9-to-5!AU: hangman is a consultant, rooster is an architect. they work in the same office building and keep on meeting at the weirdest times because of their work and develop a weird intimacy between meetings and late nights. everyone thinks they're dating except them.

law school!AU: pretty self explanatory. they are annoyingly obnoxious rivals working for the same internship spot. everyone hates them. they may or may not have kissed during their first year and have spent the time after that hating each other.

don't even know how to call this!AU: rooster moves to Texas to get away from his past and finish is novel his agent is very worried will never see the light of day. hangman is the manager of the bar where he spends most of his days trying to write something. they eventually fuck and Bradley writes 100 pages on the spot.

hospital!AU: nothing to say about this. two surgeons working different fields. I imagine a lot of hurt/comfort and on-call room sex.

can you tell by this that I have officially lost my mind?

Nearly experiencing collective death and desperation definitely brings a group of people together. Years of training, yes, those as well; dogfight football sure does the trick, and strict military camaraderie helps strengthen bonds that sometimes survive distant deployments and years of separation. But preparing (and then carrying to term) what is presented as a suicide mission, being convinced many times that someone might not get home, and finally coming out of it all together tastes like a totally different thing.

today marks the GLORIOUS DAY THE ROOSTER/HANGMAN TAG HAS BEEN MARKED COMMON BY AO3 and I'm losing my mind!!!!!!!!!
