I used this scene from Spirited Away as my base for this drawing. The main thought behind it was that it is has never been difficult to respectfully use a media as inspiration/reference.

this is another artfight revenge, this time against @artsandwalnuts and their wondrous oc Tae'hice!

I started with the character this time around, completely clueless on what they could sit on until I had fully sketched their pose and outfit, which also meant that I wasn't just quitting and starting over at that point.

all the ideas that came to me were either incredibly hard to execute in that sideways perspective or didn't really fit the setting Tae lived in at all, so I meandered over what to do for a couple of days.

but then I asked myself: what's the most medieval thing you can think of? and the answer was taverns and markets! and as I looked it up on pinterest one of the first things that caught my eye was barrels. so barrels it was!

their left hand also needed somewhere to be, so I slapped some vases on there as well. and voilà, there it is! I'm also really happy with how the shading turned out for this one. just overall a lot of fun to work on. thank you so much JennaCasseroli! :D

It’s officially the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere ☀️ It’s been a really cold June so far, but from past experience, I know it can suddenly turn blazing hot. And then the only thing left to do is go swimming in some cool water! As much as I dislike the heat, there’s truly nothing like swimming in the summer 💙
