Okay I actually worked at a Little Caesars, and I can tell you for a fact that Pizza isn't actually toast since only one side is brown. Toasting it requires that both sides be brown. So a burnt pizza is toast, but not a normal one. This is by no means in character, I just wanted to say that because I find it interesting.

♕ - What was this… creeping precipice? In fact their collected composure is so unnaturally tethered that any damage or emotion, anything felt impossible to discern. That only causes Sora to tensely bite at his lip while keeping his stance laxed, opened, prepared.

Even while the abyssal frost of Sephiroth viewpoints crawled in like a virus.

“W.. What do you mean!? Th-” A disturbing shudder rolled up his spine from the mere way he said that!

Deconstructed sandwich who in their right mind..?!

“T- No!” Sora’s voice boomed while glaring dagger towards the other. He remains a steadied light through the growing waves of darkness that attempt to radiate it’s malice throughout their battlefield.

“You monster.. Are you saying the beginning doesn’t even exist?! It’s not a Nobody! From the dawn of man people had a meal set at the beginning hours..!” So this went beyond cereal?!

Are they saying that dinner is the primordial soup from which all other options spring? Such a sickening thought only made doubt and anger twist within his gut, only widening that gap that he intends to hang onto.

“You don’t know a single thing about connections, don’t you?” His voice scoffs before a single step is taken forward.

“Combination foods coming together to forge a new creation! I can’t let you think that their connections don’t matter! It’s only through the efforts of both can that breakfast meal become something entirely new!”

“And all the same, two things can be separate, their own deal while coming together for the bigger! Nothing so cold and welcoming like Cereal could ever be doomed into becoming soup!”

“Both the sweet wheat and milk come together.. To make each other strong!”

Hm... Not the reaction he was expecting. He was half expecting the creeping despair to at least take root.

          “Wait. There’s more. Eggs, are merely unborn chickens, whose meat are also used for other non-breakfast meals.”

Another blow.

          “I do not partake in breakfast. I save my hunger for more filling meals. And look how I turned out.”

He gives a dark chuckle. Perhaps not the greatest example. But, when you are a SOLDIER, breakfast time often consisted of cold, hard bread and water. Perhaps if you were lucky, you could get some beef jerky. At least, that was how it was when he first enlisted. 

          “And now, I will move on to other meals. A hot dog, is merely an open ended sandwich. Pizza is just a giant piece of toast with ingredients scattered on top, and burritos are closed sandwiches.”

And there it is, a blow, easily strong enough to strike at one’s own soul... Or perhaps Heart in Sora’s case? His tone is entirely uncaring throughout this entire statements.

Did he truly attempt to listen? One could argue that until they’re black and blue in the face, however, a foolhardy courage is required to step upon such a plateau.

To be faced with such an incredible enemy that intends to entice despair. Even now, such venomous words were attempting to burrow deal, that graceful mercilessness of a gaze being met with a passionate fire. His heart holds steady, his fist remains clenched!

“To do that, to try stealing what it means to be cereal! There’s no fundamentals in a meal becoming an existence all of it’s own!”

“You haven’t even considered all the bright souls coming up, bonding with cereal to make it through their day!”

“And you wanna just let it fall into the infinite pool known as soup!? I’m not falling for such a game, Sephiroth! What’s working me up is that you can’t see cereal for what it truly is!”

“Cereal! The double helix formation of sweetened wheat and milk becoming one! It’d never fall into being soup!”

Well, it was time to throw more fuel into the flame.

          “And what of those who each biscuits and sausage in the morning, hm? They are eating a deconstructed sandwich. Bread and meat.”

Another thing that he said that would infuriate some people. And he knew that it was, the words are trying to bring the despair of breakfast turning into not breakfast to the young man before him.

          “Is breakfast truly breakfast, or is it just ripped off from other, more important meals in the day? Cereal being soup, which is a dinner food, and Sausages and bread being unfinished sandwiches, which are a lunch item.”

A dark chuckle rings out. He’s laying it on pretty hard, no room for breaks for the poor boy. But then again, his aim was to leave the seed of despair in Sora. Perhaps this would be enough to plant that seed. And if not... he could probably continue. After all, there were other correlations that he could make. How sinister his voice seems too, when talking about this.

          “Oh really? Then tell me. Am I wrong in saying that Cereal in Milk is not a form of soup? It is fundamentally the same thing. A solid food, inside of a liquid one. That is the very definition of a soup.” Ah, the first person gullible enough to fall prey to such an easy bait. And, it was that key-wielding boy that he’d last met in Hollow Bastion. Or perhaps he should now refer to it as Radiant Garden? Well, the details weren’t important. Cold gaze stares into the boy.

          “Hm. I can sleep just fine. No issues on my end.”

A lie, but the reason is not because of the discourse on the subject at hand. It seems he has no intent to take back his statement.

          “What has you so worked up, boy? Cereal is soup.”

Sephiroth is definitely the kind of guy who starts the ‘Cereal is Soup’ debate, simply because he loves the discourse that it seems to create.
