2 years of Rise of the Pink Ladies. I rewatch the season all the time and I still love these songs. I miss this show and wish it would have been picked up by another network. It deserved so much better.

i awake with a guilt that aches my bones and drift to sleep with thoughts of the same. there’s a lingering shame that follows anywhere my steps may lead that tells me that i’m selfish and unworthy of salvation of any kind. i’ve committed no crime that has led to this line of thinking — aside from following my heart and loving who i’m called to love. i’ve hurt and been hurt and these hauntings circle through my mind like an endless barrage of self-inflicted punishment. there is no rhyme or reason for my beating myself into the ground until i can no longer bear to breathe and yet, these actions persist. i feel the ugliest when speaking to friends and family because they believe me to be a person i find myself incapable of being — loving, kind, honest. hearing their praise is akin to being burned from the inside out and i cannot shake the feeling that i am a sham, a falsehood of ideology that i have manipulated others to see.

one day i will heal — i am sure of it — but that day has never seemed further away. until then, i will swim in my self-loathing, gasping for air.

So I’ve been thinking about this moment for the last few days. Their own private good-bye before all of the official good-byes, each about to embark on their different off-season paths. Carson, through a bit of humor, resigning to maybe not seeing Greta again, knowing that Greta still has her rules and needs to keep them.

And then Greta says this.

More than anything, this was the moment that shows how much Greta has shed her old, protective self and transformed from how we originally meet her. How much she really has fallen for Carson.

From “No. We’re home now. Not in our little room.” when Carson just wants to *talk*, to “You could come with me.” without Carson even prompting anything.

Greta, who sets her boundaries of when things start and end (think of every kiss and moment she initiates) decides in this moment to say

"No, I want this, whatever it is or is going to be. I don’t want to give this up."

And then THIS PART really just got me for the first time.

Greta just asked Carson to come to New York with her on a whim.

When it comes to women, Greta Gill doesn’t do whims.

You’re telling me that Greta really doesn’t have any sort of plan beyond that offer? That she doesn’t have fifteen different scenarios running in her head?

Miss “I have a rule for every possible interaction I could have with a woman” doesn’t??

How this would work?????
