Do you imagine skeksis smaller than humans ?

I think I read somewhere that they’re supposed to be smaller than humans but I personally imagine them as being pretty big. I think of them as being anywhere between like 6-7 foot. And I think of gelflings as being around 5 foot or a bit smaller. 💞

SkekMal reacting to someone flirting with his s/o~

(Let me preface this by saying that obviously headcanons about jealous Skeksis is not a place you should be looking for examples of a perfect partner.)

- First things first, people flirting with you is going to be a rare thing because of SkekMals status and behavior. Rumors spread fast within Thra especially when it revolves around the skeksis, so if one of them is courting someone everyone or nearly everyone is going to know and no one dares defy or try in any way; whether purposefully or not, to disrespect them.

- Not to mention you are rarely around other beings since SkekMal is a hunter at heart and prefers to remain in the forests of Thra or away from civilization. There are only going to be so many chances in which someone has the opportunity to flirt with you and even then most will know who you are and not dare to. Although there is always going to be one poor misinformed soul.

- He notices nearly instantly considering he is pretty much always at your side or watching from afar. If he doesn’t notice then it means you’re not in his line of view which most likely means you snuck away from him for some reason. This will make him even more furious considering this predicament is occurring “because of your insolence”.

- His immediate thought is to have their disrespectful tongue as a trophy. It’s an insult in itself that they would even dare try to take what’s his. It’s the same as blatantly stealing from him.

- He’ll stalk behind the daring or just plain ignorant creature, towering over them as they attempt to woo you. The atmosphere will grow silent as the Skeksis shadow looms over the two of you. Soon enough the creature will notice especially as your eyes become trained above and behind him. Thra help him as he turns to see what’s distracting you.

“Skekmal please.”

- He’ll say nothing in return, the room will grow incredibly tense and the creature will attempt to leave offering his sincerest apologies. Skekmal will fix his eyes on you, tilting his head to the side and studying you, trying to figure you out, figure out “why you feel the need to test his restraint” (not like he has any).

“He meant nothing by it, I promise you. Please.”

- You pleading will only make him angrier; why are you so interested in the wellbeing of this lowly creature? He won’t listen to your attempts to reassure him and will immediately leave to find the creature all while you quickly run after him trying to stop the inevitable.

- And he’ll kill them before you, like a true cold blooded sadist while you stand in horror, eyes wide in fear. Try to run from him after that and he’ll throw you over his shoulder and take you “home” as you scream.

- If you wish to calm him and ensure that he doesn’t kill the poor fool, you’ll have to distract him. Brightly greet him, pretend as though you hardly noticed the creatures attempts at flirting, come up with some excuse as to why you left his side, do anything to keep him from acting on his feral urges. If you’re good enough than you can maybe convince him that ‘no, of course he wasn’t flirting, that’s merely how these creatures act with each other’.

- He’ll be tense all day, it doesn’t even matter whether or not he killed the creature although he will be in a worse state if he doesn’t. He’ll make you feel greatly uncomfortable as he stares at you, refuses to speak, stays just far enough from you that it feels as though you’re being stalked rather than being in the company of your beloved.

- You’ll have to soothe him, approach him yourself as he watches you suspiciously, curiously. Wrap yourself around him, praise him, insult the creature who flirted, boost his ego as you tell him how he’s the only thing in Thra that you could ever imagine being with. You might just have a chance at calming him and ridding him of his anger.

- Other times or rather most times he’ll be loud, growling, barking, bellowing out demands for you to explain yourself, tell him who you belong to,tell him that you hate him, that you prefer that dirty creature over him because it’s obvious you do. A Skeksis is above any other creature on Thra but he’s aware that it does not matter to you and that bothers him more than anything else. It’s his insecurities about his own nature that fuels his jealousy.

- He’s the hunter, skilled and beautiful and powerful but what if you do not see that? What if you wish to run from him? Surely he’d chase you, track you down and drag you back but that would never solve you losing the love you had for him. He could capture you as much as he pleases but he could never force you to feel, no matter how hard he can try.

- And what has he to offer you? Forget his status; the fact that he is a Skeksis, and think. He’s cruel, uncaring, unkind, he does not know how to love, how to be gentle and show you how much he cares, it’s not in his nature. What do you want with him? That creature, that disgusting sniveling worm could love you better than he and why wouldn’t they. If you were precious to him, he who feels nothing and has no fondness for anybody, then surely you would be precious to them.

- Don’t take offense when he insults you, his rage is ugly and you’ll see have to get used to it if you wish to be with him. You’ve effectively made him feel things he’s never felt before; inadequate, worthless, small, no matter if you meant to or not. He’s just lashing out in a way that’s normal for him, he doesn’t want to face his feelings, they aren’t comfortable and he’d like to keep them buried deep and far from your eyes.

- He’ll be rough with you, pulling and pushing, nails digging into your skin. He’ll pin you to things and make sure that you cannot escape his harsh voice.

- You will not be allowed out of his sight again nor will you be allowed outside of the campsite for quite a while afterwards.

- In conclusion having a jealous Skekmal seething at your side is not a fun time so it’s best to reject those who flirt with you as quickly as you can, hopefully before Skekmal can notice.

Living with the Skeksis

(If you would like more headcanons of a particular Skeksis then feel free to send them in! This took very long to make so I do hope you enjoy)

- Lets start things off with the fact that if you are living with the skeksis chances are you’re either their slave or have royal lineage that they can use to their advantage. But I do believe that there could be another more plausible option which is: royal pet.

- Since you’re human you would rightfully be considered an oddity in Thra and what do monarchs do with things no one else has seen before? Own them. You aren’t treated as an animal of course, not when you can speak, read and write, but they do think of you as a sort of source of entertainment and envy.

- You would be a bit like a servant but that’s just in their nature, anything that isn’t a skeksis is meant to be taking orders from them. You won’t be waiting on them hand and foot but if they ask you to do something, they expect you to do it.

** I’m going to stick with the “royal pet” idea for now. **

- You met the skeksis while exploring Thra. Their carriage had come up on the path right beside you and for a brief moment you had met eyes with SkekOk through the small window. You really thought nothing of it until mere moments later the carriage had quickly halted to a stop ahead of you.

- You hesitated but continued on your way, taking nervous glances at the carriage as you passed. The face of SkekOk was easily visible as he watched you through the window and you politely said good afternoon. The door of the carriage swung open causing you to practically jump out of your skin as SkekOks head poked out.

“YOU THERE!”

“...yes?”

“Pray tell, what may you be?”

- And after a brief but slightly uncomfortable few moments of questioning you were invited into the carriage and on your way to the palace to be shown off to the others. For your sake or more realistically to ensure you would come without any trouble SkekOk made it seem as though you were being graciously invited for a warm meal and place to stay for the night, not to be gawked at.

- Skeklach and SkekOk are not exactly the most comfortable traveling companions but the skeksis aren’t really comfortable companions in general so you have to get used to that. Although granted some skeksis are better then others when dealing with you and your presence.

- Regardless of the Skeksis manners and their unnerving luring of you into their carriage you arrived at the palace after about an hour of sitting, being questions, observed, and slightly poked at. 

- There would be quite the commotion when SkekOk and Skeklach lead you into the dining hall to meet the other Skeksis. Undoubtedly there will be some screeches and gasps amongst other shocked and intrigued reactions when they first lay eyes on you. A few “what is that’s” and so on.

- Skekso demanded the meaning of “this” and your companions explained their idea being only slightly discreet about their motives. You remained where you stood, fidgeting as the Skeksis sat staring at you from their seats at the table. You began to regret your decision as you realized this was not an innocent and gracious invitation by the bird-like lords of Thra.

- Regardless of the uncomfortable introduction you were invited to dinner...well sort of. Podlings brought in a mini table and a seat and soon enough you were sat before the Skeksis with a plate of your own being watched like a circus act.

- The food is odd to say the least; slightly disgusting and a bit scarring at times but you do your best to pick at what seems edible and seem thankful for their generosity.

- After your meal you’re told that you can stay for just that night but the following morning you’re invited by the Skeksis to “enjoy a day in castle”. You spend your day being pulled from room to room by the Skeksis who are curious yet repulsed by you.

- After a few more nights spent as a guest you are invited to remain in the castle forever and while it is uncomfortable at times you still enjoy living with the odd creatures.

Skekso

- You’ll most likely spend the most time with him basically being his “pet” and entertaining him when the podlings fail to. You’re often going to be found at his side in the throne room mostly just being there to be gawked at by visitors and residents of the castle alike. It fills him with pride when he sees their awed faces knowing he “has” something they never will or have never seen before.

- From time to time you’ll be tasked with menial things like finding another skeksis and informing them of something or delivering something to them.

- He holds you at a higher regard then the podlings so he trusts you with more important tasks but really his trust isn’t worth a whole lot since he doesn’t believe the podlings capable of doing much besides cooking, cleaning and playing music.

- He gives you a great many gifts in an attempt to keep you pleased and ensure that you wish to stay with the Skeksis. He also believes that the gifts will gain him your favor and your loyalty should an issue arise within the castle. You are far more agile then they after all, you would be a good ally even if you are a mere “human”.

- Theres been times where hes awoke in a cold sweat, shivering as he’s wandered down the palace halls to your chambers. He woke you up quietly and taken you to see the darkness. He doesn’t say much as the two of you stand there he merely wants your company as he sits and watches the swirls of purple before him.

Skektek

- Skektek will undoubtedly experiment on you a little bit. Test pokes and prods, taking samples from here and there, moving your limbs and face around to examine you, etc. He wants to try to classify you/get a basic understanding of your species. He’s very curious as to what you are, where you came from and how you work.

- At times he feels sorry for you or the closest a Skeksis can be to being sorry. He’s not very fond of the other Skeksis himself so he can only imagine how you feel. He pities you, he truly does, so he’ll allow you to stay beside him in his secluded lab if you stay quiet and out of the way.

- He thinks it’s oddly amusing seeing you coo or attempt to play with his creatures. If you act kind and earn his trust he’ll allow you to take them out or help him to feed and take care of them.

- He won’t admit it but he enjoys your company and the help you provide when you can/when he asks you. It also makes him happy when you sit and listen to his explanations and watch him with interest while he works.

Skeksil

- Skeksil likes to play tricks on you. He thinks that manipulating you is fun and whenever he manages to scare you he’s overly proud. Although he does feel a slight twinge of guilt when you’re genuinely nice to him with no ulterior motive in sight. But if there isn’t a motive he’ll convince himself that there is one until he no longer feels bad for you.

- He acts sickly sweet at other times in attempts to gain your trust, gifts, sticking up for you or convincing the emperor to let you do something he originally didn’t allow you to do. If you aren’t stupid you’ll be suspicious and hesitant in trusting him.

- He’ll try to coerce you into helping him with his schemes and when you don’t agree he’ll try to persuade the emperor that you’re no good or blackmail you with false allegations. It rarely works but it does succeed in scaring you and making you wary of him.

- He quite likes your company even if he makes it so that you are uncomfortable in his presence. You’ll catch him lurking in the shadows and find that he seems to be everywhere you turn.

Skekvar

- Skekvar likes to poke and prod like Skektek but not in the same way, theres nothing scientific about his methods nor his reasoning. His touching trials don’t last for a very long time especially if he finds what he’s looking for which is just how far he can go until you show visible pain.

- A curious scratch here, nip there, knock on the elbow, grip of the wrist and an additional hard squeeze; he wants to see how strong or rather how fragile you are. I would suggest faking pain a little before his tests begin to actually hurt so that when he’s being cruel he never hurts you too badly.

- He gets very annoyed when he sees Skeksil with you, whether it be because he doesn’t like Skeksil or because he doesn’t like the way his fellow Skeksis tries to manipulate you. He’s not afraid to bellow our threats and tear the two of you apart if he deems the Skeksis behavior “inappropriate”.

- You want to watch him train? He’d be glad to show off and get your applause. Want him to teach you? He’ll give you a few basic lessons, he doesn’t want you being able to hurt any of his people badly if you turn on them.

- He does have a slight soft spot for you which if of course uncharacteristic of Skeksis. He doesn’t like it but he can’t help it.

Skeklach

- First things first. Ew. Here’s to hoping you don’t have a weak stomach. Be sure to keep a tissue around in case you get dribbled on or sprayed with... yuck.

- Skeklach doesn’t try to be rude per say but they just can’t seem to help it. They’re crude and offensive and overall just plain mean. They view you as below them; as most of the Skeksis do, but she can never seem to bite her tongue when it would be wise to.

- Shes the collector so she definitely has quite a few treasures laying around. Perhaps she’d allow you to see them …if you did something for her first of course.

- It’s quite easy to earn her favor especially when you gift her something.

“Pretty~”

SkekOk

- SkekOk is most likely the most fond of you, believing you to “be his” more than any other Skeksis, he found you after all.

- He enjoys teasing you and attempting to joke about his fellow Skeksis more or less insulting them in attempts to make you feel closer to him.

- He enjoys correcting your grammar and using big words to see the impressed look on your face as he explains their meaning to you.

- He enjoys hugs although they make him a bit flustered and uncomfortable. He never quite gets used to them but he appreciates the reward after he’s done something kind for you (most likely in an attempt to get a hug from you).

Skekayuk

- Skekayuk is the gourmand of the Skeksis so hes more often than not found eating or drinking. He’d happily explain to you how you properly eat certain gourmet Skeksis dishes if for no other reason than to have the excuse to eat more in an attempt to “show you how it’s done”. If you like food, you’ll like him and he’ll like you.

- Hes honestly quite jovial, a bit crude but entertaining to be around. If/when you earn a place at the Skeksis table you might wish to sit near him which would make him puff up in pride (and make the others jealous).

- He’ll be the first to notice if somethings upset you, mostly because he’ll notice all the food left on your plate. Upon noticing he will; as nicely and quietly as a Skeksis can, ask what’s the matter while offering you some more ale in an attempt to lighten your spirits.

- Whenever new shipments of food arrive he’ll be the first to know and the first to eagerly tell you as he urges you to come with him to the kitchen.

Skekekt

- Oh, so the Skeksis have a new doll. How nice! You’ll be dressed up in the finest they can find, there’s no way they would allow you to sit around in such drab unskeksis-like clothing.

- He’s a Skeksis of culture: theater, music, art, fashion, whichever you enjoy he would love to speak to you about. You could have hour long conversations and never tire of his company.

Skekzok

- He often enlists your help to prepare and perform his rituals, he believes you’re more capable than the podlings when handling such intricate tasks.

- He enjoys dark jokes, if you have a dark sense of humor you’ll get along well and he’ll welcome you to join him wherever he goes. You’re a great source of entertainment for him.

Romantic SkekMal headcanons

(Not my gif)(Requested by anonymous; hopefully this is what you were expecting. I might add more later when I rewatch the series.)

- Okay let’s be real skekmal isn’t romantic; he’s a coolblooded butcher who barely has a heart and has only truly been interested in slaughtering things and collecting them as trophies. You were almost met with the same fate when you came across him while trekking deep within a forest.

- You hadn’t been paying attention to your surroundings, not noticing the sounds all around you although that isn’t exactly your fault; even if you were trying to listen for something you probably wouldn’t even hear him. All of a sudden you saw a streak colors and you were thrown to the floor; you scrambled, crawling backwards while looking at the attacker who loomed wickedly over you. You had heard stories of him; everyone had, but none of them compared to the real thing.

- His eyes ran over you; not Gelfling, Podling, definitely not Gruenak, so what then? Had he been hidden among the trees for so long that a new species was created right under his nose? He took a calculated step forward and you crawled back some more, nervous, afraid-no... terrified, oh how fun.

- You had pleaded then, hands shooting up, halting him even though he’d usually ignore such pathetic gestures. It was interesting hearing you speak, voice soft, a tremor running through your words. You had a family, like he cared? Did you really think that would stop him, the only thing stopping him was your intriguing appearance.

- It’s because you’re so interesting that he decides to “keep you”. You find yourself being dragged to your feet and hoisted over his shoulder as he makes his way back to his campsite. 

- You’re practically his trophy pet, a beautifully interesting capture of his that proves his excellence and skills. So basically you’re a prisoner kept locked away from the rest of the world and always in his line of sight to make sure you can’t escape. And for a while that’s all you are; that is until he begins to find you more and more attractive.

- He begins taking note of different qualities of yours he enjoys as well as the seemingly pointless yet endearing hobbies you’ve been able to keep up with while being with him. Soon enough he sees you as more of a companion then a trophy.

- He won’t outright make it clear that you’re now together but chances are he’s snuck in some Skeksis courting rituals while interacting with you; none of which you understand nor pay any mind to, so in his eyes since you hadn’t objected and just obliviously went along with them you are now his.

- Even though he doesn’t make your relationship clear he will get fiercely angry if you show interest in another or if he’s ever been around to see someone attempt to flirt with you. You’ve almost gotten a few people killed before you realized that SkekMal was trying to or had already been courting you without your knowledge.

- Chances are you were made fully aware of the predicament you were in because of his jealously. Someone had been flirting with you while you passed through a town with him which you were quite enjoying until Skekmal nearly tore their limbs from their body. When you rightfully got upset by his reaction and demanded an explanation for his behavior while he roughly dragged you away he had roared about all that he viewed as you accepting his courtship.

“YOU AGREED! YOU SLEPT IN THE BED! YOU USED THE DAGGER! YOU ARE MINE!” (I’m improvising, perhaps I’ll make a skeksis courting rituals headcanons later)

- You’re stunned into silence and he snaps his mouth shut as he studies your oddly quiet behavior, his head tilting to the side. He’s quite confused as to why you’re suddenly not attempting to yell at him.

“I’ve... I’ve agreed to be yours?” You all but whisper.

“...indeed.” And a silence falls over you two, fairly uncharacteristic for the violent creature before you.

- From then on you have a sort of unspoken relationship.

- He’s fairly temperamental; one moment he’s calm, might even tough you gently, nuzzle his face into your neck, the next he’s a flash of red hot anger or a swirl of confusion and mixed emotions, storming off and disappearing for hours.

- He gets aggravated without your presence. He never would have imagined that he would rely on another being in any way but whenever you’re gone he realizes just how much he genuinely craves your company or just being able to come back to you after hunting.

- You’re probably the one to introduce him to actual good tasting food, like homie survives on jerky and mud water 90% of the time so anything you make is delicious compared to his usual meals.

- Rough grips around your wrist, whether it be to bring you somewhere or pull you close to speak into your ear. His touch by nature is not gentle so really any time his hands are on you it’s going to be rough.

- He watches you while you sleep and once he knows you’ve fallen into a deep slumber he’ll sometimes stalks towards the bed and sit on the edge, inspecting you more closely. Occasionally he’ll drag his hands across your skin and marvel at the smoothness or curl up next to you listening to your breathing; not quite cuddling with you but not too far from you.

- Jealousy and possessiveness obviously, you’re his trophy, you’re his and his alone. Thra have mercy on anyone who dares even think about taking you away from him.

- He’ll often mark you to show his territory to others whether it be with a nip or scratch of his claws. Rumors spread and soon enough its well known that the Hunters “wife/husband” will have a certain mark on them. This also ensures you aren’t very welcome in any city if you ever try to run from him. 

- Of course you don’t look like a Skeksis so many are very confused as to why SkekMal has seemingly claimed you, particularly the other Skeksis when they find out. They can’t deny you’re interesting but they would never imagine courting something so “lowly”.

- Obviously he likes a good hunt so just try to run from him or storm off when you’re angry or fed up, it won’t take him long to find you again and when he does he’ll certainly be quite excited/amused. 

- Occasionally you’ll just play an innocent game of hide and seek just to “warm him up” when he’s about to go off on a serious hunt.

- You receive little trinkets or gifts often bones or weapons, things like that. He’s heard that you’re supposed to give your significant other gifts and even though he doesn’t quite understand the sentiment he gives it a try. He’s never around when you find the gifts  but you can be sure he’s watching you from somewhere you can’t see. 

- He gets a swell of pride he can’t exactly explain when he sees that you like said gift or finds it placed somewhere special.

- Sometimes he just picks you up and carries you under his arm when he feels like you’re moving too slow for his tastes or won’t comply with his decisions.

- Quiet campfires; he doesn’t speak very often unless you ask him something and even then he will sometimes not answer deciding to leave you guessing. Occasionally you’ll manage to get him to tell some of the stories of his hunts and you can watch him a bit nervously as he animatedly describes a fairly horrendous series of events that include gruesome murders.

-You have to have a tough stomach if you’re going to be around him, he’s a savage and gruesome killer. He finds no reason for you to be disgusted in seeing guts or entrails and he certainly wont understand why you’re acting so squeamish but if you are more weak hearted then he’ll make an effort not to turn up to your camp covered with or carrying somethings insides.

- Hes not great at accepting compliments that don’t pertain to his hunting skills, he’ll most likely tell you to keep quiet all the while his heart slowly begins to stir inside his chest.

- He’ll silently patch you up whenever you get hurt. It’s interesting seeing him so focused and quiet; no telling you how foolish you’ve been or anything, just his rough yet attempted gentle touch. 

- Hearing the incessant sharpening of his blades especially when he’s in a mood. Occasionally he’ll let you hold his weapons usually after some persuading on your side. His face softens while he observes you although you’re usually too focused on the blade in your hand to notice. If you’re lucky you’ll look up just in time to notice, if you ask him why he’s looking at you like that he’ll just shake his head and look away.

Gurjin x Kylan headcanons

(Requested via message; I hope this is what you were looking for!)(The SkekMal headcanons are up next dont worry)

- It all started when Gurjin was able to get a good long look at the Kylan while the group was sitting at a campfire. He just sort of absentmindedly thought ‘well he’s a handsome lad’, not thinking anything of it before he became increasingly aware of his growing crush on the Spriton boy. It only takes like two days for him to completely fall in love; it’s almost funny considering he wasn’t really aware of his presence before then.

- It’s pretty hard not to notice Gurjin considering he’s like a head taller then everyone else so Kylan was always aware of his presence in the group. Not long after their first meeting Kylan begins to notice his eyes impulsively drifting over to the boy and his heart growing faster whenever he was around and realizes that he has a crush on him. There’s much more of a build up whenever Kylan is falling for someone, his feelings develop over a much longer period of time.

- Kylan has to gulp and avert his eyes whenever he sees Gurjin training. It doesn’t ever outwardly look like he’s flustered but believe me he is.

- Gurjin is definitely the one who courts Kylan; he’s much more bold and Kylans far too shy and reserved to do so himself.

- Gurjins the stupid jock boyfriend and Kylan’s the band nerd.

- Gurjin just loves listening to Kylan sing or play his firca. He gets this adorable dreamy look on his face and sighs wistfully whenever he listens.

- Kylan has to stand on his tippy toes to kiss Gurjin and it’s the cutest thing Gurjin has ever seen even though he’ll tease the Spriton about it.

- Gurjin always kisses Kylans forehead or the top of his head when he’s in a rush because it’s the part of him he can reach the easiest.

- Gurjin has tried to teach Kylan how to use a sword but Kylan always loses focus because he’s too distracted by the way the Drenchen boy is moving.

- Kylan always has some food cooked/saved for Gurjin when he’s finished training.

- They would keep it a secret for a while but only because Gurjin tore Rian apart for being so soft with Mira and he’s not prepared to face the merciless teasing Rian will give him when he sees the way Gurjins looks at Kylan with the added knowledge that they are together.

- Only Deet knows about their relationship for a long time and that’s because she’s got an advanced gaydar that can sense this type of thing from miles away. Plus she’s like a seer for gay relationships, she can always tell whose gonna get together with who. She just. Always. Knows.

- Kylan always fondly yet exasperatedly takes care of Gurjin whenever he has too much ale. (Usually after trying to outdrink someone; usually Rian who ends up equally as intoxicated)

- Gurjin likes playing with Kylans hair since his has pretty much always been in dreads. He admires how effortlessly soft and silky it is. Kylan always chuckles and asks ‘isn’t your hair more interesting then mine?’.

- Gurjin always stays by Kylan whenever they’re traveling to ensure he’s okay and protected at all times. He’s sure the boy could protect himself if worse comes to worse but he always feels better having him in his sights.

- Both of them like to lay together and gaze up at the stars talking about the tales of thra and what the future holds.

- Both of them always do what they believe is right no matter what which can of course lead to some arguments but they’re easily resolved once the better decision is made clear. Neither of them are ever afraid to apologize either.

- When Naia finds out about their relationship she probably threatens Gurjin instead of Kylan because as much as she loves her brother she also knows Kylan is an innocent angel incapable of hurting anyone or accurately swinging a sword 90% of the time.

Living with SkekGra and UrGoh

- You most likely met the two after getting lost in the desert and just happening across their home. You’re kneeling on the rocks in front of their home trying to catch your breath after climbing the cliff when all of a sudden the pieces of cloth start to rustle and a massive shadow looms over you.

“COULD IT BE! I SWEAR I HEARD! IT IS! A VISITOR! I KNEW ONE OF THESE TRINES WOULD BRING ONE TO US! YOU ARE A LONG WAY FROM THE REST OF THE WORLD CHILD! A LONG WAY INDEED! WELCOME! WELCOME! I AM SKEKGRA!”

- You nearly jump out of your skin, upon hearing his yells and seeing him shove the curtains aside for his grand entrance. At first you’re definitely unnerved upon meeting him or at the very least uncomfortably confused. He’s a lot to take in for anybody.

- You don’t quite know what to say anytime he opens his mouth but you try your best and finally get to a point where you inform him of your situation. He very quickly takes pity on you or at least the Skeksis equivalent of pity which is not quite feeling sorry but instead very bluntly coming up with the solution that they deem is best.

- “WELL IF YOU ARE LOST THEN YOU SHALL STAY WITH US! COME! COME! COME INSIDE! THE SUN WILL BEGIN TO SET SOON!” Before you can even say another word he is ushering you inside with an aged, clawed hand.

- His immediate response to your story is just adopting you on the spot.

- You grow far more comfortable when meeting UrGoh and realizing that you will not be stuck with just SkekGra who still slightly scares you regardless of how nice he is.

- For a while they give you half concocted reasons as to why you shouldn’t leave just yet, after a while you realize they merely want you to stay longer so one night you ask if they’d like you to stay permanently. They dance around just how much they want you to, not wanting to pressure you into doing anything but obviously very much so wanting you to do just that.

- SkekGras so welcoming and upbeat, you feel bubbly and happy just being around him. You’re never uncomfortable.

- Hearing manic laughter and cackling at odd hours. You’ll be about to fall asleep, listening to the wind blow outside your walls when all of a sudden “AHAHAHAHA”.

- Hiding your snickers when UrGoh purposefully speaks slowly to get on SkekGra’s nerves. Sometimes SkekGra will force you to speak for UrGoh when he’s feeling particularly antsy and hyper or when UrGoh is feeling particularly “cruel” and torments him with his slow words.

- “I NEED MORE RED PAINT.”

- You’re constantly tasked with getting craft supplies; or any supplies really, from around Thra. You can’t say no (even if they don’t really need said supplies) or else SkekGra will have a tantrum like a spoiled kid pumped full of candy and cocaine all the while ranting about how he was a mighty conqueror once and how you would have trembled before him. It’s basically the equivalent of an old man ranting how kids “now a days” have no respect.

- SkekGra really can’t stand when things don’t go his way so more often then not you just have to put up with him and his plans.

- You always get front row seats to their puppet shows/rehearsals.

- If you have any creative talent you are automatically apart of the puppet squad. You have no choice.

- Dealing with SkekGras impatience and trying to get him to calm down when he gets all frantic.

- Urgoh loves hearing whenever you’re interested in something or being shown the things you make even if he doesn’t quite show it. He tries to in his own way, usually with a monotone and slow ‘yay’ and other similar things.

- SkekGra has definitely dressed you up and treated you as his own personal creative expression doll. You don’t mind much since he always seems so happy when he does so and you get a glimpse into the intricate layers and types of Skeksis fashion.

- Both would love to tell you stories of the time they were one and the separate lives they’ve lived after they were split apart, especially SkekGra. He enjoys the look of interest and amazement on your face when he recounts tales of his battles and the kingdom he used to live in.

- He just loves to be praised and looked up to. If you were to tell him you admired him or something along those lines he would gush to UrGoh for days. “DID YOU HEAR THAT THEY ADMIRE ME! ME! URGOH! I AM ADMIRABLE! HAHAHA!”

- It’s very hard to decide who gives the best hugs but we all know it’s probably UrGoh because of all his arms and the fact that he’s much more sturdier then SkekGra. Although hugging SkekGra is like hugging a very enthusiastic curtain and that’s fun too.

- Listening to jokes that only SkekGra really finds funny although occasionally you do chuckle at just how outlandish and odd they are. He doesn’t quite understand what humor really is or at least only knows the Skeksis sense of humor which is vastly different from every other creatures.

- During sandstorms you’ll often find SkekGra or UrGoh lingering near you. UrGoh will sort of just stay near where you are and do his own thing, not making a big deal of it just being a comforting presence to assure you that you aren’t alone. SkekGra pretty much just copies UrGoh in his own eccentric and warped way of doing things.

- For a while it was only UrGoh “comforting” you but after SkekGra observes him doing so a couple times he bluntly (and loudly) asks why he does it (most likely while you can still sort of hear them) and upon receiving the answer “To make sure they are not afraid” he begins to do it himself.

- SkekGra will sort of stalk you for a while after you begin to stay with them, staring from around corners and most likely frightening you a few times. He just sort of pops up in your field of view while you’re distracted by something and gives you a bit of a shock. It’s kind of like he’s studying you in fact that’s most likely what’s going on; it’s been a while since he’s had someone new around and is interested in how you act especially when he’s bored and has nothing else to do.

- Listening to SkekGras poems and UrGohs different sayings (you aren’t quite sure if they actually mean anything or are sayings at all).

- “Family” dinners. SkekGra is a very messy eater by nature.
