Hey Stardew friends! 🍄🌿🌱 I hope no one minds me sneaking in here. I'm new to Tumblr but I wanted to show off something I made! It took me over 3 months, but I made a whole theme pack that can be used to decorate either your phone or your desktop! ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ It has both day and night wallpapers (both with and without organizers!), custom cursors, and 250 icons! I drew 35 villagers (I plan to update the pack in the future with a few more!), various crops, foraged items, books, fish, treasures from the mines, farm animals, junimos, and a bunch of useful utility icons that match the general Stardew vibe! It would mean the world if anyone wanted to check it out!

Hello humans of Tumblr! I come before you with my paltry art offerings, the creative fruits of my metaphorical loins, and beseech thee to look upon mine humble assortment with favor and ... well... social engagement I guess. I've never tried to have a social account for my art before, it's always been a fairly private endeavor of mine, but I've finally gotten up the nerve to try having some sort of public presence as an ✨artiste✨. So here is a sample of my art! (And to be clear, it is my art, it is not and never will be AI generated).

When I was probably no older than 4 years old, we lived on a small plot of land in the country, and in our backyard was a single tree just big enough to support the climbing adventures of three kids under the age of 9. It was our fort, our castle, and whatever else we wanted it to be. One day a thunderstorm rolled through, and the high winds ripped at the tree and tore it in two. Two-thirds of it was still standing, but a large section of branches and the trunk that supported them split and fell to the ground. It was a hazard, of course, so the next day my dad got out the chainsaw to cut the broken portion away. I remember the moment I heard the saw start, my tiny brain somehow immediately understood what was happening and I started crying, screaming, throwing up running to the back door, an inconsolable, wailing disaster. My mother, naturally, responded with ???? HUH???? She swooped over to me, explaining I can't go outside until dad had finished with the saw, and I screamed "I DIDN'T GET TO SAY GOODBYE!" Thankfully, I had an indulgent mother, so she got my dad to stop the saw and they let me outside. I don't know why but I so clearly remember it - crawling all over the tree, walking along the trunk like a balance beam, and also the abundance of ladybugs that were crawling on it for some reason. I guess at some point I was satisfied and went back inside, because the fallen portion of the tree was removed. It was harder to climb after that and no longer strong enough to support all three of us, so it went into early retirement as a play structure. But it's nice to think that tree is still out there, maybe remembering the tiny child who grieved for its lost pieces.

the trees you grew up with have not forgotten you. their branches still whisper your name in the breeze and their roots remember the paths your feet once traced through their shade.
