For context: I made my husband watch the newest Defunctland video on audio-animatronics. He’s never been a big Disney nerd, but I got him hooked on Defunctland with Fastpass. He’s got a Masters in Audio Engineering, and when I say that he lost his mind hearing about how the audio was used to program the figures, it is an understatement. He had to rewind and then explain it to me in great depth. He’s anxiously awaiting part 2 now.

Hello Theatre Friends!

I am trying to reach out to the furthest corners of our little Techblr community and want to get to know you all! i feel like one of the biggest stage manager mood is “oh, I haven’t eaten or peed in the past 8 hours”

Being your stage manager does not mean I have to be your friend.  Being your stage manager means I lookout for your safety.  I can look out for your safety and still think you’re an asshole.  Looking out for your safety does not make me your friend, it makes me your stage manager.

This is just a reminder that you do not have to like the people you work with, but you still have to do your job.
