but he's aged up to 17 and is treated a lot more seriously to an extent. Taking a lot longer to be redeemed, like Redson from Monkie kid in a way where he's unnecessarily dramatic and flamboyant. Though he is able to be menacing,

-garmmadon/Wu do not exist, replaced by the Overlord and the like light version of them or something. Misako being a scholar turned god spouse and after running off with her child she basically had to raise the antichrist. Which was not fun but she tried(too bad Lloyd turned on her and the Ninja to go be edgy)

-Jay does not start off as a ninja, sure he's part of the team but he first appears at the end of the "pilot episodes" as tech support and help for the Ninja fixing up weapons that can't be mass produced and stuff like that. He's actually just a voice sorta like Pixel until near the end of "season one" where we get a face reveal as well as him getting his own office to properly work in during the start of "season two", he's also just referred to as "Walker" for most of "season one"

-Zane also doesn't start off as a Ninja, being found and fixed up by Jay in the "second episode" there's no shocking reveal that he's a robot. There is however a mystery surrounding how something as advanced as him was just thrown away and why every data card that could've held a memory was corrupted beyond repair. Not to mention no one actually knows what he runs off of, and as easy as it would be to just take it out and study it from there the last time it was removed it honestly seemed like he was dead for a bit. He just helps around the ninjas base and Jay's office and Borg tower because he feels a sense of duty to do so

-Cole wouldn't you know it, also doesn't start off as a ninja! His identity isn't even shown at first as he's a vigilante called "Rouge" with mysterious earth powers and a no nonsense attitude. Comes off as rude and mysterious at first but slowly develops a sorta flirtatious rivalry with Kai(much to literally everyone around them's dismay). Doesn't want to be apart of the ninja purely due to what his father would think and shit like that. Besides, he's dead set on the idea that he works better alone anyway. And no amount of nights clumsily crawling through his bedroom window while bleeding out is gonna change that...unfortunately

-there's a running gag where either Kai or Nya will walk in Jay's office being all casual before bringing in the most mangled and unrecognizable piece of machinery and walking off with an excuse of something they need to do. Leaving him and sometimes Zane to just...stare at it, Zane with concern and confusion and Jay with complete and utter despair since he's the one who has to fix the damn thing

-there's the moment "at the end of the first half of season two" where the ninja are partying sorta like that one scene during season one. And Jay instead of being with them is just frustratedly filling taxes because of the damage they caused, it's framed like a joke but when it's looked back on as a flashback it's very much not and he is genuinely frustrated and stressed over the sheer amount of shit he has to do

-true potential is less based on a spiritual awakening than a realization whether it be true or not let alone a good one. It also has to be fueled by a certain emotion, Kai with determination and a bit of pride attached that no matter what he's gonna protect Ninjago with a determined "this is my home, and I will never let you destroy it!" , Nya with pure joy at the revelation that the whole idea is that they were supposed to do it together with a joyful "It was us the whole time!" , Cole with anger and spite at the realization that saying nothing means compliance and he shouldn't be running from this with a defiant "No!", Jay with complete despair and self loathing at the realization that there was nothing he could've done to stop it and that he has no more control over himself with a broken and guilty "I'm sorry", and lastly Zane with hope and believing at his seemingly final moments hoping for a better future with a quiet prayer "I believe that this isn't over, I hope for a better future, even without me in it."

-speaking of elemental powers the staff of forbidden Spinjitsu is now actually a stone, feeding off the elemental user's worst aspects along with the emotion triggering their "true potential" to tire them out enough and make them destroy themselves until they're a perfect host for destruction. as you could tell it physically hurts to use wether the user actually knows that or not, causing weird shifts in personality and uncontrollable outbursts of elemental energy although the power of them vary from how powerful the element actually is.

-Since we're still talking about Elemental powers Lightning is one of the most powerful/unstable elements to exist, physically hurting the user and those around them if used without focus or training and doing even worse when too much power is put into an attack. Leaving permanent scars on their hands and even up to their eyes depending on where they launch the attack from, hands and feet specifically. It also effects nearby electronics, making them short circuit or frizz up when the user is emotional or charging up an attack.

-Shadow creatures are majorly indestructible, almost untouchable except when hit with pure concentrated golden energy. Golden energy itself was actually pretty easy to find, it being scattered and left around after the fight between the creatures and the two ninja "at the end of the first season" Concentrating it and putting it into weaponry however was the hard part. Swords, although really cool and being used in the fight, were impractical for the average Police officer or civilian. Using up too much energy and basically having to fly in order to not get hurt while using it due to the Shadow creatures mass and speed. Thus they choose a gun as the main weapon, it was still hard to create though. And it took a while to create

-the prototype for these weapons were created near the end of the "season two", spawning from a manic "eureka" moment Jay had at three in the morning while lost in thought. Which he spent almost seven weeks straight working on it every chance he got, it was...worrying to say the least from literally anyone else's perspective. But it paid off, actually working for the most part until it jammed at the end of "season two", the fixing/tweaking and further production/improvement being taken care of by Borg industries while Jay healed up(much to his dismay and retaliation)

-The ninja sometimes have to go to fancy Gala's to get more funding for their gadgets and machinery as well as improvement for their image. First being mentioned and executed in the(maybe)two part "episode" called Fitting in with the fancies. And(if I stick with the whole two-part thing)A chase in the Gala.(I made up these names on the spot so they might change later).

-Will add more whenever
