As I lay on my bedroom floor bathing in the warmth of sunlight through my window, I suddenly felt a little cold. I realized the sun had moved behind the middle part of the window frame and was casting a shadow on my body. Something was blocking the sun itself; however, its rays and its light could still be seen and felt despite the shadow cast. As I shifted my attention to the trees gently swaying, it occurred to me, that this is like the light of God within us. It is there and can be felt and seen by others at least somewhat even if we feel our inner blocks are so massive. The fact that we even care about those blocks proves the light is there illuminating what is, so we can see it and grieve of necessary. I thought, "Regardless of the lack I feel inside so often, if just a little light shines through, it is ~ enough ~ to make a positive difference.
