Update!

Hey guys, what's up? Allee here with another update. We're a few weeks away from the big day, and have only gotten four people to reserve tickets. I know I sound like a broken record, but we need to know how many people are coming so that we can have enough food for everyone. So far, it sounds like we only need a package of hamburgers and hot dogs with the numbers we have. We want to make sure that we have everything set up so that we can have an amazing time again this year. We still have some volunteer spots open if anyone is interested and I try to check the Facebook and Tumblr page daily in case anyone has any questions. Can't wait to see you all again soon! ~ Allee

Small Update

Hey guys, Allee here! I just checked the Official Hetalia Day page (I've been busy with school) and saw that we're on the list! Just as a reminder cause not many people have done it: Please remember to sign up on Eventbrite or on the event page itself so that we can keep track of who's able to go. We still have volunteer spots available if anyone is willing to help out, just contact us through the Facebook or Tumblr page and we'll get you all the info you need. Hetalia Day Update

Hey guys! Sorry for taking so long to post updates, college/work (For the cooler, older hosts) and senior year for me have been loading us up with stuff we need to do. I want to give you guys some updates cause we were able to figure out a few things.

Lunch

We’re having the same menu as last year and just like last year, we’re going to be having the page for people to sign up for. The menu is as follows: Pasta w/ meatless sauce on the side for our lovely vegetarians Hot Dogs Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers Deviled Eggs – Mayo, Mustard, Vinegar, Salt, Pepper, Dill Macaroni Salad – W/ + without Tuna Fish And here’s the link to the signup page along with the email to find it if need be (You can also have direct contact with me through there, so bonus)

Also for this update, I’m gonna be posting the schedule we have in mind for the day:

Greetings ~ 9:00-9:10 During this, we will do an introduction of all our hosts, volunteers, and the woman who will be our medic so no one gets confused on who they can ask questions to. We will also make sure that the picture consent and rule forms are signed as well as go over the rules.

Name Game/Other Ice Breaker ~ 9:11-9:25 We haven't decided on what Ice Breaker we're going to do yet, but it'll be something for everyone to do so that they could get used to more people around them and it'll be the perfect start to our fun day.

Wife Carrying Contest ~ 9:26-9:35 There will be three rounds with winners of First, Second, and Third place from each round. The team in First from each round will go against the other two teams who got first to get the places for overall victory and that's who gets the prizes.

Dating Game ~ 9:36-10:10 For this game, we're going to split it up into groups so more people could get involved. To make it more fun, we're going to try to stop friends from going against one another in the game, we're going to have all willing participants stand on one side and choose bachelorettes & bachelors by picking people far apart from one another. It may not stop all friends from being in the same round, but we're hoping to help minimize it. We'll also have some sample cards prepared with some questions in case the bachelor/bachelorette can't think of one.

OTP Contest ~ 10:11-11:00 This game, the people would be split up into five groups. You can be with anyone you want - it doesn't have to be the person you were with in the dating game. In each group, the members of said group will decide who one based on the voting system listed as follows. After all the skits have been performed, each member of the group will decide which skit was best. Each person gets to vote on the skit done by another couple. Once the group decides who wins, the duo has to perform the skit in front of everyone and the group as a whole will decide who won overall in mass. For each round, the timing will be roughly fifteen minutes in your small group and ten minutes for the whole group. We're trying for two rounds, so there will be twice the amount of winners. These will be how the prizes get given out. Five couples will get a prize for being Best in Group and one couple will be given prizes for being Best Overall.

Ship Proposal ~ 11:01-11:25 Have some ships you want to make canon in our little world? Time to make our fan dreams a reality by finding your ship and making it happen. Find or make a friend who cosplays your OTP and have them propose; show the world (Heh, get it?... I’m so sorry…) that they’re the best by the cuteness you show off to the world.

Prizes ~ 11:25-11:30 This will be the first prizing time of the day, the second in the afternoon. These are what the prizes are for with each event: Wife Carrying Contest I. 1st - Medium Prize (Two Prizes Available) II. 2nd - Small Prize (Two Prizes Available III. 3rd - Small Prize (Two Prizes Available OTP Contest (Two rounds, so double the prizes) I. Best in Group - Medium/Small Prizes (Ten Prizes Available) II. Best Overall - Large Prize (Two Prizes Available)

Lunch ~ 11:30-12:15 During lunch, it will be announced that whoever is going to be in the fashion show needs to sign up so they can be called/have a number prepared for them. The numbers will be the order that you walk down the carpet. It's first come, first serve, so get there quickly if you want to get a number that's towards the front.

Pictures ~ 12:20-12:53 We're going to be taking some group pictures as well as ones with ships and individual characters. This is so we can post them on our facebook page and you can tag yourself on them if you would like! Anyone who does not want to be in photos, will not be forced into photos.

CAH ~ 12:55-1:30 Depending on how many people, there will be three to five groups with nine to twelve people in them.

Cosplay Death Match ~ 1:31-2:00 There will be three groups minimum so that everyone has a chance to participate in this game. The point of the game is to put 2-4 different cosplayers against one another to see who would win in a fight. The way to figure out the winner(s)? By yelling of course. Whichever cosplayer gets the most cheers will win the battle. THIS IS PLAY FIGHTING ONLY, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL YOU BE HITTING ANYONE HARDER THAN A LIGHT TAP. NO WEAPONS WILL BE USED AS ACTUAL WEAPONS. IF WE SEE THAT, YOU WILL BE HANDLED APPROPRIATELY. Before any play fighting goes down, we will make sure to double check to see if there are any extra no-no zones to be sure that no one gets touched a place they do not want to.

Fashion Show ~ 2:01-2:40 Are you ready to strut your stuff and show to others that your country is the best? Then step on down because we will be having the contest to prove that you are the Prettiest Nation at the Flower Queen Ball. Despite the intro, this is a serious thing with a chance of 15 people to win. We will have someone show the difference between a good strut and a bad one and also the other prize winning opportunities. They are as followed: I. Best Strut - This will be based on the example given, so pay attention II. Best In Character Actions - Who acts like the country they represent to the audience/judges III. Best Pose - Don't be afraid to flaunt what Pangea gave ya IV. Biggest Brown-Noser - Who tries to schmooze the judges the most V. Most Interactive - Who interacts the audience when they go down, but still in character. For example, a Prussia cosplayer could call out "WHO'S AWESOME?!" and waiting for a response of "You are!"

RP ~ 2:41-3:00 We'll be split into five groups, one host for each group. All volunteers have the chance to be in this one and have a shot at the panel. Each host gets a card with some ideas on it to put the group of rpers in. Depending at how well you rp, the host chooses one person who rped the best in their group and they'll get put into the panel.

Prizes ~ 3:00-3:05 This is the final set of prizes for the day. They are as listed: Fashion Show I. Best Strut A. 1st - Sash and Tiara and Wand B. 2nd - Sash C. 3rd - Sash I. Best in Character Actions A. 1st - Sash and Tiara and Wand B. 2nd - Sash C. 3rd - Sash I. Best Pose A. 1st - Sash and Tiara and Wand B. 2nd - Sash C. 3rd - Sash I. Biggest Brown-Noser A. 1st - Sash and Tiara and Wand B. 2nd - Sash C. 3rd - Sash I. Most Interactive A. 1st - Sash and Tiara and Wand B. 2nd - Sash C. 3rd - Sash

Panel ~ 3:06-3:45 The hosts and the 5 winners get asked questions from anyone who wasn't chosen from the panel. Please do not ask more than two questions, we want everyone to have a chance to ask at least one. The volunteers will be keeping the questions PG-13. If you get a card, please heed the warning. The cards are as follows: A. Yellow Card - That's the warning card, it basically means that you have one more chance before you lose question privileges for the panel due to the sexual manner of your question B. Red Card - You have now lost the chance to ask questions you dirty, dirty, France

Truth or Dare/Free Time ~ 3:46 - 4:00 At this time, we're basically just winding down because the park is going to close soon. You can either play Truth or Dare or go off to catch Pokemon or whatever you wish to do as long as you treat the park right. There's going to be two games of Truth or Dare going on - One that's more tame and the other has more close contact and daring things.

Another Update~

Hey guys, Allee here with another update! Sorry they’ve been slow, but summer means jobs and work and other adult things none of us hosts like to do. I’m writing this update to let you all know that we have a date as well as the location set for Hetalia Day this year! We’re going to be back at Fort Mott again (That place was absolutely fantastic last year from the gorgeous location and amazing staff who helped us with all of this) on Saturday, October 21st! The times will be the same as last year; 9am to 4pm. We’re still working out the events, so if you have any games/ideas in mind, send them over to us through messages/email/carrier pigeons (Not really, please don’t track us down for that; that would be creepy) so we can look them over and they may be added to the schedule.

Another thing to talk about is volunteers. If anyone would like to be a volunteer, please get in contact with one of the hosts immediately so we can look into having extra hands of help this year! As a volunteer, you’d get to help out with some of the processes going on as well as stay in the loop with everything happening up to and beyond the event, so bonus perks there.

I think that’s everything for now, the eventbrite page is up for tickets and the actual event is listed as an event (I FINALLY figured out how to do it guys, I’m learning), so you can sign up and let us know that you’re coming this year! Don’t be afraid to send around the event to your friends so we can have even more people than last year guys; let’s make this big and fun so we can all enjoy ourselves no matter who we are. Hello Everyone!!

What’s up everyone, Allee here to start on some updates! Well, not really updates, a couple questions for you guys. I know I speak for all three hosts and pour lovely volunteers when I say that Hetalia Day was awesome last year and we want to have another great year with you guys again. Our date hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but I wanted to have you guys answer a couple questions if you can. We’re going to be having most of the same games and events as we did last year, but are there any games/events you are really excited for or want us to look into? And do anyone have any song ideas for the fashion show? If you have any recommendations for anything, leave a comment and I’ll try to get back to you all as soon as I can. Really, Really Important Update

Hey guys, Allee here with a really important update. I just found out that we won't be getting the goodie bags until Monday due to problems with the shipping of the items. What we will ask of you all is to leave a shipping address we can send your bag to when you sign in so that we can send you guys what you got from the bags. I'm so sorry that we can't give it to you in person, but alas, shipping problems are out of our hands. Thank you guys for understanding. When you sign in, there will be slips of paper beside it so you can write the address and hand it to my mom who will be running the sign in booth. If you have any questions, send a message. I'll see you guys tomorrow; make sure to look for the signs!

Small Update

Hey guys, Allee here with an update! I just checked our Eventbrite page and saw that we had 50 people for the sign up. This is totally awesome and I can't wait to see you all in five days. This has been quite the adventure to plan out and can't wait to see how it all pans out. Remember to register a ticket if you haven't already and please guys, try to sign up to bring something in; we really need your help with all that. Weather Update

Hello everyone! This is Host Kat here with your weather forecast! It's looking to be mostly sunny in the high of the low 60s so bringing a sweater might be a great idea unless you're planning to burn a nation like Rome did! Humidity's in the 70% range so it will feel slightly warmer but we got some wind coming too. Remember to stay toasty and there will be hot water! Adios~
