Here’s an update on the peacock. Someone asked me if the bird went past the border. As you can see, it doesn’t. There are some trees in the background and there will be grass at the bottom

This is the last, large unfinished project I have, Peacock Tapestry by Teresa Wentzler. It’s been sitting in my stash closet for a few years now. Hopefully it will be finished now. I love the color palette, but the mixed color threads, not so much.

It’s done! Who knows how many digits of pi. All that’s left is signing and framing.

I’ve been working hard on finishing pi so hopefully I can post that soon. In the meantime, here’s an old one. This is “Something Old, Something New”, by Paula Vaughn. I started it before I met my husband and finished it with our wedding date on it

Been really busy acclimating to a new job so I haven’t had a lot of time for stitching. So here’s another old project. This was a gift for my daughters daycare provider when she “graduated”. I adapted it from a pattern in the magazine Inspirations.

Finished this a couple weeks ago and forgot to post it. The Solvy worked great and was easy to remove. Just have to sign it and get it framed.

In honor of pi day, here is an update on my pi project. It won’t be done for tomorrow’s celebration, but probably by 2pi day (June 28). Happy pi day to everyone!

Not that I don’t have plenty other projects to work on, but I started a new one. My first time using Solvy and it is a miracle! I was having a hard time transferring my pattern to this dark green fabric and all the methods I tried failed. Then I remembered I had some Fabri-Solvy. I just copied the design onto it and pinned it in the place I wanted it. The stitching goes right through it and when you’re done, the Solvy dissolves away with water leaving the stitching behind.
