Person who runs this blog: Make announcement

Hello, everyone! I suppose by now it is obvious to everyone that this blog is and was on hiatus. And now, given the conclusion of Homestuck itself, I thought it was an appropriate moment to finish things up here too.

First of all, I should apologize. I realize that I haven’t been a very good captain of the ship, leaving this blog silent so suddenly and then not returning for over a year. That was my bad, and I should have made some time for it. But I had life to attend to, and as Homestuck says, being a kid and growing up is hard, right?

I first fell in love with the idea of Gamzee and John years ago, before there was even a shred of it in canon, just because I liked the idea of my favorite characters getting to know each other. And also, considering John’s endless positivity, it seemed like he might be the only character able to reach Gamzee through all of his darkness. Believe it or not, as much as I have moved on from Homestuck in some ways, I still consider Gamzee and John to be my fandom OTP.

Anyway, this blog will not be deleted! I’d like to keep it for archive purposes, and to serve as a hub of clownshipping for whoever should fall in love with this pairing next.

We will be: --Reblogging and posting new material over the next few days (there’s a lot of cool new stuff, hehe) in celebration of Homestuck’s conclusion! --After that, posts will slow down to permanent hiatus.

Look out for an occasional resurgence in the future, but at some point I’m sure we’ll make our last-ever post. What a strange feeling this is, making an announcement and shouting out to the universe knowing that this stage in our lives will all be part of our pasts soon, if we haven’t moved on from it already.

Whoever you are, wherever you go after this, whether you want to remember us or not, I only hope that you are able to look back on these years with a smile.
