Update + Fanfic
Um, so, it's been a while huh? Sorry, I've actually been wanting to do a ton more analysis. And- guess what- I have! Just- for university, and if i publish that here I'll dox myself- so?
If you're curious about what non-academic stuff I've been writing, take a look at my fanfiction I guess? It gets into themes of authoritarianism and collective action. It was originally an Owl House what if that got waaay out of hand, lmao.

Trans Women in Prison Are Being Moved to Men's Facilities (US Politics)
So first of all- fuck prisons, and fuck cops- they need to be abolished. Just wanted to make that REALLY clear.
Regardless- we need to know about this- in accordance with Trump's general gender essentialist executive orders, federal prisons have been ordered to prepare to move trans women to facilities with men. This is obviously an issue due to a generally increased risk of assault, regardless of transition, that trans people suffer. There are no orders or regulations being put in place for their safety.
To be clear: this is entirely in line with the fascist machine. I know thats not what some of you want to hear, but its what you need to hear. All the shit they've done over the years have been stopgaps- these people are still in prison- under a coercive fascist system which threatens us if we don't sell our labor for food and shelter. We need to get our shit together. We need to speak out.
Harm reduction, there's a lot we need to do in the long run but we also need to also try to reduce harm where we can. I know some of these are going to be harder for others, do what you can, if you can't- tell others- just be honest, but do not fall to doomerism. If you know prisoners (especially trans ones) try to send them what support you can. Organize with prisoner advocates that you know and get more information. At the very least, spread this information around, maybe call [Bureau of Prisons (202)307-3198], demand change, demand action. Change can not happen unless there is DISRUPTION. Article: https://www.opb.org/article/2025/02/22/bureau-of-prisons-to-move-trans-inmates-as-early-as-next-week/

Do Not Vote For Donald Trump
For those who do follow my posts (those rare few) and are planning on voting in the US I am going to make an ask- do not vote for Donald Trump. On Tumblr (especially in the spaces I tend to be within) I can't say I anticipate many who actually want to vote for Trump, but I already did this on Facebook, so here I am.
Donald Trump's primary claim is that is he has improved the US economy. This is, strictly, not true. According to the National Average Wage Index for 2016 was 48,642 and for 2020 it was 55,628, or a growth of 6,986 (1746.5 per year). In comparison, from 2021 to 2023 it grew from 60,575 to 66,621 or a growth of 6,046 over 3 years (Or 2015.3 per year). This means that, on average, a president who we're counting four years for, and who only had to deal with COVID for 1 year- has had less growth for the average national wage than a president whose had to deal with covid for multiple years- who is allegedly mentally declining due to age. (According to the National Average Wage Index)
What about the GPD? The average annual % change to US GPD from 2016 to 2020 was +1.42%, but from 2021 to 2023 it was +2.78%. The GPD growth in 2021 was +5.8% which is, again considering Covid, a historic recovery to the GPD after the first year it hit (during Trump's presidency) lowered the GPD to the negative growth margin. Even if you are less generous to Biden's term, his annual % growth was 2.08%- still better than Trump's. This is ANOTHER economic term in which Trump is inferior to Biden. To Biden- who had to deal with Covid longer, and more of the long term economic consequences of the lock down. Who has, allegedly, had a mental decline due to age. Yet his presidency has seemingly guided America on a better economic path than Trumps. (According to Macrotrends.net and Bea.gov)
I have seen others argue that Trump represents Christian values. I'm not so sure. For example, if you google "trump asked his favorite bible verse" you can see him claim that his favorite verse is "deeply personal." The reporter even tries to meet Trump at his level by asking him for his "most quoted verse" which he meets with the same response. Does this actually seem like a Christian president? Or does this seem like a man who wants to use religion as a tool to gain more support? Ask yourselves, does it seem like he earnestly represents even some general religious values or is his claiming that he does in order to court political favor?
For those who would support Donald Trump, I am not necessarily asking you to vote for Kamala- as a far-leftist I am not the biggest fan of Biden or her either- but I AM asking you to not vote for Donald Trump.

This is still important, donate if you can, reblog if you can't.
‼️Please don’t skip taking a look 🍉🇵🇸
I am Lina from Gaza, 25 years old. I have been married for 4 years. I have a son named Saif, who is 2 years old, and a daughter named Sidra, who was born in the October War, who is 3 months old. They were born by caesarean section. Help me and my children evacuate Gaza. I need your help to evacuate my family from Gaza. I hope you and your loved ones find you safe and sound. I am coming to you with a very urgent and time-sensitive appeal. We face a constant and imminent threat of death, injury and disease, even during the so-called “truce”. My home has been bombed and destroyed beyond repair. My family’s home. We have been under occupation all our lives, and none of us have experienced anything like what is happening now. There is now an opportunity to get the entire family out of Gaza to Egypt via the Rafah crossing. We do not know how long this opportunity will last, which makes it imperative that we raise the necessary funds as soon as possible. The longer it takes, the more vulnerable they will be. No one knows how long the bombing of Gaza will continue. It will continue, regardless of the cost in human lives. For my family’s future, your help is essential. I am deeply concerned about my children.
The money you contribute will: Cover the enormous costs of safe passage to Egypt. The vast majority of the money will be used for this purpose.
Provide temporary housing for the family in Egypt while the best way forward is determined for them.
Cover some of their initial living expenses while they are in Egypt. We hope to provide them with at least two months’ worth of money. They need time and space to breathe after being gassed during this genocide.
Once all of this is done, additional funds will be used to help me move past my current situation so that I can provide more support to my family. I have taken on the responsibility of caring for them during this critical and uncertain time and into the future.

Trapped Family in Gaza Appeals for Help to Survive
A Plea for Help from Gaza: A Family Seeking Safety
Hello, I am Mohammed Alanqer, married to Enas Majed, and we have four wonderful children.
Tumblr media
We live in the midst of the ongoing hellish war in Gaza, trapped between walls of fear and despair. I, Mohammed, am a father of four children and a husband to a woman who was two months pregnant when the war began.
We struggle daily to survive in an environment filled with threats and dangers.
Tumblr media
I lost our sole source of livelihood when my tech startup, which I built with dedication and hard work, was destroyed in the war. My children, Layan, Sarah, and Adam, have been deprived of education after their schools were destroyed, severely threatening their future. Amidst these harsh circumstances, my wife gave birth to our fourth child, Amir, in the midst of the war, adding to our state of despair and hopelessness.
Tumblr media
My wife, Enas, lives in constant anxiety due to the destruction of hospitals in our area. I have lost my job and source of income, leaving me unable to provide for my family's needs and safety. Our home was destroyed by the war, forcing us to flee repeatedly and rendering us homeless.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
We now face extreme difficulty in providing a safe place to live, clean clothes, and food for our children. Additionally, our children have contracted diseases like measles, and our son Adam has been diagnosed with viral hepatitis.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our only hope now is to escape this ongoing nightmare and find a safe haven for our family. However, this requires exorbitant financial costs; the coordination fees for crossing the borders amount to $5000 per adult and $2500 per child, a sum I cannot afford alone.
We urgently appeal for your moral and financial assistance to cover the necessary costs for escaping to a safe environment, where we can build a better future for our children and ensure our family's safety.
Tumblr media
We are in desperate need of your support. Any donation, no matter how small, can help save our lives. Thank you for your attention and support during these harsh times.

Hello, world
This is Hasan and Leena, a happily married couple from Gaza. I am a motion graphic designer, and my wife is a content creator. We lived joyfully and peacefully for barely 7 months until the war struck and forced us to endure the hardest days of our life. So far, we have been displaced nine times from one location to another. We've lost our jobs. Our lovely, worm home. Members of our family, in addition to the continual fear we suffer.
The most difficult decision for us was to leave our country, to leave Gaza, overcome the obstacles we faced and the losses we suffered, and begin a new life from scratch.
Help us start a new life, every donation will be a great initiative to start the life we lost

This is unjust. Even if Hamas was behind every single thing Israel claimed they were. Putting ANYONE in a concentration camp, much less civilians, is unjust.

The implication of course being that if you can do something "legally" its also "moral". Or at the very least, not something you need to worry about.
Someone should tell that guy about slavery, that was pretty legal too for a couple centuries.

Never forget that, ultimately, Capitalism is a system which cares about profit and nothing else. Whenever an "ethical" capitalists argues for good policies or has good takes, note their justification, it isn't consideration for other people. No. Its "this is more efficient anyways".
Capitalism is for profit. It does not care for human lives ultimately. This genocide is not some "bug", "glitch", or "error" on the part of capitalism. Its not "bad" capitalism. Its just capitalism, doing what its supposed to.

This stuff is important to remember. Do you feel gross reading it? Sick? Or does it barely phase you? Remember how that makes you feel, imagine how it felt to someone experiencing it.
If you wanna argue that it didn't happen I'd ask why. They are mentioning LAWS, documented history that you can be easily checked. Why are you trying to oppose such obviously true history?
Would it make you feel.... sick to your stomach if you accepted that women are treated worse? Would it make you feel like you had done harm? Good. You probably have. Wallowing in it won't fix anything though, be better.
In the 1960′s Legally a woman couldn’t
Open a bank account or get a credit card without signed permission from her father or hr husband.
Serve on a jury - because it might inconvenience the family not to have the woman at home being her husband’s helpmate.
Obtain any form of birth control without her husband’s permission. You had to be married, and your hub and had to agree to postpone having children.
Get an Ivy League education. Ivy League schools were men’s colleges ntil the 70′s and 80′s. When they opened their doors to women it was agree that women went there for their MRS. Degee.
Experience equality in the workplace: Kennedy’s Commission on the Status of Women produced a report in 1963 that revealed, among other things, that women earned 59 cents for every dollar that men earned and were kept out of the more lucrative professional positions.
Keep her job if she was pregnant.Until the Pregnancy Discrimination Act in 1978, women were regularly fired from their workplace for being pregnant.
Refuse to have sex with her husband. The mid 70s saw most states recognize marital rape and in 1993 it became criminalized in all 50 states. Nevertheless, marital rape is still often treated differently to other forms of rape in some states even today.
Get a divorce with some degree of ease. Before the No Fault Divorce law in 1969, spouses had to show the faults of the other party, such as adultery, and could easily be overturned by recrimination.
Have a legal abortion in most states. The Roe v. Wade case in 1973 protected a woman’s right to abortion until viability.
Take legal action against workplace sexual harassment. According to The Week, the first time a court recognized office sexual harassment as grounds for legal action was in 1977.
Play college sports Title IX of the  Education Amendments of protects people from discrimination  based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial  assistance It was nt until this statute that colleges had teams for women’s sports
Apply for men’s Jobs   The EEOC rules that sex-segregated help wanted ads in newspapers are illegal.  This ruling is upheld in 1973 by the Supreme Court, opening the way for women to apply for higher-paying jobs hitherto open only to men.
This is why we needed feminism - this is why we know that feminism works

i want everyone who has not once spoken up about the islamopbobia uprise since october and only ever spoke up about antisemitism or has not spoken about either, to actually shut the fuck up about the pro palestine university protests or if you speak of it, do not forget to mention the israeli "counter protests" as well, where groups of Zionists say the most horrific, islamophobic and racist slurs ever and nobody is saying anything. talk about that for once and acknowledge it (i know you only like to pick on muslims and palestinians tho) and if you dont do that, like i said, just shut the fuck up in general about the protests.

The police and the higher ups aren’t arresting protesters because they are afraid that their minds will be changed. They chose money over people and that’s set in stone. No, they are afraid that these protesters will change YOUR mind.

Those who protest against Israel's genocide are punished for antisemitism.
But for some strange reason, authorities have never cracked down on antisemitism any other time. Any other time, antisemitism is considered free speech.
It's almost as if they know damn well that protesting against Israel is not antisemitism.
