after smackdown last night i went around the side of the building where the superstars leave. i said hi to kevin owens and he goes “shhh! i’m not supposed to be here!” and runs away. he ends up going back inside and coming back out a half hour later and i said hi again and he goes “remember what i said earlier? sh!”

Concert Review - Falling In Reverse (ft. Ice Nine Kills, New Year’s day, and From Ashes To New)

Info needed for this to make sense: Ronnie Radke is the lead singer for Falling In Reverse. He’s dating Paige.

I went to the show on 5/5 in NYC. I had VIP and we were told we’d be let in at 4:45 so we got in line at 3:30. There was about 30 other people in line at that point. Ronnie’s friend went around verifying who had VIP and handing out wristbands. From the outside, you’d never guess this place was a concert venue.

At about 4:50 they tell VIP to form our own line and we got in around 5:05. We stopped and went to the bathroom before lining up downstairs where they had an open room, a bar & a merch room. Two girls behind us ask if we can take their picture against a brick wall, so of course we said yes and were taking a ton of pictures for them from different angles when 5 guys come out from behind the curtain all confused. It was them. It was FIR waiting to do their photo ops and we were in their way and they were like uh, wtf. Whoops. Here’s the downstairs with cool mirrors and red lights:

So we’re all waiting to take a picture with the band and i’m like “there’s no way i’m just taking a picture bro i have to talk to him.” I go up to them, hug him, and ask “Is Paige here?” and Ronnie says “uhh.... i don’t know.” and i was like “what do you mean you don’t know???” and he goes “yeah, she is. she’s right behind you.” I turn around. Of course she’s not there, so i go “FIRST OF ALL RONNIE,” but then I had to leave because more pictures had to be taken. But I talked to him so my life was made.

We all get ushered into the room which is SUPER small. Like really fucking small. We all circle up for Ronnie’s Q&A and i tweeted “Just met ronnie. on the lookout for Paige” and Paige liked it not even two minutes later. The Q&A starts and in the back corner behind their barricade was Paige. Obviously I was there for Ronnie so I didn’t want to make everything about Paige so I just waved to her & she waved back!!! Life made x2.

One girl asked if he took Willow (his daughter) on tour and he just goes “She’s fucking five. What the fuck.” Iconic.

The Q&A ends and everyone runs to the stage. I was actually at barricade (here’s my proof). A girl pushed in front of me and then asked me to back up. Uhhh, what? This is general admission. U ain’t gonna have any space. It’s common knowledge. We all friends now.

So she has this HUGE guy stand in front of me. Had to have been at least 6’4 and stocky. WHY ARE YOU IN THE FRONT ROW? I couldn’t see the stage because his shoulders were blocking me. I eventually moved enough to see by the time Ronnie came on thank god. I would’ve punched someone.

New Year’s Day comes on. Iconic band, 10/10. Ash Costello, the lead singer, is hot and nice and also works with Rhea Ripley!!! I’d never heard of them before but I fell in love immediately. 100% go listen.

From Ashes To New comes on. Honestly I couldn’t understand a damn thing they were saying except for their song ‘Crazy’ which is pretty good, not gonna lie. Their guitarist threw out so many picks. The next day the guitarist messaged me on Instagram asking how the show was, and told me the crowd was so awful because that’s how NYC is.

Ice Nine Kills comes on. They were pretty good, but I couldn’t get into their music before or after the show. I loved the idea of them doing a whole album based off of horror movies, though.

Falling in Reverse finally comes on. I literally cannot believe how close I am to Ronnie Radke. I’m going hard as fuck to this band. Then Ronnie asks the crowd to split down the middle and a girl next to me shoved me so hard back into the crowd because she wanted “personal space.” GET. OUT. OF. THE. MOSH. PIT. THEN.

FIR leaves and everyone is waiting for an encore. They come back and Ronnie starts hyping tf out of a song and it ends up being All Star by Smashmouth and people moshed so hard to it, it was so funny.

At that point I was getting tired of people and didn’t want to deal with everyone leaving at once so we went downstairs to look at the merch. I ended up literally running into Ash Costello. I panicked and ended up blurting “You’re gorgeous and good at what you do” and she looks at me all confused and asks “me?” and i was like um yes and so goes OH MY GOD, THATS SO SWEET, THANK YOU and now I’m in love with her.

Usually at these shows, the crowd is really nice. Usually a “we’re all here for the music let’s have a good time” vibe, but here, everyone just wanted their personal space in the pit and got really mad really easily. Super dumb. Don’t stand second row if you want space. At one point a guy took off his shirt and elbowed my friend in the head really hard and didn’t even say anything. Yikes.

Take away the crowd with the shitty attitudes, it was a real fucking good show. I love Ronnie Radke. & I still talk to the guitarist from From Ashes to New on snapchat sometimes. 15/10 night. Here’s some random pictures from that day. (The FIR sweatshirt is 20/10. so fluffy)
