Bloom x Corrine Cueto
I painted this for Nadine.
She must always have flowers.
Plus, she just started in a new company.
Most relaxed painting I have done.

This quick sketch inspired by Frida Kahlo's words, and the rainy skyline.
"I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought, there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it's true I'm here, and I'm just as strange as you."
Check out my black & white Instagram account.
Good night! x

Here's a close up of a portrait I did for Hanan's daughter, Adora.
The story behind this is, a month ago, I received an email from Hanan Levin. It read:
"Would you be interested to participate in my new art project?
Three years ago (at age 56) I had my first child. Last year I started commissioning artists from all over the world to create unique work based on photographs of my cute baby daughter.
550+ diverse pieces had been published so far on her blog. The Art portion is here: growabrain.tumblr.com/tagged/Adora_Art/ and I add a new & different entry to it every other day."
Hanan had an extensive wishlist of Adora portraits-to-be, and as I browsed through his list and saw the ventriloquist wish, I thought, "No one will pick this!", so, I did.
Learn more about Hanan's project and Adora's 1000 portraits here:

Filipinas
I made this a few years ago and stumbled upon it today.
Is it me or does the blue ribbon at the right bottom side look like the digestive track of a human? Haha!

True story: Some few weeks ago, Patricia, Aliah, and I started making beer.
Now, we're just waiting for it to get done [brewing]. HAHA.
Anyhoo, this is the poster I made for ittt.
That home brewed backyard beer better be worth the wait (blood, sweat, and muscles)! Hahaha. How many weeks more?

Midnight Swim
by Corrine Cueto
A midnight swim is what I’m needing
A careless whim, a fast from feeding
I take to the deep when the last sentinel’s asleep
Gotta break out and find what the day left behind
So into blue begin ink ark
Luminous, you truant spark

Dear Artists,
I am Corrine Cueto and I own a start up company in Manila called Creative Slate Populace, Inc. We are a company involved in the creation and manufacture of products that showcase artistic and independent works from different people. Our flagship product is the Slate Planner.
The Slate Planner caters to an exploratory, open, and creative mind, having different designs per month, with a dashboard that contains write-ups also unique to the theme of the month it belongs to. This same vehicle is also an avenue to showcase local and international talents in the visual, literary, musical, and even culinary arts.
The Slate 2012 Planner featured several works of art from people all over. To be the channel that shared excellent work to the world was such an exhilarating honor!
The Slate Team was so impressed by the entries, so for our 2013 planner, I would personally like to invite you to be part of this continuous sharing of creative passions.
If you’re interested to have your works featured, whether they are literary or visual, send them over! There’s no age limit. If you’re 5, reading this and have a sketchbook full of quality works, please send some over, and we’d love to share them with everyone!
Head on to http://slateplanner.com/2012/07/24/sl...-extended/ for detailed information on how to contribute and get featured! :D
All the best and thanks,
Corrine

A Birthday Spacetacle!
On my 7th birthday, I both wanted Space and Underwater Adventure as themes for my birthday but I could only choose one. So, I chose the Cowboy theme.
But oh golly it would have been spacetacular to have Space and Underwater at the same time! Wouldn't it?
