I want to dl cm episodes to make some gifs/vids, do you think it's worth it to download season 1 to season 7 in 1080p when it was originally filmed in 720p? I remember season 8 being the first one that was filmed and aired in 1080p.

I've never downloaded cm before—I usually screen record when I gif—so my answer might not be very helpful. But yes, if it were up to me, I would have downloaded in 1080p if possible. Because when making gifs, resizing 1080p footage is way more better than resizing 720p.

Your gifs are so pretty. How do you make them look so good? Mine are always so grainy, doesn't matter if the episode is in 720p or 1080p, they always look bad. What software do you use?

Thank you so much! There's nothing special about my process, really. My gif quality depends on the footage, just like everyone else.

I'm currently using Adobe Photoshop 2025. If your gifs get too grainy, try sharpening them several times with small values instead and removing noise using Camera Raw or Topaz. I usually prefer Camera Raw since it's lighter, but if I need a more detailed touch, I go for the latter. And make sure to crop and resize first!!!
