The Reylo Love Theme!!!

It exists! It’s just not titled....

John Williams likes to follow patterns, so here’s how he told us where the Reylo theme is.

Attack of the Clones: Across the Stars is established as Anakin and Padme’s love theme. On that soundtrack, their theme plays immediately after the main title theme in the Finale track.

The Empire Strikes Back: Han Solo and the Princess is established as Han and Leia’s love theme. On that soundtrack, their theme also plays immediately after the main title theme in the Finale track.

So!!! In The Rise of Skywalker, Ben and Rey’s love theme is in the same place! Right after the main title theme in the Finale track! 😍

Thomas Newman reusing melodies!

Newman is known for Finding Nemo, Skyfall and most recently 1917, but at the beginning of his career he did the soundtrack for a film called Oscar and Lucinda (Ralph Fiennes, Cate Blanchett), which you can only find the soundtrack for on Youtube. In one of the tracks called Church of Glass, there is a male chorister singing a high melodic line: (1:12)

This same melodic line happens in a more well known soundtrack for the film Road to Perdition (Tom Hanks, Jude Law, Tyler Hoechlin) in one of the tracks called Cathedral, and is again sung by a male chorister in a high pitch. However, this melody is sung a 4th lower (starting on an Eb rather than an Ab): (2:10)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban/Merlin (TV Series)

Only just realised this while scrolling through my music library, but if you listen to the track called Buckbeak’s Flight (from 00:26) on the Prisoner of Azkaban soundtrack, it contains the same theme as the track called Merlin Lost on the Merlin soundtrack!
