(Sorry it's been a while since a big post馃樁)
So, after that Sally's Song analysis post, I thought I'd pull up another song that peaked my interest on Virgil's Spotify Playlist. "Thanks for the Memories" by Fall Out Boy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, yes, it is an Emo classic so it makes sense for him to have it. But, like I stated before, there's a reason it's on there. "Thanks for the memories" has had a lot of back and forth on what it's really about. However, if you really read the lyrics..it is obviously referencing sexual intimacy in a relationship that was either falling apart and had themselves one more day..or a relationship that has already ended but still gets together for sex.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With lines like "One Night and One more Time", and the bridge of "Get me out of my mind, get you out of those clothes, I'm a liner away from getting you into the mood" Clearly in reference to sexual intimacy. The line "He tastes like you only sweeter" is in reference to a line in the 2004 film "Closer" but it could be in relation to someone in the relationship finding someone new. The meaning behind saying the title phrase inline with the lyrics is sarcastic. It's basically saying "thanks for nothing" or "yeah it sucked but I'll never forget it" or "it was good up until the end". The line "Collecting Page Six Lovers" is in reference to how in magazines and news papers, page six is usually the gossip column for celebrity scandals.. sometimes if not most times couple scandals from breakups, cheating or sexual tension like being caught kissing by paparazzi(which was common in the 2000s and even today)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, in full, the song is about a failing(seemingly popular) relationship who had deep intimacy throughout the toxicity up to the end. Or the relationship still has casual sex or feelings for each other.
Now, how is this in connection to Virgil? Well, Thomas did say that some songs on each playlist are directed at other sides. Therefore, I am on firm believe that this song is directed at Janus from Virgil's POV. There's a few songs on his playlist that seem to be so, but this one is pretty big to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Think about it, They are the most scandalous relationship in the series. Full of mystery, tension, history, and clearly toxicity. It's been a hot topic ever since Janus appeared. So, the gossip column line fits. Janus is very promiscuous and flirtatious. He has quite the rizz(sorry lol). Snakes are symbols of temptation and seduction in some cultures, sometimes feminine sexuality and sometimes male with the phallic connections. Also, there's a lot of sexual undertones based in Janus' own playlist as explained here in a previous post. So, the sexual tension between them is there. Sure you could say it's directed at Remus with his dirty mind but do you honestly see Virgil screwing Remus? Like really? And we have yet to see how Virgil reacts to Orange but going off what we think of him so far, I don't think Virgil would be with him like that, especially since this song seems more bittersweet. It is possible it's Orange but it's slim. It only has to be Janus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In conclusion, I believe "Thanks for the memories" is one of the songs directed at Janus. And if that's truly the case, Virgil and Janus have f*cked. They are bitter exes. Sure, they could be intimate in other ways but the song's too on the nose with what it's about. Anxceit is possibly canon y'all.

I've never seen Lost before either but you could be onto something. In the beginning of Accepting Anxiety pt 2, it was a reference to Lost.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've always thought Virgil calls them "The Others" because the term "Dark Sides" is derogatory to him because he used to be one so he hates the phrasing. But, there could be something to this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean, in Moving On, Roman brought up Lost. I just thought it was referring to how they all felt lost about the whole situation of the break up and nostalgia.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But honestly, looking back, there could be something to this OP. Definitely something worth looking into.
Do y'all think the fact Virgil calls "The Dark Sides" the Others is a reference to Lost?

I always took Janus saying that to Virgil as "stop trying to be a "good" side, I know you're not that" Basically telling him to take off the mask and be honest with his true self. But Virgil wants to just move on from the past and do better. Both him and Remus were just berating him for his attempts at not being the "bad guy". They want him to be "himself" again.
So I take it as Janus has both of these opinions, but one is to ease Patton and one is to persuade and mess with Virgil. That or his opinions have just changed since his talk with Virgil then. Or maybe it's just a continuity error馃しno clue.
I really love this little detail about janus
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When he showed up in the embarrassing phases end card, he talked about his appreciation of halloween as a purely deceptive interest, how halloween is a time to disguise yourself as someone else and That's the reason he participates in it.
Tumblr media
Patton makes the same assumption when he talks with janus in the into the unknown cover video, saying that janus must only like the holiday for the element of disguise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This time however, janus is upset by the remark. He can't understand how patton sees That as all he is even though they have been spending more time around each other recently. Patton does correctly point out that janus keeps information about himself incredibly close to the chest, which janus cannot and does not deny, but this time he decides to open up and tell the truth.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He tells patton how his honest reason behind having a love for not just halloween but all holidays, is the chance to pretend that things are better off than they truly are, and how for once, it's not going to be seen as a bad thing. During the holidays, everyone falls fool to the folly, and noone is left feeling alone or worse off for it.
Tumblr media
This is what he can offer for thomas. Maybe not all of the time, but every now and then he can give thomas the chance to convince himself that everything is okay, give him something to hope for, to look forward to. And for the rest of the time, when he has to focus on the reality of his situation, janus will be there to make sure he looks after himself and takes care of his health.
I find it fascinating that he is so open and honest around patton despite these two having every reason to disagree, yet he still maintains this aloof and devious persona when around virgil, who arguably could have the most history with him.
It makes me excited to see what happens next between them.

Calling all Prinxiety Shippers, this analysis is for you!馃挏鉂わ笍
So, I have had my eyes set on Virgil's Spotify Playlist for a while now. And a few songs have caught my attention that I'd like to talk about.
Tumblr media
The one in particular that I will discuss here is "Sally's Song" covered by Amy Lee from Evanescence, originally by Catherine O-Hara. A classic song from the even more classic movie The Nightmare before Christmas. Now, it's understandable why Virgil would have this song on there. It's from one of his favorite movies, it's a designated emo staple with lines like "We can live like Jack and Sally if we want" in Blink-182's "I Miss You", and overall it's Tim Burton which he's shown interest in as well. But, I wonder why this song in particular. He could've picked "This is Halloween" or "Jack's Lament" but..he picks "Sally's Song"? This isn't the only time he's been affiliated with this song either. In the 2020 Holiday Show, Thomas covered it in reference to Virgil's celebration of the holidays.
It's been stated that the songs on each playlist are on there for a reason. Some songs on each are directed specifically at another Side. I think I know who's being directed at here from Virgil's POV. Think about it, Sally is very similar to that of Virgil. Both are restless and want freedom despite the risks, they are both caution and concerned for others especially those they love, and just their overall aesthetics aline with a stitch work-ragdoll like appearance. The song in question is about Sally showing her concern for Jack. It briefly touches on her need for freedom and inclusion, but it's mostly about her love and consideration for Jack. Hell, she sang it right after Jack took off on his Christmas exploits that she knew would fail and tried to warn him. She thinks the love is one-sided, she gives up in believing it'll happen. However, it was reprised in the end with both of them admitting their love for each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who is Jack in this situation? You could say Jack is a bit like Virgil in wanting to move away from scaring people all the time..but Jack's demeanor and personality isn't very Virgil like. He's ambitious, overly I might add. He's desperate, he's dedicated, he suffered an identity crisis, he's associated with royal standing as the Pumpkin King, and his voice is rather regal. Who does that sound like to you? Roman.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sally's concern for Jack's actions failing or getting him hurt ties in with Virgil's behavior as anxiety. One major thing is concern for Roman being too forceful in his desperation for a boyfriend for Thomas could've got him rejected or hurt. This was shown in FWSA..the same episode where a sticker of Jack and Sally peaked both of their interest. They both have shown a love for this movie, so much so that Roman wanted Virgil's posters of it back in Accepting Anxiety part 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sure, you could say that this could be directed at Nico but Virgil's playlist was debut in April of 2020, FWSA wasn't released until October. Sure, it could have been foreshadowing but I highly doubt it since the song itself shows that the person the narrator wanted in question, was already known to them and their concern for them was justified. You could say it's directed at Thomas, but this song is too romantic in its undertones to be that, even if it said "friend" in the lyrics...Roman called Virgil "Friendo" (so did Janus as Patton but that's besides the point). With lines like "What will become of my dear friend, where will his actions lead us then" could be reference to how Roman's overambitious behavior and reckless actions could be a problem. Stating a question Virgil was asked back in 2018 at live Vidcon QnA, Virgil did say he liked Roman's ambition..but wasn't sure he wanted that in his life. Maybe he's willing to take the chance now?
So, it's fair to say that "Sally's Song" is directed at Roman. They both are carbon copies of the characters, they both love the film, and the overall hints of this song and film in regards to them are too obvious to miss. 鉂わ笍馃挏
Seems like Virgil wants to live like Jack and Sally with Roman. 馃挏鉂わ笍
P.S: we so need an official Virgil cover of Sally's Song..like come on 馃榿

I mean, he was a bit embarrassed when Roman mentioned he was cold blooded. There was also a moment in a past Livestream where someone asks him if he shed and he got pretty defensive over it, as if it was uncomfortable. He gives vibes of someone who wants to ignore their instincts. Like, i don't think he full on hates his snake DNA and anatomy, just struggles to maintain and control it. So, kinda like how Virgil struggles with trying to be better and separate from the Darks. He wants to suppress whatever abilities or powers he gets from that, maybe thinking they're dangerous. They both reject a part of themselves that is important to accept. They don't have to let it control them and consume their entire personality, just embrace what makes them unique. Like Remus, he doesn't care what they think, he just does what he wants. He's got not much to prove or want. He embraces his insanity.
There was a theory a few years back about Janus picking at his scales at an attempt to remove them. It was pitched that that was one of the reasons he wore gloves, to stop himself. It was a twisted theory but it added a lot of angst. I doubt that's the case however.
do you think janus wanted to be part snake. do you think that only happened because of thomas's perception of lying. do you think he was horrified of himself. do you think he had to learn to accept it. do you think it still terrifies him. or do you think hes reclaimed it. if he owns his identity as a snake independent of the reason he was made into one in the first place. youre not stuck with an evil snake boy youre just stuck with a snake boy

So wait, is Quil not aware of the fourth wall breaks for them being aware it's a series? Is that retconned? Are the sides no longer aware? Is it like a reality show to them..like they're aware of cameras but minimally scripted and all real?(seemed like that from the Anniversary Vid)
Am I reading too much into a blooper, probably.
Also Roman..It wasn't just Logan, Patton also called himself daddy as well called you and Logan it in LNTAO, get your facts straight. I know that's impossible for you but try lol

CW//Suggestive Content?
I don't think we realize just how dirty Janus' Spotify Playlist is. We've overlooked it so much. In this little analysis post, I wanna point out the handful of songs that show the sluttiness behind the Snake-Man because damn this playlist shows he can't keep it in his pants. You thought Remus is dirty..you haven't seen Janus...
Tumblr media
First is "I put a spell on you" By Nina Simone. This song is believed to be about the poisonous and hypnotic throws of love. The dedication and devotion of love. Specifically a jealous love. Of wanting someone who doesn't want you. I'm not exactly sure who this could be directed to. It could be directed at Roman but I think there's another song that hints to that. Could be Virgil but again, there's another song that could be that as well. Overall a sexy song regardless, come on, it has the word Daddy in it ffs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Second is "Evil Night Together" by Jill Tracy. This song is believed to be about seduction in the darkness of life. The art of manipulation through allure and enticement. Feeling of intimacy beyond ordinary and the unknowns of seduction. Embracing darker parts of yourself instead of holding back. This song to me seems directed at Roman and what Janus did during SvS. Enticing him with the happiness of the callback and the positive praise he's always wanted. Keeping Roman on a leash of temptation for the betterment and self-desire of Thomas achieving his goals and dreams. With lines like "Who's gonna make you a hero?" It only just further shows that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Third is "Cabaret: Don't Tell Mama" from Cabaret, which features Liza Minnelli. This song is about a young women who has an active nightlife working as a nightclub erotic dancer and performer. She doesn't want her conservative mother finding out about her exploits so she pleads for no one to snitch. It's interesting here because Liza Minnelli is in this and Roman wanted Liza as a wedding performer..and Liza wears an outfit very similar to something Janus would wear...I think you see what I'm going for here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fourth is "You're a Cad" by The Bird and the Bee. This song is believed to be about a woman falling for a man, knowing he has a bad reputation. She knows this man wants to be better but she doesn't see a point in him doing so since it's never enough. Even hinting that she could be worse than him, making them perfect for one another and partners in their chaos. She taunts and teases him "Tug at your line" , "Wait by the phone", "You're reckless with my heart" all lines alluding to the fact of attraction. She could and would waste her life on someone she knows is bad for her, she doesn't care. This song is 100% directed at Virgil. With lines like "So now you want the whole world to notice that you've come around, now you expect we'll see how you're really so much better now" and "What's the point pretending that you could be a better man? Just give in since you always end up right back where you began" all hint to Janus being aware of Virgil's departure from the Dark Sides and his attempts to be better and change but he knows Virgil will always fail. Virgil in response with "Ignorance" on his own playlist shows that he thinks Janus is blind to his change. But yeah, very "loving" song towards Virge dontcha think?
Tumblr media
And fifth and finally is "Criminal" by Fiona Apple. This song is believed to be about a woman who used her sexuality to exploit and manipulate a man. She feels regret for doing so even if it's what she had to do. This song is basically the musical equivalent of saying "I've been a naughty boy, punish me". Another song seemingly directed Roman. Showing Janus does feel bad for doing what he did to Roman despite it being for the greater good. He knew Roman was sensitive and insecure but that's how he knew to get to him for a betterment. Yes, he knew it was shitty but it had to be done. It also hints to still lingering feelings. Like "oh I'm so bad to you, a villain you say, well why don't you punish me since you like that" You could say it's also directed at Patton with a line like "I've been careless with a delicate man" but that could be Roman or Patton honestly.
Tumblr media
So with all of that said, it seems Janus is quite the whore. I mean 2 songs directed Roman in a provocative manner. And 1 song directed Virgil. And just the overall seduction and temptation of these songs shows his slutty nature. Snakes are even common symbols for sexuality. This snake man knows how to play his deck and dick right...or dicks if you believe that lol

Since Thomas is now going to be doing more Asides based content for simplicity sake in between Season Finale prep..I think it's about time for another QnA.
I mean it's been nearly 7 years since then. Surely some responses to questions have changed. And now that Janus and Remus would be present, I think it would be even more interesting. Sure, we ask them questions here and there on Livestreams but who's to say all of those are canon responses unless stated. Having all of them present for an official QnA reboot would be pretty fun to flesh them out a bit more and update them ya know?
I get it, it would be a bit of a harder project with picking the best questions out of the hundreds of submissions that would make sense to confirm in canon. However, it seems Thomas has a handle on all of them now and like I said, it would be a great refresher and catch up to present day growth. I mean come on, I remember when it was still called "My Personality QnA", that's how old it is and how old I am in Fander years lol.
Tumblr media
What do ya say guys? We're due for an update! If you want to boost this to Thomas, go ahead! Reblogs, tag, both etc!

Roman would either be the macho man and be like "I'm not injured! I can walk it off like the brave prince I am!" Or be a whiny child and be like "Daaad, I scraped my kneeeee!"
Remus would just show it off and make them all see it's grotesque glory
Patton would probably hide it to avoid worrying the others or making them emotional.
Logan is less likely to hide it but more likely to just deal with it on his own. Like he'd patch himself up and the others will find out about it in passing. If it's a more intense injury then maybe he would request help.
Janus would be similar to Roman and lie. He be like "I'm fine, I'm totally not bleeding out right now" but in turn that lie is clearly a plea for help.
Virgil to me makes the most sense to hide it. He'd be similar to Logan and try to handle it on his own but would be similar to Patton in not wanting to alert the others and get all their attention cuz it could overwhelm him. If it is a more intense injury, he would panic and think about telling them but he wouldn't be too pleased in having to do so.
So if I had to pick, I'd say Virgil but Patton is a close second. Roman is like a third likely choice.

A thing I've noticed about Remus recently is how he's had this softer side to him but it's subtle.
I mean, going back to DWIT, towards the end where Virgil was opening up to Remus about how he thought of him as nothing but a terrible chaos demon but realized he was just doing his job and he's not as bad as he once thought (so basically what Virgil went through). You can see how soft Remus's expression got. How soft his little giggle was with the nickname. You can see Virgil trying to even hold back a soft smile. Remus even saying "Good seeing you again Virgil, it was just like old times". Showing Remus and Virgil must've been close or at least to him they were close.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then in Perfect Gift, Remus gave Virgil a handmade gift. A handmade gift alone is enough of a show of affection. Putting your heart into a gift for someone, even if it was gross. But, that's how Remus shows his love. Kind of like if a child gave you a mudpie. Hell, the moment even indicated that Virgil is aware of what Remus called his shower drain which I am so curious as to how he does know that. But, overall, this was a sweet moment for Remus. Two moments of heartfelt expression.. specifically for Virgil.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, I find it sad that when Roman brought up who he had for the gift exchange, Remus thought immediately it was going to be him but it wasn't. What's sad is that Remus expected a gift from Roman out of some level of brotherly love but...He didn't get that. Like...Ouch. Sure, it might not be that way but it's still sad in context.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So,yeah, just something I thought was neat about Remus. Not too ooc sappy, but just the subtle sweetness and angst.

So, I was rewatching Perfect Gift again for like the 100th time and I just make a realization.
It's about the newspaper that Logan was given. He was so quick to assume it was just a cheap newspaper and nothing else to it. That's pretty depressing when you think that he's not seeing things in a deeper perspective anymore. It's as if he doesn't see a point to do so anymore.
Tumblr media
It was sorta like how in the 5 year Anniversary vid, when Thomas asked "What do you think is next for us?" And Logan gave up and said "You tell me". He doesn't see the point in putting his two cent in anymore and starting to think that the others don't see him more than just a boring, worthless, out of date person that's just a stereotypical nerd.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, when he starts actually looking deeper into the newspaper, he sees something different, something unexpected. A well thought out puzzle for him specifically. Showing that the others, Virgil specifically, knows Logan is more than boring. He like reading, yes. He likes puzzles, yes. Making it a game full of mystery and fun? You wouldn't think Logan would be into that but he is. It proves there is more to Logan. A happier side to him that he's repressed for means of being taken seriously.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The newspaper is a representation of Logan. On the outside, he's inconspicuous. He's normal. He's put together. You wouldn't think much of him or give him a second thought or glance. But, once you look deeper and actually start reading into him, you see a whole new, different person. Someone happier. Someone interesting. Someone hurt. Someone frustrated. Someone... that's more than meets the eye.

Dear...everyone who's been confused about Patton and Virgil's animosity...
According to Joan back in a past YouTube Membership live stream, They confirmed that something happened with Virgil and Patton between the likes of "Dealing with Intrusive Thoughts" and "Are There Healthy Distractions". That explains why Virgil was so snappy at him during their viewing of Frozen. We don't exactly know yet what that "something" was, but I'm only assuming some kind of argument or discourse. I mean, It was at the time where Patton was being strict on Thomas which caused moral panic and when Virgil wanted some boundaries because of Patton's coddling, babying nature towards him. Also, Patton being with Janus more as of recent was/is just the cherry on top of all this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, I know some of y'all are saying "oh well Joan's not really a part of the story writing anymore so it's not canon" Well, Joan has recently with Thomas confirmed that Healthy Distractions, FWSA and WTIT are all canonical episodes because they were so plot heavy. Also, a lot a fanders have been confused as to why Virgil is so cross with Patton and why his demeanor changed towards him so quickly in Healthy Distractions, so leaving it unanswered wouldn't be a good move. Plus, up to WTIT which was the last episode Joan was there to write, Virgil still had issues with Patton as seen in the endcard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the Plushie Asides if you count that, Logan was genuinely shocked by how Virgil was even siding with Patton at that moment..showing and hinting that Logan must be aware of what happened..whether he was there as a mediator, a witness or overheard somethings. That episode was released in 2022 after Joan left. So, Thomas has kept up this plot line seemingly(He even confirmed Joan left notes on certain plot points going forward).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm just hoping we see this off screen moment mentioned or flashbacked to. I really wanna know what happened. I might go into further detail about their animosity at some point but I'm not sure when so take this brief summary for now.

SEASON FINALE AND SONG PREDICTIONS
So with Thomas dropping the fact that there will be 6 SONGS in the Season Finale, I'm going to talk about what songs could be possible and/or what I'd(and what I assume others) hope for.
First talking point is: how many times has each side actually sang in the series? Well, if you count actually singing instead of "speak-singing", Virgil has sang 2 times with "New Year's Lies" and "Incomplete". Logan has sang 1 time and that was during the "Crofter's Musical"(if you don't count the brief lines he sang in "12 Days"). Patton has sang a total of 2 times, once in "12 Days of Christmas" and once during "Incomplete". Roman's sang the most out of the main four, 3 total times with "Incomplete", "Crofter's Musical", and "12 days". However, if we are counting how many songs they played a significant part in...Virgil has had 3 with "New Year's Lies", "12 Days" and "Incomplete". Logan has had 4 with "Crofter's Musical", "Incomplete", "Rap Battle" and "12 Days". Patton has had 3 with "12 Days", "Rhythm Redux" and "Incomplete". Roman has had 5 with "Incomplete", "Rap Battle", "12 Days", "Crofter's Musical" and "Rhythm Redux".
So in simple terms: Virgil sang 2 times, featured in 3 songs. Logan sang 1 time, featured in 4 songs. Patton sang 2 times, featured in 3 songs. Roman sang 3 times, featured in 5 songs.
So Roman has sang the most and has been featured the most. Logan sang once. That's just out of the main 4. Patton and Virgil are basically tied.
Remus has only one main song with "Forbidden Fruit". But he's so far the only Side who's had a full song dedicated to him. Janus never had a song in the canonical series. Yes, he did sing "Into The Unknown", however that is a cover, not an original song. He was featured in Remus's song but it more or less was a flashback scene and sang from Remus's perspective so it really doesn't count. And since Orange will be hopefully making an appearance, it's safe to say he might make a musical debut.
So, what could this all mean? Well, seeing as there will be 6 songs, 6 possibilities. But here's my hope:
1: a Janus centric song. He is the only side(minus Orange) without any official, original, canonical song. So, it only goes to show that maybe he will get his own. It would be a great way to flesh out his character. Show an emotional side, show a devious side, show a sensual side... anything about him. It would be interesting to see a burlesque like show from him or like a jazzy slow cafe swing song. Hell, we could get a reprise or revision of "New Year's Lies" or some level of a reference to it.
2: A duet of anything kind. It would be very cool to see some duos that have been at odds lately having a dueling duet. Janus and Roman, Virgil and Janus, Virgil and Patton, Logan and Roman, or Logan and Remus. Or maybe get a villain duet with Janus and Remus like a Partners in Crime kind of thing. Or maybe a duet with recently newly formed friendships like with Roman and Virgil or Logan and Virgil. I think any of this would be fun.
3: a Logan centric song. Logan has sang the least out of the main 4 and has a lot of pent up words he so desperately wants to force out, so what better way to do it than with a ballad or an aggressive tantrum-like rage song. Something that shows his true deep seeded emotions and maybe shows the corruption from Orange's influence. It could be a song from Logan in private or could be one directed at everyone outwardly. Maybe he could end up singing it under Orange's influence.
4: An Orange Side villain song. Now yes, a corrupted Logan song would technically count but it would be from Logan's perspective and issues. An Orange centric song would introduce him, his motives, his behaviors, his vibe etc. It would be perfect. If Remus can get a debut song, why can't Orange? Or, imagine a confrontational song with Logan vs Orange.
5: a Roman centric song. Roman has been having clear issues throughout the season, if not series as a whole. Insecurities with himself, fragile and broken ego, loneliness, jealousy and animosity with almost everyone. He's been on the brink of snapping and breaking down just as much as Logan has been lately. So, it's safe to say that a song from him is possible. An emotional ballad? And Villain song? And mix of both? Who knows. He has sung the most and has been featured the most so I don't think he really deserves another song honestly but then again, this would be from his perspective completely and not mixed in with everyone elses' or a duet.
6: a Virgil centric song. Now yes, I don't really see a huge possibility of this but it would be interesting to hear from Virgil's perspective on everything under the quise of a song. His dark side connection and reveal, his feelings on his neutral side balance, and his relationship with everyone. It would be a rather cool and emotional moment for him. Like I said before also, would be nice to see a duet with him and either a side he's fond of or he has animosity with. But if it's a full song on him alone, all that could be mentioned entirely.
7(bonus?): a Patton centric song. Similar to Virgil's. An emotional ballad on his recent struggles. Moving On, new relationship for Thomas with Nico, his relationship with the other Sides, his depression, his strictness/religious trauma. It would be a very strong song in my opinion. But it would be neat to see a duet too of him either with Virgil or Janus.
Now, will all these happen? Probably not but it's safe to say that the ones that are of most likelihood are a Janus centric song, an Orange centric song, a Logan centric song and maybe a Roman centric song. It's also likely that we might get two songs in one part. So say: 2 songs in the 1st part, 1 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd and 2 in the 4th. I hope that whatever songs we get are bangers and becomes huge staples in the fandom just as much as the others.
What do you guys think??

Well, I remember seeing on the Patreon that Janus is implied to be the host of, there is art on the "About" and "FAQ" page where it does imply he can unhinge his jaw. Sure it's art but it is possible canon.

Also was that subtle confirmation that he can unhinge his jaw or just a joke bc I'd like to know?? I'm literally just curious, that would look HORRIFYING on a human face and I love it lol

So...I loved the new Asides short. A lot to love actually. But, Now that it is confirmed that Janus is cold blooded...this just makes you realize the hell he goes through with that.
If you're not aware, cold blooded means that one can not regulate their body temperature properly or can't produce their own body heat. So, that means Janus can't.
Reptiles must be kept between 75-80 degrees fahrenheit to be content to the highest 90-92. Anything higher than 92 is too hot. When a snake gets hot, it can get heat stroke like us, however in severe cases, it can cause them to seize and unintentionally kill themselves in the process. Florida is notorious for hot and humid climates, warm and humid is ideal for a snake but anything too heated is deadly.
On the flip side, if a snake gets too cold, below 70 degrees, it will start to enter what is called "Brumation" which is kinda like hibernation but different. During Brumation, a reptile's(or amphibian or fish) body systems will start to slow down resulting in slow moments and lethargy. They do not eat, only drink, seeing as their digestive system will slow or shut down completely. Snakes specifically choose to burrow underground or find confined spaces for any warmth they can find. If it drops below freezing, so 32 or lower, this can cause them to freeze to death. But Brumation is practically like living death, slowing down so much that not all reptiles make it out alive. However, the ones that do, have the benefit of higher fertility, better breeding success and better egg clutches....so I'm guessing Janus would be very hungry and horny after winter XD.
However, cold weather is one of the leading causes of respiratory infection in reptiles. Snakes are known for getting these. Symptoms can include nasal discharge, mouth breathing, wheezing or gargled breath, drooling or frothing at the mouth, vomiting or regurgitation, coughing, sneezing etc. If the drool or froth is not cleaned from the snake's mouth in time, it will cause it to rot off. So, if Janus got COVID, he would be screwed.
So, looking at Roman's gift, it's pretty thoughtful in the sense of "Here so you don't freeze to death, I'm not that sadistic" And Janus was kinda taken back. Like, he is aware of what he goes through and is shocked that Roman even cared to do that bit of research for the gift to get.

He was so taken back that he even felt sorry for being a bit too outlandish even if he was drunk. Which, with him saying he was having an "unhinged jaw"(which further shows he can do that), it means he's more truthful when he's under the influence. So, that means that this "cold blooded" admittance is true. Is Janus ashamed of this to the point he looks upset? Or is it genuine shock from Roman's gift coming from a thoughtful place of consideration?(even if Roman said he did it begrudgingly).
In a past post, I said that Janus could have a lot of interesting and compelling things about his genetic differences that would make for pretty neat moments. I'm glad we're getting more information about the "snake" behind the "snake man" and what he really deals with being this way. But, I feel sorry for him that he has to deal with it on a routine basic. It must be tough but he is self care so, he hopefully does his best. There's so much more yet to be confirmed about him that I hope one day will in some way but even if not, it's still a cool and intriguing thing of how a snake-human hybrid would function.
But so far, it's confirmed he's cold blooded, he sheds and he hisses with drawn out S's. (It was confirmed he sheds in a past Livestream, but he was very embarrassed by it).
Tumblr media
Now...onto that alcohol addiction. Snakes can't consume ethanol, it actually burns their mouths and throats. It's so effective against them that it helped in relinquishing them from bites. They also don't like the smell. Like with us humans, snakes can contract liver damage from alcohol. In ancient belief however, snakes drowned in wine and left to ferment in it was beneficial to health or was believed to be. But, rubbing alcohol is deadly toxic to snakes, so much so it can dry them out, penetrating deep beneath the scales. Snakes can get accidentally drunk from eating fermented berries in the wild so, Janus's consumption of wine makes sense, however it's hurtful to him potentially. Alcohol can also be an appetite suppressor which if he drinks it routinely, no wonder we have only seen him eat cake and half a sandwich, which is not healthy enough for him. If his main consumption is wine, that is risk of overdose and drunkorexia. I know snakes can go without eating for a while but still. But, in conclusion, Janus is an unhealthy alcoholic. As much as it's funny seeing him drunk, it's shocking in the fact that he's actively hurting himself in the process if that's the case.
Anyway, I can go on and on about snakes all day but that's a future thing. Thanks to Janus, I know so much possibly useless snake information lol.
