So, Tarlos (TK) broke up off-screen over moving in together and things being too perfect, so TK "did the thing" and self sabotaged.

Bucktommy (Tommy) broke up on-screen over moving in together and Tommy admits he wanted to be Buck's last but he "knows how this ends" and he broke up with Buck.

TK eats snickerdoodle cookies with Nancy right after talking about her inviting Carlos to a 126 get-together.

Buck bakes whenever he thinks about Tommy and he ends up making chocolate chip, peanut butter, and snickernoodle cookies with Jee.

Tarlos has an awkward meet on a call after the break-up.

In an interview, Oliver mentions that bucktommy could have an awkward meeting on a call.

Idk... I'm just jotting shit down at this point.

Tim: you can literally name your price, man. Just please get back to me.

Imagine this, stay with me. This might sound stupid lol. This might not ever happen but I/we can dream lol

Buck goes to harbour station and Tommy just got back from a call and he’s sees Buck and they talk, then Tommy walks off but Buck finds a way to get his attention by getting the mic from the reception (where they announce the calls) he blurts out ‘I love you’ and Tommy turns around and so does everyone else.

Tommy Kinard finally got people to fight for him - whether it's Buck or not, who knows - that's up to the writers - but over his years with a difficult father, a bigot captain, and who knows what else - this time when he distanced himself to protect his heart, there are people in the fandom fighting the network, the showrunners, and everyone else who tries to make Tommy believe that he doesn't deserve a happy ending and that he is worth fighting for. Whether Buck runs after Tommy or not to tell him that he is someone's forever, the fandom will sure make him believe that he is someone's forever and he doesn't have to live in the fear of being heartbroken again. He finally found a family who has his back when things go wrong.

I do wonder what the interviews with Lou especially would’ve looked like if he’d been interviewed by non-buddie journalists.

I think we’ve discussed to hell and back how unfinished the entire thing feels. But Buddie truthers walked out assuming this was indeed the end. That we’d reached the expiration date if you will. If you’re a journo who already thinks this is the expiration date, this is like the Super Bowl for you. And your confirmation bias is actually clouding your ability to report adequately.

Both Nicole and Lizzie’s interviews operate as if this entire storyline has in fact been hard-killed if you will. And yeah, Lou points out that his coming back would depend on availability.

I just wonder what type of interviews we’d have gotten if we it hadn’t been conducted by individuals no doubt frothing because they see this as a win for themselves, ya know?

Like yes, for Lou I do think this is indeed the closing of the current arc. Tommy’s decided to retreat from love and will be off-screen. And doing the breakup before the midseason finale means we’re gonna see Buck going through it. Whatever that looks like. And we don’t need to see Tommy on screen for this to happen. Buck’s the POV character. I hate the shitty writing choices, but I do think the writers have put the doorstopper there in case they want to return to this in whatever capacity that looks like. And I don’t think either journalist went into that interview understanding that as a possibility because their biases clouded their reporting.

so tldr: I wonder what Lou’s interviews would’ve looked like if they hadn’t all happened with buddie journalists given I think their biases shaped the questions they posed and how they posed them. And shoutout to @outrunningthedark for making this tickle my brain into a quick rabbit hole.

I actually don’t get it!! It doesn’t make any sense. Why make Ep 5 so fun, so enjoyable, so cutesy, to all of a sudden do something like that. They did Tommy wrong, Lou wrong and wrong for getting our hopes up. Like majority of us were so invested in their relationship. I seriously don’t know if i can keep up to date with the show. Tim said that he want, like, the romcom side of things, where’s the romcom side of it, he also said something about fighting for the relationship, where was the fighting for their relationship, huh?!? I DONT GET IT!!!!

Lou was so fucking excited to play a character that wasn’t just there for looks too. Tommy meant so fucking much to him and they kept asking him back and I’m sure he was thrilled each time and then they pulled the rug out from under him. I just read the interview and it doesn’t seem like he had any idea this would happen, or that he got a reason for it. He’s as fucking lost as we are.

Tommy stood beside Bobby's hospital bed. He'd stood silently behind Buck as the he had begged Bobby to be okay, thanked him for everything he'd done. He'd hung back in the corridor, pretending not to hear Eddie crying as he said he needed Bobby to tell him what to do. He'd fetched coffee for Hen and Chim as they grilled the doctor on Bobby's condition.

Now it was just him, his old captain and the background hum of the hospital.

"I never told you this," he said quietly, "but you changed my life. I spent years being scared to be who I was. Of being who I was.

"But then you came along. And you did everything you could to show how much you valued us all, just the way we are. Pushed us to be the best versions of ourselves."

Tommy sniffed back the sobs he'd been holding all day.

"You probably don't even remember this, but there was a call. A car accident, needed an air evac. You saw the way I looked at the chopper and later that evening you got me talking about what it was like to fly. Told me if I loved it so much I should get my licence reinstated."

He could feel the tears escaping his eyes rolling down his face.

"You gave me back my wings, cap. Gave me the courage to be the man I always wanted to be. Someone who could love how they wanted. Someone who could be loved."

The soft pad of footsteps echoed from the corridor outside. Tommy dragged his sleeve across his face to dry the tears, before leaning over to whisper in Bobby's ear.

"Sorry I never told you that before."

Maybe it's just me but I find it adorable that Tommy always says of course to Buck.

He said it when Buck thanked Tommy for meeting him for coffee and he said it at the bachelor party when Buck said he's glad that he made it. That of course, to me, it's a reassurance, it's a of course I made it/of course I agreed to meet you because I care, because I'm interested, because this means something to me.

And I think Buck needs to hear it.

post episode bucktommy where Buck volunteers to clean up the venue for Maddie and Chimney because they would have dealt with a large fee if they didn't have it cleaned up and of course the rest of the team offers as well (I can't imagine any LA wedding to be cheap)

and Tommy volunteers to come as well even if he's bone tired and when Buck says otherwise he insists because that's just what boyfriends do

they're cleaning up the place and Ravi has music playing and by now Tommy has showered and is in comfortable clothes and his hair is fluffy and curly and Buck just wants to hug him

and the next song is a slow one and Buck takes Tommy's hand and is like "you owe me a dance"

then they dance and they're both exhausted so it's more like swaying back and forth for a bit and they share another kiss
