This was one of the first posts i made after I created this account. When I wrote it, I had always envisioned your standard, average full sized tub. Now I keep thinking about it in a stand up tub, kind of like what's on a cruise ship. The super tight spacing would, I think, only enhance a scenario like this.

Two lovers. The relationship isn't new, but it is the first time they've done an overnight together. They're showering together, both facing forward for a while, one behind the other, entwined in each other's arms. A decent amount of steam builds up in the shower. Person A: leans forward as far as possible, stifles several times.

Person B: Bless you. Are you alright? A: Thank you. I'm so sorry, excuse me. It's just the steam getting to me. <a few more stifles, makes visible effort to hold back first> Forgive me.

B: God bless. No need to apologize, it's totally fine. Don't hold back on my account, I know it makes it worse for you when you do that. B gently turns A around so they are now facing each other. B: Here. Why don't you just let them go? I see you struggling still. Just lean in to me, let it all out.

A: But I...<turns head to the side, stifles a few more>...don't want to make a mess all over you.

B: Bless you again. Darling, we're in the shower. Anything you get on me will wash away instantly.

A is overcome by a fit. B pulls A in, A leans in to B's neck, then shoulder, then bosom in full release for several minutes.

B: Oh, bless you. See? Didn't that feel so much better?

A: Thank you. Yes, I guess it did.

Thinking about the image of someone burying their face in their elbow to sneeze a completely silent stifled sneeze … something about it feels so dramatic (like? why are you being so intense about covering when you stifled the sneeze down to nothing?) and I love it

Today in absolutely stereotypical snz/illness tropes come to life.

Stepped out my office door at the end of the day. Crazy lightning, ridiculously loud thunderclap, and then the sky just....opened. It was cartoonish. I couldn't see my car 10 feet in front of me. I was instantly drenched and basically had to sit in it for the 30 minute commute home. One time in my life did I get drenched and end up with a cold two days later. Would prefer to not ever do that again.

So someone in my office has it out for me, as when I came in today, these were back again. Snz count for me today: probably a month's worth

Unexpectedly random snz trigger - balloons. Right now in the lobby of my office we have a ridiculously super tall decorative column of balloons. Tall enough that it comes up to my shoulders. These are commercially made balloons with professional all over print on them, that kind of thing, so not like cheap balloons that you can blow up yourself. It currently smells like a giant, brand new shower curtain. Literally every day as soon as I walk in the door it's instant nose run for me, and a snz or two more often than not. I sit at the desk in the lobby two days a week, so once again silent stifling skill activated. So, don't bring me flowers, bring me (industrial) balloons, apparently

On my way to the office this morning passed a car wash that had a digital sign that said "wash the pollen away!!"

Now, why would I want to do that?

A and B hanging out with a group of their friends, after having just gone out together, now back at someone's house eating a meal, playing some games, having fun~

the only problem is, the place they've just been really sets off B's allergies, which A knows, along with the fact B refuses to sneeze in front of people (whether for kink!reasons, or other ones)

glancing over at B, A can see how itchy they look, their hands keep touching their face, pinching or rubbing their nose, trying to sniffle as discreetly as possible

knowing they're too polite/shy to just get up and leave, A stands from where they were lounging, grabs B by the arm, and tosses some excuse over at the group, who for the most part doesn't even notice

dragging B into a bedroom/bathroom, A closes the door behind them, smiling fondly to themself as B immediately ducks down with a "nGt!- nXGt!- dXGt!-"

"let them out, love" A offers gently, grabbing up some tissues and handing them over, "you've gotta get it all done before we go back out there"

"thagk you-" B manages, with a relieved glance at A, before ducking into the tissues with a vocal, "ekt'chhh-oo!", starting to work their way through the allergy attack they'd been postponing for so long

with, of course, A offering blessings and rubbing their back through it all~

Found a rogue clip on my phone I never posted, so why not? This was mostly experimenting with stifles until the very end when things took....a turn. <spoiler alert: things get a little louder at the end> Please enjoy?

—until there's another stifle, a second following right on it's tail, and finally a vocal "eH'TSChh-oo!"

which is finally enough to get B to look up from whatever they're doing, and gives their full attention with a "bless you!"

and A replies with another thanks, making eye contact and nodding some silent approval, 'yeah I'm alright', as the comfortable silence settles once more

at least until the next interruption~

I feel all of this. I love being blessed (seriously, we're talking like top three favorite things in the world for me), but the mental block is bad bad. There is a very small handful of people I can openly snz around (single digits) and even then it's so. very. hard. I eternally wonder if I could easily (or more easily) drop the block if I were knowingly around someone else with the kink. Maybe someday in an alternate universe I can test that idea. 🤷‍♀️

does anyone’s mental block lift in front of people they’re sexually/romantically interested in? I really like being blessed, and I’ll find myself not only wanting to see a crush sneeze but also wanting them to bless me and comment on my sneezes.
