Hey y'all, might be a lil late on this, but HAPPY PRIDEEEE!

I'm proud of you for existing, even when it gets hard to! Be proud of what you are and for simply making it here, identity is built brick by brick through the passage of time. I'm happy you're here placing those bricks down with us.

Auditions for Coretown are officially closed!

Thank you to everyone who has auditioned, I can't wait to listen to all of them! I have gotten so many more auditions than I thought I would and this has been absolutely wondrous to see grow.

My current plan for casting is to finalize the cast in 4-5 weeks, but it may take longer or shorter. Within these next couple weeks I may email some of you with some questions on what you're comfortable with, if you'd be able to audition for a different role, or if you could redo with a different direction.

Real quick, I want to make clear that NOT getting an email like this doesn't mean you weren't accepted and also by getting this type of email doesn't mean you are accepted.

All in all, just please be patient with me as I get all this cleaned up and sorted out! :D

We are finally at the last hour of which auditions will be open!! Are we getting any final last minute audition in perhaps? One more hour to get your auditions in!!!

You all have till 11:59 pm EST tomorrow to be able to get those final submissions in! Then auditions will close and the casting process will begin!!

Coretown character-casting spotlight: The Owl!

"There is magic to be found in stories."

The Owl, an owl-masked librarian, is what people would describe "a little much". In their elderly(?) age they live life learning as much as they can, looking at life with much wonder. They enjoy ranting on whatever they've newly read. Their library is often ringing an unseen windchime, and everyone who enters always feels oddly calm and in peace. A pleasant place.

Coretown character-casting spotlight: The Mouse!

"That thing isn't human, it isn't me, I'm human."

The Mouse, one of the masked in the town, is what people would describe as private. They keep to their own projects, have their own hidden objective. They seem to have been working on something deep in the forest.

Coretown character-casting spotlight: Mouse!

"It doesn't want to hurt you, it just doesn't know how not to."

Mouse, a wandering child, is what many would note as odd. They speak in the third-person, their mask doesn't seem to fit right. Even with the mask they are very visibly timid and afraid, a bit squeaky as well(pun not intended). They hear and speak of something g̴̢̦̫̬̈́͌ŗ̶͔̓̈́̇͝ȇ̴̬̜ȁ̷̞͈͍̫t̸̢̉̀ë̵̯́͜r̸̲͋͐ in the town, something under.

The Deer, one of the masked individuals in the town that seems to have an oddly keen interest in Jayce, is what Jayce would describe as unnervingly joyous. They lead with such passion and conviction in their beliefs that people can't help but feel moved by them.

"The safest way to live is to give a big smile and go on with life."

Claire Harper, Head of Maintenance as well as the receptionist, is what many would describe as overly fake-cheery. They often deal with complaining residents, complaints that go through one ear and out the other. Their ideology consist of just surviving day-to-day life.

Coretown character-casting spotlight: Bill Harrison!

"This is my hotel. Mine."

Bill Harrison, Head of Security, is what many would describe as dependable. Their job is to protect the residents of the Heart Haven Hotel. Recently however, people have been noticing how "on edge" Bill is. Looking over their shoulder, staying a bit too vigilant, a bit too frayed with exhaustion.

"There isn't a pattern, no reason, only entropy."

Finn Young, a Junior Scientist, is what many would describe as a cautious person, for both themselves and Alice. They are easily distressed at every inconvenience, which makes their companionship with Alice odd.
