okay ya’ll, we all know the real reason that ppl perceive kadri as “””the most violent leaf””” despite the fact that he has 20 less penalty mins than noted troublemaker, zach hyman, who i’ve never seen get any hate. he’s not even in the top 5 players with the most hits. like yeah naz has had some dirty hits, I’m not saying he’s completely innocent 100% of the time, but he doesn’t deserve the amount of vitriol spewed against him and the reason is literally so obvious. hockey is such a white-dominated sport (both players and fans) and so i can’t help but believe that the reason ppl view our only clearly brown player as more violent is honestly just due to racism. thanks for coming to my ted talk.

So here we have John Tavares getting hit in the face with Grezlik’s stick (unless they’ve changed the rules, when you hit someone in the face with your stick, that’s called high-sticking, and is illegal)

Then about 10 seconds later, here he is getting hit in the face by McAvoy’s stick several times (once again, pretty sure that’s illegal)

But despite getting hit in the face with a stick about four times in 10 second span, John Tavares drew zero penalites
