Tifa honestly surprised herself, only there three days and already she was picking up different habits. Maybe it was due to suddenly arriving at this city or maybe it was the fear she may miss someone she knew if she slept was what kept her awake that night as well as urging her to take a nighttime stroll.
Whatever it was she would look back on it and be happy she had allowed her body to follow this idea.
Walking down the almost empty street, she let her mind wander. Cloud had disappeared a while ago and that sheep’s note had said it was her own desire to be there that lead her there, which meant Tifa had come there maybe through her own desire to find Cloud again? Who knew.
Walking more she made a mental sigh, yeah there was no way her childhood friend was there. That sort of magic didn’t exist.
Tifa suddenly froze in place hearing a voice behind her. That voice.
“Cloud?” she asked turning around. She was frozen suddenly, wide eyed seeing him. It took a few long moments before she could speak again.
“Cloud.”
Cloud blinked slowly. Was that really Tifa? Clearly it was because she knew his name. But he also hallucinated sometimes, so he wasn’t positive this was real....The only one he tended to hear in his hallucinations though was Aerith.

Which meant she was really here. “Tifa.” He stepped closer, sliding his hands into his pocket. “Guessin’ you just showed up here recently?” OR they had somehow managed to miss each other a lot.

“Somethin’ special to you, huh?” Cloud could understand that. Although the thing he had that was special to him was a rather large and unwieldy sword. He crossed his arms and examined the other for a moment. “So did you just end up here?”
@complexedstigma
“Oh, it’s uh–just a ring.” He sounded almost insecure when the other asked what he was holding, but it was the truth. It was a ring that held divine powers, though it had been stripped of it since Noctis came into this strange city.

Sleepless nights were a norm for Cloud by now. Between memories that didn't match up keeping him awake, dreams that sent chills and sweat down his spine, and his geostigma acting up. Sleep wasm't something Cloud was so familiar with anymore. He spent most nights wandering around a mostly quiet city nowadays. Exactly what he'd be doing in Edge, honestly. Stella City didn't remind him in the least of Midgar or Edge. It was much too peaceful, much too pastel and pretty to remind him of the dark metal of Midgar that discouraged the growth of actual plants. Clearly the lifestream flowed freely here. These were the thoughts that stuck out to him as he wandered, only pausing when he saw someone else wandering about as well. "....You a night owl or could you just not sleep?" He asked as he stepped closer to the other.

Cloud sighed as he stepped out of the hotel. The days were starting to get cooler and it was actually kind of nice. He could walk around without feeling too hot. Not that he was really bothered by small temperature changes because of the mako enhancements. But he did prefer the cold, being from Nibelheim.
It was a decent early morning so he headed off on a run. He was about halfway done when he finally ran into someone else who was awake at stupid o’clock in the morning.

“...Didn’t think anyone else would be up right now.”

『 aa, it’s fine…! i can make it! 』At least, he thinks… though he’s reluctant to try it out without letting out the last words he can. He shuffles, awkward.『 i won’t be able to talk, though, so… uu, thank you. i’ll be going ahead… 』
Waiting for him to read the message, he tucks his phone carefully in his pocket, before approaching the bike. It occurs to him that if he fell off this thing, he could probably be irreparably damaged. That was… what happened to metal, in a collision. Shaking his head a little, he pushes himself up onto the seat, making sure he’s properly settled before putting his arms around the stranger’s waist. If he thought about it, this was really a bizarre situation… but if he would simply shut down otherwise, then he would take it.
“Won’t be able to hear anything, anyway. Even if you spoke out loud.” Cloud said. Fenrir was a motorcycle after all. And they were quite loud. He waited until the boy was settled behind him and attached to his waist before starting up the bike.
He didn’t go too fast down the city streets. Mostly because he didn’t want the kid to fall off since he’d never been on a bike before. Still, they reached the hotel in a decent amount of time.
“Alright. Here we are.” He said as he cut the engine. “Need help gettin’ to your room or are you good?”

Wandering around the city lost and totally confused had definitely taken its toll but also Noctis had completely given up trying to understand this place so he did what he liked to do best; lay down and take a nap.
It was a warm afternoon when he had decided this grassy area of the city was a decent place for a rest; it was quiet and although he was in a strange environment, he didn’t have anything of real value upon his person so taking a small nap in such a place really wasn’t much of a concern.
Apparently he had slept for much longer than intended. The tap upon his cheek stirred him from his slumber, though he did automatically swat at whoever had disturbed him. The unfamiliar voice registered but he still couldn’t find the energy to really move, instead moving an arm over his eyes to block out the rays of the late afternoon sun.
“I got lost,” He explained briefly. He would be sleeping in a bed if he knew where said bed actually was. He remained where he was for a few seconds before finally sitting up, rubbing the sleepiness from his eyes with the heel of his hand and finally looking up at the stranger next to him; in his half-awake state he almost mistook him for Prompto but caught himself quickly. “…Also the ground’s fine…”
Cloud sighed. At least the guy was alive. He sat down and fiddled with his gloves. “Catch a cold that way. Even in warm climates like this.” Back in Nibelheim, no one would ever be caught sleeping outside.

“So you got lost....Where are you stayin’? Know my way around the city pretty well by now I can get you there. Don’t know if you’d be able to sleep on th’ way back, though.” Motorcycles were only good for sleeping on if you were completely passed out.
It honestly wasn’t really his business, though, was it? “...Course. If you want t’ stay outside, that’s fine, I guess.”

mythandwarning:
“Then it must be different people. The man I’m thinking of had golden eyes. It’s strange how we could have encountered such similar people. It may speak to the state of the universe.” He’d always been odd company, but it seemed the early morning hours made him even stranger.

“For what it’s worth, I hope you don’t find him. He sounds ill-suited to company.”
“I hope I don’t find him too.” Cloud said with a sigh. Considering Sephiroth was meant to be dead, finding him would be pretty freakin’ awful. He leaned back against the fridge and finished off his glass. He still wasn’t tired.
“Ill-suited is puttin’ it nicely. Doesn’t sound like th’ guy you’re talkin’ about is very good company, either. If he’s as similar to Sephiroth as he sounds.”

There was always a point in Cloud’s day when he got off of Fenrir to just take a walk around the city. Generally after work, before he decided on what he was going to eat for dinner. And he usually just walked around for 2 or 3 blocks before turning around and heading back to his bike. Which was how he found himself wandering through a nice grassy area around dusk.
It was a rather calm place, so he wasn’t all that surprised to see someone fast asleep on the ground. Though it wasn’t the safest place. Kneeling, he tapped the other man’s cheek with the back of his hand gently.
“Hey... You probably shouldn’t be sleeping here.” If he had a blanket, the blond would probably just throw it over the other and leave but...he didn’t. And it was too easy to get sick sleeping outside with no cover so...
Cloud nudged the other again, a little rougher this time. “Hey. Buddy. If you’re tired you should be sleepin’ in a bed. Not on th’ ground.”
