As a social animal, pretty much any interaction you have with anything more intelligent than a lizard is going to involve some level of manipulation. It's what we do. We as a species are min maxed to manipulate the world around us, both physically and socially. The key is learning the difference between malicious manipulation, and I like being happy so let's do something that makes us both happy manipulation.

Update: it's back, guess they just took it down for maintenance. I'm feeling spicy tonight, anyone got a suggestion for what to play after epitaph?

Shout out to touch tunes for letting me torment racist from the comfort of my own home. There's a number of maga bars around here. I mostly just play rock and country songs with messages that go against their hateful ideology (not that they're paying attention to the lyrics, but I find it entertaining). But there is one I used to really like back before it became a maga hideout. A pool hall that is open all night. So I set an alarm for 3 am every night to interrupt the music flow using touch tune's wonderful fast pass feature to play the entirety of King Crimsons, "Epitaph (including "March For No Reason")" all 8 and a half minutes of it. Anyway I noticed the jukebox has been taken off the map. I'm going to interpret this as they hated my music so much they decided no one gets to play music anymore (unless there's some toggle where only people at the bar can use it).
