This is my attempt at madhubani paintings and mandala art. Madhubani paintings mostly depict people and their association with nature and scenes and deities from the ancient epics. While drawing the mandala, I was thinking about the significance of fish, Pisces or matsya in most cultures, how it marks our humble beginnings as humans. Look inside and find the yourself, find flesh of the tree that you grew from. Go inward further, find the leaves and the flowers. Go inward further and find the roots.
