Arthur/Reader short blurb

You let out a sigh, hand creeping up to dance across Arthurs own on your chest. You smiled a bit from the touch. It kinda tingled, the softness. You opened your mouth to say something...unclear what. But you were cut short as Arthur nuzzled his face into your neck. He smelled of sweat and something sweet, not Joy, but something else.

"You smell nice..." you uttered out.

"...Do I? I've been running around all the stops, can't imagine I smell pleasant at all, luv."

You rolled over to face him and tickled your fingers up his chest, giggling a bit. He smirked and batted your hand.

"Yes.."

"I'll take your word for it, dear."

Arthur Hastings/Reader: Sleepy

You were both in the Garden District, slumping on each other due to absolute exhaustion. You were a few feet from the shelter, at least.

“Uuuughh… Artieeeee. It’s so fuckin’ late, why did we stay up so long?” you groaned, leaning on your lover’s shoulder. He mumbled something in response that wasn’t quite english, making you smirk. He was so cute when he was tired. You reached the hatch in minutes before you both collapsed.

Once in the shelter you both basically crawled to the cot you both shared. You flumped on the bottom and Arthur crawled up on top of you; murmuring sleepy gibberish. You couldn’t help but giggle at his nonsense as you fell asleep with him in your arms.
