been avoiding writing this cause i don’t want to do it but i have to ): you probably already know what’s coming, i will be dropping from the roleplay because i am taking 7 classes / 21 credits and i have to focus on school, i have to make it my priority you know? so i will dropping from viva but don’t worry it’s not permanent !! hopefully i can be back once i get my footing around my schedule, it’s just my first week and i already have tonsss of homework but hopefully around the middle of the semester things slow down and you’ll see me back !! so for the people i had plots with- don’t celebrate you haven’t gotten rid of me yet ;) i’m like a virus hehe 

where am i going with this? i dunno, i always ramble on these things. i will miss you guys so much !! you’re all such great writers you’ve pushed me to become a less mediocre one with your beautiful replies !! even the ones i couldn’t write with- i ogled still !! as cheesy as it sounds this is not a goodbye just a see you later, cause let’s be real i’m already thinking of a new character -.- it’s an addiction i can’t help it !

    The expression that came from Cordelia with Hazel’s suggestion to divide up the drug dealers let her know that she might have hit a nerve. “I know you have. You’ve done a great job.” Hazel replied kindly, “-but I’m happy to help too. You don’t have to do all of it alone anymore. Of course you can take the dealers.” Hazel nodded. She trusted the brunette. It was her investigation after all.  “I’m just brainstorming. They’d have files and all kinds of access. I know they’re pretty unsavory characters, but it couldn’t hurt.”

     At Hazel’s kindness, Cordelia seemed to snap away from her earlier negativity. “No, I’m sorry. It’s just in my old job they used to give dumb things because, well.” She hedged, “it doesn’t matter.” The Brit clasped her hands on the table and nodded with the other. “You’re right, you have good judgement and you’ve been in this city longer. So if this is what you think should be the next step, then I say let’s go for it.”

Jonny could tell how excited his friend was at the idea of taking him back with her to see her home. The idea warmed his heart. He could see the excitement behind her eyes and honestly, he’d love to go on an adventure like that. “I would so love that. All the history there and plus I’d love to see where you grew up.” He smiled at her, his arm around her shoulders so they could remain close. “Well if your parents are anything like you I’m sure I’d adore them, too.” He laughed at the idea of butt plugs for modern art being a trend but he also loved the idea. “I say we both do it. It’ll be the new thing and for us it’ll just be an inside joke.” Jonny stopped at one of the large tanks. A huge school of fish rushed past the glass making his eyes go wide. “Okay that was awesome. –And oh.” He laughed, realizing how out of place that sounded. “My best friend has these turtles and they’re like his babies. I just think it would be funny because I could be like ‘hey look they found a friend’ and he’d probably just leave it there because he’s chill like that.”

     The Brit was practically jumping in place with excitement. “I still haven’t bought my ticket yet, which my parents keep nagging me about.” She emphasized this statement with a playful roll of her eyes. “We can build like an itinerary so we can use up all our time wisely. I’ll show around the museums, which Mum can come along with us. Did I ever tell you she works at the British Museum? Well she does, and Dad’s a professor so he’ll probably ramble on about Dante’s Inferno--just ignore him, he shuts up soon enough.” Then realizing she was rambling in that same manner, chuckled bashfully. “Sorry, I just got a tad excited. You’re too kind, love. But I do promise that my parents are as crazy as me.” Cordelia assured with a grin. “Count me in, then!” The journalist clutched his arm in surprise as the animals swam past them before bursting into giggles. “It was. Oh? I think that would be really sweet and cute.” She waited a few beats before her curiosity took over. “So who is this guy? And do I get to meet him?”

    Hazel nodded, relieved. If word got out to the wrong person that they’d been doing some digging it would only be a matter of time before they were in some kind of trouble. “I know a couple of them socially. I’ve been covering the local political beat for a while and it all kind of runs in the same circles. I’ll see what I can get my hands on. Are you sure you’re willing to take them on? It’s not easy stuff. It might be easiest if we divide them up, even.” She sighed inwardly, casting her eyes over the files. This was only just the beginning. “Maybe if we try and crack some associates.. they’ve got to have some big business partners downtown. There are a few criminal defense attorneys downtown who must have some idea about what goes on here. I’d imagine they’d even be worth chatting to if it was something you would be interested in trying.”

     Cordelia understood the measures they had to take to make this investigation as safely as possible. They were about to be on the radar of dangerous people, so discretion was at the utmost importance. At the suggestion of dividing them up, the Brit couldn’t help but feel the same indignation she felt back in the UK. She was sure Hazel said it in a logical manner but she couldn’t help but feel everyone was always underestimating her. “I’m sure I’m willing, if not I wouldn’t have volunteered. I can do this, I’ve gotten this far.” Cordelia gestured to the files with a serious expression. “We can just take this one step at a time. Attorneys? You mean volunteer to talk to the people that set this criminals free? Okay, but I won’t promise that I’ll be civil.”

he chuckled, giving her the thumbs up in approval. “you’re gonna really give us a huge boost. plus, it’ll be hella fun!” tyler linked arms with her and pulled her further into the museum. “okay how do we do this? by city? by timeline? i’m kinda feelin’ regional. i wanna see the gangs of new york. i’m from there, y’know. we all are. make sure you mention that somewhere in your articles.”

     Cordelia’s cheeks warmed at the subtle compliment. “Oh you’re too kind. I-I-don’t have that big of a following. I’m just an independent journalist.” She gave a mild shrug to emphasize the casualness of the job. The Brit let herself be pulled along happily by Tae. “You are? That’s so amazing! Don’t worry I’ll make sure to put every single detail, like even, what you ate for breakfast.” She said with a laugh in a teasing manner. “We can do it by city? I’ll even take my polaroid so we can photographic evidence!”

Snapping the compact shut, Mari was very aware that it was late and the crowds of club goers were becoming slim. While her club was almost always full, after New Years there was always a lull in activity. New Year, New me. They weren’t coming back to her cesspit of depravity. Until they did, 3 weeks later and twitching with with drawl symptoms. Mari smirked to herself and slipped the mirror back into her purse before heading of in the opposite direction of where she came. Spying a lone person on the corner Mari slowed before stopping beside them. “You look lonely.” She said, voice smooth and sweet as honey. “Maybe we could change that.”

     Cordelia wasn’t sure what her made enter the club, a curiosity that was so feverish it lead to dangerous ends, or an interest lying beneath the skin she couldn’t quite understand. But amidst the partygoers, the journalist couldn’t quite help but feel out of place and entirely out of her element. The Brit’s gaze hungrily took in every detail, maybe she could do some kind of story on the club or its owner? She would have to talk around and see if any editors held an interest in the subject matter, it would definitely be something different for her. Certainly an article her parents would have no chance at reading, not that they read all her works, that would put them in eternal worry. Hazel gaze looked up at the woman walking towards her, “oh don’t fret, I’m fine. I was just thinking of leaving actually.” She chuckled nervously.

he posed for a photo in front of the gangster, matching the historic figure’s pose. then he relaxed, eyes twinkling with glee. “yeah! i’m completely serious! i don’t think i can officially get you on the tour bus between shows, but if you follow us, i’ll make sure you get back stage access and every thing. i’ll even pitch in gas money and stuff so you can follow us.”

     After taking the photo, Cordelia walked towards Tyler with her phone towards him to show the picture that was taken. “Wow, that’s more than I can ever hope for, really.” She said, excitement evident in her voice. The journalist gnawed on her lip for a minute, “I’d have to take the other articles on hold, but I can totally do that. That be really great, thanks Tae. Let’s go on and see the rest!”
