MY FIRST BIND ❤️
Something a little different...
I dived into bookbinding recently, and I love it!!
This is my first proper bind, and I'm so proud and happy with the outcome.
It's Crimson Rivers by Zeppazariel on Ao3 ❤️
I needed to get creative with the cover design because I have no cricut machine or this fancy foil to make a real cover and back design....
Well, things got messy, and my room looked like 'the arena' for some days, but it was worth it!!
Let me know what you think 💌

I need to try this
The diagram for the classic Origami Goat, with a twist to make its horns curve ! It's from this video by by Origami Word, but it seems to be a pretty old/intemporal design that a lot of people have made. I could not find a diagram online so I made one.
(If you make her in yellow/orangy-yellow, then decorate her with red ribbons, you can make your own origami gävlebocken ! )

Typesetuary!
It's almost January! Which means I'm going to be doing my own personal typesetting challenge this month--a Typesetuary, if you will indulge me XD.
All finished typesets I make will be in my library for FREE.
What is a typeset? Well, in the fanbinding community, it's typically the digital version (pdf) of a book that can be imposed and printed out. It combines typography, book design, layout design, and a bunch of other fun stuff.
If anyone wants to play along, you're more than welcome to! (Please tag me if you do!) This is just something I'm doing for fun because 1) I like typesetting, and 2) I like arbitrary video game achievements. My goal:
Share as many completed typesets as I can, minimum of one every other day (total of at least 15)
My rules:
Must be a complete, ready to impose and print typeset.
Cannot be for a book I've already done.
WIPs finished for this event are fine (and I'm giving myself a bonus head start/early time frame that began today to work on typesets 'cause I work all through the holidays irl--hey, being rulesmaster supreme for my arbitrary made up personal event has to have some benefits lol)
Quantity is where I'm leaning with this event. Not necessarily sacrificing quality, but rather focusing on the basics. I sometimes feel like I get too unnecessarily frustrated or hung up on the decorations and designs and little details, when what I've got already is usually perfectly fine as it is, and works as complete by itself. Thus, this is a way for me to let myself make a lot of readable/useable typesets that people might find helpful as they are, and I can eventually come back to add to them when I do find inspiration. I figure some folks might prefer books that are more clean and simple anyway (hey, I like vanilla ice cream too!).
Any suggestions for books, let me know! I can't guarantee I'll do them, but I'll try my best! Happy typesetting, reading, binding, and however you celebrate literature to you all!
(Also, I almost made the goal 14 instead, just so I could end on 69 XD. Almost.)

50 Free Typesets
New achievement unlocked! I now have 50 public domain books/typesets available for FREE in my library! 🥳 Above is a collage of all 50 title pages.
What does this mean? It means that these classic books have been typeset (typographic, book design, layout work done), and are ready as pdfs that can be used to read, print out, book bind, or burn at your pleasure! (Just keep it to personal use only!)
The full list (with page sizes now noted) of all 50 books available can be found here on my tumblrary directory/masterlist (which will update as I add more), and below the break of this post!
Please please feel free to request access to my library (aka, yee good ol' googly drive). I usually respond within 24 hours, and they are indeed free! Just leave credit if you use, and consider liking/reblogging!
Also, if you find any errors in the files, let me know! I made these in Affinity, not with an AI program, and typos are natural spawns XD
From Frankenstein to Pride and Prejudice, to Sherlock Holmes to a dude that wakes up as a bug, I've been honored to be able to typeset these books and share them with all of you.
A part of me wants to ramble on about the behind the scenes and my continuing personal journey of amateur typesetting...but I think the most important thing I can say is simply thank you! to everyone that's stopped by! So thank you all! (And should I try for 100? 🤔 Hmmm...)

Came across a immature Raven hanging out with some Crows. In this area I've only ever seen Crows chasing after Ravens so I find this quite interesting that they were hanging out with each other. The Raven flew away soon after this picture was taken and the Crows stayed. It could be that they don't see this young Raven as a threat since it's so young.

Among the flock, a single raven stood out; blue-eyed, still and ever displeased.
