Denali - I was so honoured and stunned when I found out that Emil had chosen this piece as the inside cover art!🥹

Bearded Seals - the very best part of this zine was learning about these cool guys, which are the biggest seals in the arctic! (Walruses, although also pinnipeds, are not seals, and leopard seals only live in the southern hemisphere, endemic to Antartica.)

What kind of brushed and programs do you use to draw?

I am nuts and I alternate between Clip Studio Paint and Procreate, the locker Prowl was drawn in MS Paint and I also do a lot of mixed media (traditional art touched up digitally)

I am a brush Fiend so I also alternate a lot between brushes if you're looking for a specific one you'll have to direct me to a specific drawing because I use waaayy too many

CSP brushes, I have two main ones

For Procreate, I am the Brush Final Boss, i hoard brushes like a dragon hoards gold, here are the main ones I use

Been obsessed with the Gombee brush from this brushpack recently ! It has this rough dotty feel, I love it

This one is also one of my favs, I use it a ton ! I customized a Syrup brush to give it a lot of texture

Also been using this one a lot, it's a custom brush made out of my TF oc's head silhouette

And where would I be without my beloved grain brushes ? I use them for all my backgrounds, gradients and highlights + halftone + grit brushes

This is all done with the lasso tool and grain brushes from this set

the dirty specks and details are from True Grit Supply's Procreate Texture Bundle

I do a ton mixed media as well

the lines are all traditionally done with a thin tipped sharpie, colors are done with highlighters and digitally corrected with the multiply layer and then layered on top with a paper texture + more gritty details from True Grit Supply's Procreate texture brushes again

My traditional tools are not as fancy, it's legit just all stuff I found on the ground

I was also recently gifted a ton of arteza watercolor brushes so I've been trying to utilize those as well, they're very fun !!

overall consensus, I do everything and strike fear into the hearts of many with my artistic process

This is 100% how I believe very young seekerlings are regarding fuel haha.

Just squeaking nonstop super noisily for food then as soon as their fuel tank status has been positively changed they're snuggly little blobs happy to cuddle with their siblings/creation trine again (at least until they burn through the fuel three joors later and loudly demand more.)

And somewhere in between fueling and napping they climb all over their ridiculously tolerant carrier like he's their personal playground equipment.

This is why if I ever magically become able to adopt a horse I want to adopt two Canadian wildies or a mustang - because they'd be the ultimate trail buddies!

My fic RISE UP has updated, (last week, hopefully that's enough time for this not to be too spoilery,) so I decided to make an attempt at drawing a neonate seekerling Sunstorm sittin' in a cube 'cus he's that tiny. Basically, he's the size of a fully grown - albeit somewhat vertically challenged - human in comparison to an adult seeker.

Sunstorm's claws are supposed to be transparent 'cus of his newness but I was not really into the extra work of trying to portray that properly in cell colour after the cube. Also he can't retract them yet, so Starscream gets to be tortured by how hideously sharp they are for several vorns! (Not that he will notice but his trine sure will.)

(Please note that RISE UP contains mature themes of a graphic nature including war - complete with war details, concentration camps, murder, assassination, and scenes of explicit nature. Read the tags before reading the story!)

I also headcanon seekers as digitigrade because I come from a biology nerd background and digitigrade leggies make a whole lot more sense for a life form that has a need to thrust itself powerfully skyward. Digitigrade legs are more nimble with a whole lot more pushing power than plantigrade legs and honestly the fact that IDW Whirl has digitigrade legs is one of the reasons why I love that deadly helicopter man!

Also toes, because toes are pretty critical for balance on rough terrain; pay attention to yours sometime as you are walking around your home or hiking and you'll see what I mean. And putting big, non-retractable claws on those toes also just flatout makes sense for an aerial being, because they would doubly need the security of grip.

I kinda also prefer designing aliens that look less humanoid, because all the humany aliens in Star Wars for example make no sense to me from a biological perspective. 😅

Also fun fact I only discovered while colouring this that Sunstorm has white points, for some reason I never noticed that before lol so I had to go back and edit the story to reflect his proper colours, whoops!
