Victoria is a self-made woman, through and through. Ever since she left home---far away, since she wanted to get away from her parents as soon as she could---she’s worked to become successful. And she very much buys into her own bootstraps narrative.
#because she is a conservative#on most levels#headcanon#look it's something relevant to this blog wow

when you’re a lesbian dating a co-worker no one will figure it out because people just assume you’re gal pals

Guys.
My dudes.
You have no idea
how satisfying it is
to be the only girl at a table with five dudes
who are all hitting on the waitress
and you’re the one who gets her number

i can’t stress enough how important it is for allies and fellow community members who are not lesbians to use the word lesbian positively and use it often. help normalize it. please.
those of us who are lesbians and comfortable with it can only do so much. we’re made to feel like it’s dirty and negative, which is why so many lesbians can’t or won’t use the word. so, we need your help to make other lesbians not be ashamed of the word.
use it positively. use it often. explicitly say or use the word lesbian when you are talking specifically about lesbians or lesbianism (as opposed to, say, gay or q***r women). use positive language and words in the same breath as the word lesbian.
make it a habit to use the word lesbian as much as you can to help your lesbian siblings associate it with positive imagery and to normalize its usage in a way that is commonplace.
