I watched 28 Years Later with the same friends I watched Final Destination with.

Most of my friends were okay but I was struggling to understand the dialogue, and it took me a while to figure out what the main character's name was. He's a great actor.

I was sort of disappointed, and I didn't like it that much at the end. It stopped being a horror movie halfway and I could tell that the whole life/death thing was kind of shoved down your throat. Also, I could tell they were hellbent on setting up for The Bone Temple.

As one of my friends said, "if you go past a third installment of the movies, it's time to stop."

It was stated before that Amp was one of the Neoterics who had the least development.

Amp does a whole lot of things not because he's interested or he desires to, but because he wants to be better than others. To seem more superior, higher in some non-physical way.

Only today, he's starting to do things for himself. He paints for enjoyment, he fixes and dismantles electronics for his own amusement. He used to do both for both practicality, superiority in skill and knowledge.

I still think I don't love traveling. I recently came back from a week long vacation. Holy fuck, I was miserable? Don't get me wrong, I live in a hot area, but I'm not used to heat at all. I was a grilled clock and there was nothing that I could do.

It was so dry, all the time. Nothing I could put on my face stopped it from completely drying out and it's not working right now that I'm back home. Because it was dry, (page break for gross imagery)

I started bleeding out of both nostrils almost every two hours of the day, and I would have to drop whatever I was doing to run and find the nearest bathroom each time because I didn't want to be gagging and choking on my own blood for 40 minutes.

The 9000 Generation

Something I think about a lot is the fact that it's implied there's several HALs that exist in the world.

(This is also mentioned in the book, I believe.) While it explicitly says "HAL" and not just the 9000 series in general, I'm sure this can also extend to SAL and other unnamed units that may exist we'll never know about, but the wording makes me think it's mostly HALs. After the events of what happened in 2001, I can't help but wonder what happened to the rest. Did they get recalled? Was the public scared of them, if they were installed anywhere? Did Langley/Chandra get harassed regularly? Did Chandra have to work on the HAL 1000 alone?

Yesterday I watched the newest Final Destination movie with my friends. This guy I know is a massive fan, I've never watched a single film, the only exposure I've had to it is the whole log scene in the first one and then a brief synopsis of what sort of recurs in the movie in the car ride to the theater.

I'm kind of afraid of heights, so the opening part was kind of physically painful to me? Either way, I liked it, it's well made in my opinion.

I'm sorry it's been radio silent on my end for an achingly long time. I'm not going to deeply complain about how my 2025 has been going, but let's just say that a certain election has put a lot on my plate, which already had a ton of issues and school.

I swear that I'm back, at least. I never forgot about you guys, sometimes you just have to drop what you like when important things happen or something. I'm sure you guys will understand.

Please don’t repost my art without asking me. As I don’t like scrolling on Pinterest only to be jump scared by own fanart that someone else reposted. Now they did credit me and state that they like the design, however:

Whilst I understand this comes in the territory of creating fanart, it is still very unpleasant and rather disrespectful to me, especially since I am a small artist that majority of people don’t know or won’t look up.

Most of the characters in Neoteric (before it was called that) were written to be some form of telepathic, though especially Crescendo and Amp most notably. The rest were for characters that never made it into Neoteric

Crescendo would have had the passive ability to stun/paralyze his enemies during prolonged eye contact. It's why he was always designed to have something like a spiral in his irises. He was also initially on the "evil" side, so an ability like this would make him seem more murderous and crazy.

Amp would have the ability to immensely nauseate and disorient through physical contact only through his finger tips. I believe he was supposed to be an evil figure of power in one of his concepts, anyway. Manipulation.

Obviously, none of this carries into Neoteric because it makes ZERO sense why robots have mental abilities. It would also be overpowered and it was uninteresting to roleplay or write.
