Is it normal to feel weird or upset about not looking like your linktype? Like this isn’t what I look like. This isn’t what I’m supposed to look like. The face in the mirror isn’t mine.
i believe so!!

I miss my best friend from my media so much but I never knew him. But he loves me so much in our media and it’s comforting to imagine finding him here and him loving me the same.
Not really meant to be a vent I’m just being sappy :(

otherlink culture is having short hair (how people would describe a “boy haircut” short) but you were in your own little world and tried to tie your hair up because your link has long hair :’)

otherlink culture is shipping your links with other characters because you think they’d be cute in a relationship while never having any f/os because you hate the idea of being in a romantic situation/relationship :p (it’s for the plot xd)

Hi, this isn't a culture is ask but I can't find anywhere else to really ask this. I was wondering if you could explain how otherlinks work, like I know that they are voluntary/chosen alterhuman identities but I still don't get how it works. To give a specific example if I wanted to be a doll-link and a pallas cat link how would I go about doing so? I've been wondering about being otherlink/copinglink for a while but just can't find any detailed explanation as to how it all works 😅 You can ignore this if you want, I know this isn't really what the blog is for but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask since I can't find anywhere else
i'm feeling awfully sick right now so i can't answer this to the best of my ability but here's a few links u can refer to, instead; fandom, the chordata guide (< read this first), and the copinglinking subreddit !

Is there a term for having a kinsona but instead of kinning, it’s about c-linking? Or does that technically still fall under “kinsona”?
I thought Linksona but that just sounds like it’s related to TLoZ, so I raise Clinksona or Copesona
clinksona sounds good to me, personally, and i totally agree regarding the tloz one JSJJSKDS, coining terms for c-linking is a constant battle with link, actually

non-fiction c'link culture is being scared to tell others who your link type is because you're afraid they would judge you, since the few that are c'linkers as well only link with fictional characters.

Copinglink culture is taking on your first linktype (Spinel) because you don't want a headmate to feel lonely since she was the only one from her source :>

otherlink culture is having to ask yourself “will this link help me with my deep rooted generational trauma or am I just feeling silly?” whenever you get a new link

Hey, this isn’t a “culture is” thing but I have a question. I’m relatively new to
clinking openly so forgive me if this is a bit silly. But is it normal to refer to your link with first person pronouns? Like for example instead of saying “him and them” (“him” being my link and “them” being someone else from the media), saying “me and them”
I personally associate that more with stuff like irls or fictives and am worried about doing it if that language isn’t meant for me
Hi anon!! Personally I do the same. I’m a singlet and don’t experience irls so it’s not my place to dictate whether clinkers like us are allowed to use that kind of language, tho. I’m sure someone who is more knowledgable about this subject can answer more indepthly TT but from my experience, it’s normal.
