Follow the link and read probably the most important words you’ll read all year. That night we were there for our bands and our bands were there for us because music is what unites us and what we believe in and what makes us invinsible in the face of any threat. Everything else is covered under the link above and I will never find better, stronger, more real and more true words to describe what I felt then as a human being. I will always be grateful to VANT and amazing audience at The Kentish Town Forum for giving me hope and strength when it was so easy to give up and fall for fear and hate.

NARCS ARE MAD AS HELL & THEY’RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE!

Here’s a little piece they wrote recently to explain their latest release ‘Blue Bags’ & their upcoming album…

A while ago we all started wondering how things got so shit. Then it got shitter, then shitter still. “Has it always been this shit?” we wondered. The answer is yes, in fact it’s a big shitty circle, sort of like if God had a psychotic episode, jammed a pointy stick into his own cosmic turd and mixed it into the pot marked “the human race” then painted a fucking massive circle, while singing Love Shack, bollock naked. But there are groups for whom it’s never been shit. The people who make it shit for literally thousands/millions of others purely for the benefit of themselves and a small group of their pals. They make this super easy for themselves by making ignorance fashionable and repeating lies until those doused in ignorance are too blinded by it, too dedicated to staying inside their sheep pen, that they stop being capable of stepping out of the pen and start believing the lies about the scary world outside it. Then, they make the pen smaller and say it’s the fault of those people in the pen with blue eyes. So, unable to see outside the pen, the others kill most of them. This makes it easier to make the pen smaller still, and they make sure the killers are heroes and the dead are villains. Then they say the pen is going to have to get smaller because things have been too lavish inside the pen and it’s just not going to work, so everyone is going to have to squeeze up. So the pen gets smaller, people squeeze together and start stepping on each other’s toes. “Have you ever noticed how the people with red hair have sharper heels?!” shouts an authoritative voice, so almost all the red haired people are destroyed. One big fucked up circle. But what can we do? We’re stuck, aren’t we? Here in our little pen. The only way out is if everyone inside decides that outside is worth sacrificing for. Blue Bags is a taste of our new album. We’re sick to the back teeth but, having been penned in, we’re left a little toothless. This album is our only outlet and it will sound like it. The biggest downfall of punk music is when it became a sound. It should never be a sound. Punk back in the day, a lot of bands sounded different but had the same aesthetic. We’re open to be trying different styles.
