i am 100% sure this woman has gender dysphoria of some kind but i cannot for the life of me work out if this is a cis woman who hates what menopause + her mild pcos is doing/has done to her body (+ a shitton of internalised fatphobia + ageism) or a trans person who has no idea its possible they could be trans, whose dysphoria is manifesting as trying to be the unachievable ideal for their assigned gender and hating the things she percieves as causing her to fail to do so (which i hear is especially common for older trans ppl)
*stares intently at mother* are??? are? you an egg???
#alpaca.txt#i also have no idea how to encourage her to explore the possibility shes not woman#and i know her enough that shell just entirely dismiss the idea if i say it too bluntly#what ive been trying to do is enourage her to do things that make her happy which. is mostly based around#getting her out of her super toxic work environment tbh. shes not really going to consider anything while shes there

Being Transmasc is wild because first you’re a girl and you’re weak whiny emotional irrational annoying and uppity and “on your period” and you’d be prettier if you smiled and stopped making everything about feminism all the damn time
and then all of a sudden you’re a man and you’re ‘the problem’ and you just want to oppress girls and talk over women to validate yourself and make it all about you because all men ever do is take over the conversation and be abusive and use their toxic masculinity to bludgeon everyone around them and like
The whole time you’ve always just been you

You should only write in present tense with extreme caution.
not because it's bad or anything but because if you do it even once you're going to be editing the bits where you shifted tenses out of your writing for the rest of your life
