Lord Lucifer
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Light Bearer, Prince of Pride
Introduction:
Lucifer, said to be the most beautiful angel God has ever created was the first to rebel against his “creator” and banished from the heavenly order. He stood for equality, fairness, rights for us humans, yet God did not approve so hence his banishment. Lucifer is a God, an emperor of the infernal. His name originated from the Roman folklore used to represent Venus, and he is said to be Prometheus to the Greeks, Enki to the Sumerians etc who brought knowledge to humans despite the orders of the demiurge who said not to. He opened our eyes, gave us knowledge to see and know, to differentiate good and bad, to evolve. He represents duality, the bringer of light and also the prince of darkness. He understands the outcasted, he understands how it feels like to be vilified despite standing up for what’s right. He understands the pain one goes through when fell to the deepest pit of despair, and he cares for those who aren’t accepted. Lord Lucifer rules over justice, equality, fairness, revolution, enlightenment, rebellion, light, darkness, healing from trauma, pain etc.

Hello. This is not something I would do unless I really needed help. I started a GoFundMe; I suffer from schizoaffective disorder and its absolutely crippling. I'm applying for disability but that takes a long time and especially at my age its going to be an even longer process.
I cannot afford therapy, and I'm about to lose my insurance so I won't be able to afford my medications and I NEED my meds. I can't hold a job because my hallucinations are severe, and I'm in psychosis almost every day. I barely have money for food or basic necessities anymore.
Please, if you can afford to donate a few dollars anything is greatly appreciated. If you cant donate, please share this post and my link so I can get the help I need. Thank you so much for your time.

Where do magic correspondences come from?
This was an interesting topic that somebody asked me about before. I'm happy the person asked because I feel like people don't ask questions like this enough. Many beginners make that mistake often. When you are beginning your craft or in the early stages of researching for your craft, always ask questions.
Anybody who has been on my profile for a longer period of time knows I am not a believer in the whole "rosemary can replace any herb" thing or the "white can replace any color" thing. It sounds very misleading to me, but that's just my take on the topic. There are many variables that go into correspondences of different things, but these will be some of the things I try to look to when determining correspondences. I hope the following helps you understand this better.
Psychology: I typically look to psychology for things like color correspondences. While we will all individually have our own personal opinions on things based on our own experiences, it is proven that colors tend to have a similar effect on most people. If you'd like to take a look at my post on color correspondences, here is a link.
Medicinal Uses: This one is usually more for things such as plant correspondences. You can see why certain plants are associated with certain things based on their medicinal uses. Rosemary, for example, is associated with memory and dreams in magic. For medicinal uses, rosemary can have positive effects on one's memory and neurological functions.
Folklore: Folklore tends to be region specific. You can live in the same country as another person, but if you live in completely different areas of that country the folklore for your regions may be a little different. Folklore can tell us of many superstitions that let us know what something means. Try reading up on the folklore for the region you're from. You may be surprised by some of the tales you find.
Culture: I'm separating folklore and culture because while folklore can be tied into the culture of a place, folklore tends to be more specific to specific locations. Different countries will have different cultures, which means they will have different perspectives than what you may have. If you do research on the culture of a country different from yours, you may find that the people of that country have different traditions.
Religion: Religion can be tied into culture, too, if the area is overall dominated by one religion. Religious texts and stories can often be found talking about using various things for specific uses (such as magic and honoring deities). Because of this, a person might have a specific association with something because of their religion.
These are just the five things I consider when determining correspondences of things. There are a few things that I have personal association with, though, so I'm not saying you should be limited by these five things. I do think that taking them into consideration is important though.

Hekate Master Post
So my lovely friend, is being contacted by Hekate so I've decided to make a huge master post for it! So this is for you Nixx <2
Hekate is the Queen of the night, Goddess of Witchcraft, and Queen of the Crossroads. Hekate patrols the frontier between life and death, she is the intermediary between spirits and humans.
Hekate owns the ultimate skeleton key; the key that unlocks the gates to ALL realms.
Although known from the Greek Pantheon, her name means "influence from afar" acknowledging Hekate's foreign origins. It is believed Hekate originated from what is now Georgia on the Black Sea, home of Medea, her most famous devotee and priestess.
The Greek's know her as Persephone's confidante and handmaiden.
Hekate rules wisdom, choices, expiation, victory, vengeance, and travel. She is witness to EVERY crime.
Hekate is invoked for justice, especially for sexual crimes against women and young girls.
She is invoked when justice is not forth coming from other channels.
She has the power to grant or deny any mortal's wish.
She may be invoked for protection of dogs and from dogs.
She brings victory in battle.
Hekate may be invoked for healing, especially if medication/medical help has failed.
She may be petitioned for swift and painless death.
She can banish ghost, as well as produce a ghost 'infestation'.
Favored People- Midwives, witches, healers, herbalists, dog lovers and rescuers, women.
Sacred Animals- Snakes, toads, dragons, cats, dogs, storks.
Offerings- Eggs, garlic, honey, croissants, crescent shaped pastries, candles, incense, images of dogs, taking care of dogs.

Hekate
So let's start with things that arnt true about Hekate.
Hekate is not the triple moon goddess that is a wiccan concept that is not true.
Hekate is not the moon goddess, that is Selene. Selene is the goddess of the moon.
Hekate will not get angry if you are devoted to other gods/goddesses. This is a myth that is spread for many gods and goddesses, it's not true.
Hekate along with other gods/goddesses will not be angered from a little mistake. This is not saying that she will not push you in a direction through life changes.
Hekate is not just the goddess of witchcraft and magic. This is one I've seen alot actually and it's a very modern day way she is seen, and her other things are just casted aside.
Hekate is not evil.
You have to worship her at a crossroads you can worship her anywhere else, this is something I was told and heard when I first started to research about hekate.
Hekate will only except certain offering and will reject other. This is very wide spread about all the hellinistic gods/goddesses. The gods will except most things as offerings there are specific offerings that are most suited to them but most offering will work. It's the act of devotion that they want not the material things you give them if anything just pray to them.
These are just some misconceptions about Hekate. There are misconceptions about every god in the hellenistic pantheon and you will just need to find out which are not true.
Now let's go to some things that are true about Hekate.
Hekate is the goddess of crossroads, witchcraft and magic, dark moon, the lunar calendar (she is very associated with the moon but she is not the goddess of it like I stated before)
Hekate did assist the search for Persephone, and did witness the capture.
Hekate stood at the crossroads, this could be seen as to assist the spirits to the underworld or to keep evil spirits away.
You can make an altar/shrine to hekate and worship her there
You can pray to Hekate as an offering and just out of devotion you do not have to find extravagant things that are not easily available to you as an offering.
Some things you can use as an offering for Hekate. (These are just some examples there are many other things you can use.)
These are thing that I have used in my practice and are from my own experience. You may find others that you can use more and are better suited for your relationship with Hekate.
Dog imagery, black dogs are the best. You can draw one or even get a little dog statue.
Bones
Dandelions
Prayers
Doing acts of kindness for others, including animals
Give candles (black ones preferably)
Candies ( I've given chocolate as an offering before)
Blackberries
Blood ( this is a offering that is very demonized in the pagan community, but it is an offering you can use.)
Meat is a very traditional offering the not as good parts of the meat would be given to the gods and goddesses, as an offering and the better parts would be kept for you.
You can share parts of your dinner with them
Tea ( I usually use tea that corresponds to them)
Pastries
A feast was traditionally done under the dark moon
Lavender
Spells can be done along side her.
I've done spells for good things like happiness of others in her name.
Milk ( I know this one is a little wierd but you can use milk as a good offering for alot of gods/goddesses
Donate to charity in the name of Hekate
These are just some examples. These examples are just to give you an idea of offering for Hekate.
This is just a post for if you are interested in Hekate it is just a small post to kinda introduce her to you. If you are wanting to worship her please use more resources than this one.

An Introduction to Hekate
Hekate, Goddess of Magic, Witchcraft, the Moon, Necromancy, is believed to be not just a Goddess of the Underworld, but the living world as well. She also has dominion over crossroads, hidden knowledge, home protection, herbs, plant medicine and flowers. According to the Ancient Greek text by Hesiod, Theogony “Hecate, whom Zeus, Cronus’ son, honored above all others: he gave her splendid gifts - to have a share of the Earth and the barren sea, and from the starry sky as well she has a share in honor, and is honored most of all by the immortal gods.”
From what we can see historically, Hekate was a Goddess that was highly revered and given reign over three realms by the God of Gods. Hekate is well known to be as the triple goddess due to her association with the waxing, full and waning moon, but also some equate Hekate to the Mother, Maiden and Crone figure. She is a powerful Goddess, yet she also is a kind Goddess that will aid you in your path that you have chosen as a witch. Some of the main things you can focus on when working with Hekate when just starting off is
Finding your path
Protection of your home & loved ones
Communion with the dead
Spirit work
Shadow work
Associations with Hekate you may find when calling on her when beginning to build a relationship with her are items such as,
Keys
Torches
Lanterns
Black dogs
Crossroads
The Moon
The Crone
Snakes
The colors black & purple
The #3
The tarot card “The Moon”
Strophalos Wheel
There are superstitions that when Hekate is near dogs will begin to bark for what seems to be no reason.
Once you begin to see signs that Hekate is responding to you and is willing to engage, a great thing to do would be to leave an offering at a crossroads during the New Moon. Rituals, offerings and spellwork during the New Moon is the perfect time to connect with Hekate since that is the phase of the moon associated with her. Some examples of offerings you can leave at the crossroads are,
Mead
Wine
Cakes
Mediterranean fruits
Locally sourced fruits
Keys
Bones
Plants, such as Mugwort
Blood
You can also honor Hekate on the last day of the month or on the Night of Hekate, which is November 16th every year.
Lastly, an important step to making that initial connection with Hekate is creating an altar dedicated to her. On your altar you can have a statue of her or something that symbolizes her, plants associated with her and even  images of animals associated with her. Some colors you can use to decorate your altar are,
Purple
Black
Orange
Yellow-Orange
Red-Orange
Use these scents of incense at your altar such as,
Cinnamon
Honey
Myrrh
Mugwort
Lime
Lemon Verbena
Queen of the Night
Finally, some great crystals and gems that Hekate would love to have at her altar include,
Sapphire
Silver/Gold
Moonstone
Black Tourmaline
Black Onyx
Hematite
Smoky Quartz
Hopefully  this introduction helps give you an idea of who Hekate is and how to begin following her. Thanks for reading!

Spiritual Protection Types, and Why We Need It So Much
Unless you are new, you have probably endured many witches and practitioners emphasize the importance of mastering protection. It is a lot like carrying a self-defense tool, you are preventing something from happening before it happens to you in your most vulnerable state.
DISCLAIMER: This is based mostly on my personal experiences and own research as a practicing witch. Everyone has their own methods, you do not need to agree with me.
If you would like to support my endeavors, check out my profile! I had to retype this 3 times because I didn't save and would appreciate support
Tumblr media
What is Spiritual Protection?
Spiritual protection takes several forms. It can be a crystal in your pocket, a jar, a sigil, a sign from a tarot card, a talisman, a ward, a bind, etc.
Basically, spiritual protection is ANYTHING meant to protect you, your loved ones, your sacred spaces, or living spaces.
First and foremost, we must discuss different categories of protection.
Prevention
Not giving room for the energy to enter to begin with. Some of us know the shock of interacting with a negative energy all too well, and in my experience, any negative energy makes it stronger. This makes an influx of positive energy so much more important and valuable
I see us and spaces all as having a limited capacity for energy, just like we have a limited capacity for anything. If there is too much positive energy, there will be no room for the negative energy to enter, let alone negative energy for them to fuel themselves.
Tumblr media
Purification
Getting rid of the bad/boring/used energy that no longer serves us is purification. Some of us will practice purification by smoke cleansing, which is my personal favorite. Others will use baths, or protective oils to purify their energy. Energy that has stuck around too long feels like monotony to me, and when I feel monotony, I always cleanse.
Tumblr media
Defense
There are a couple of different ways you are able to defensively protect yourself from negative energy. Warding is my preferred method, so we will discuss that first.
A ward can be a metaphorical wall, or an energy sponge, regardless of how you use it, it keeps everything you don't want out. Wards have to be scripted or programmed beforehand, in my experience. The more detail/work you put into them, the stronger they get. You can make them like Jell-O, or like concrete. They can allow any energy, no energy, or only certain energies to enter. The bounds to wards are endless, the only downside is trying to figure out when to charge them. (I recommend using the sun or moon to charge them, using yourself later on, charging them once a week). A more in depth post on wards is coming later.
Setting boundaries is another way to defend yourself, they allow us control in our relationships and interactions. They are exactly the type of boundaries you are thinking of, physical and mental (or psychic) boundaries. Developing strong boundaries is crucial to most relationships, not allowing toxicity to interfere with the beautiful relationship you have. Physical boundaries may be a salt line or circle, while mental may be shielding or cleansing.
Tumblr media
Offense
I don't recommend beginners to start by working with offensive protection, unless absolutely necessary. I do not use offensive protection unless I genuinely feel that I am in harm's way.
This is a type of protection that will hunt the perpetrator down, regardless of whether or not it is a known energy or being. Sometimes simply casting chaos into the world is enough for the energy to leave you alone for a while, but other times, it is to keep the energy at bay. Hexes are considered offensive protection by some (me included).
Tumblr media
Deflection
This is simply reflecting the energy sent onto you back onto the source, the most simple "no you don't" in witch history. Most commonly, deflection is done through Return To Sender workings, and when the energy or being is returned it is stuck to them.
Some witches can sense when negative energy is on their way to them, others find out through readings. Mirror Boxes are great for deflecting, along with sigils or witch balls.
Tumblr media
Divine or Spiritual Protection
Calling upon protective deities, guardians, familiars, etc. to protect a person or space can be done through regular offerings to them. The offerings signify you still need their assistance, but this can very from being to being. All different beings can be pinned against each other in the name of protection, just ensure that they are stronger than whatever energy is trying to harm you. Many will set up altars or spirit houses as a way to visualize the agreement to work with the beings, making it special to the energy.
Tumblr media
Thank you for reading my post until the end, and I hope it helps someone who needs it.
I used my own experiences and this link to learn about all of the different types.

Witch Master-Post
Please take everything I say at face value, do your own research on the topics I’ve presented. What works for me may not work for you. You can substitute or subtract pretty much anything as long as it’s not a major component in a spell. Make sure you are prepared fully before doing some of the ones I’ve listed and educate yourself on the ways backfiring presents itself. If you try any of these lmk I’d love to hear it!

Baneful magic ingredients and their correspondences
I got a LOT of these from @afledglings-guideto-witchcraft when they answered an ask I sent in, that blog is a fantastic place for information whether you've been practicing a few days or a few years imo.
I've been posting a lot about trying to find information on this subject and now I've gotten a good list compiled in a google doc and figured I'd share it with y'all, feel free to add on your own notes or just any commentary you have or experiences you've had using certain ingredients. I'm using some of these to make a hex jar to try and help a friend out with a shitty abusive household, which I might post more about if y'all would be interested in it, or if I just feel up to it.
Black pepper: bad luck, punishing negative energies
Pickle juice: to bring sourness
Broken glass: cutting ties, warding off negative energies, pain
Black salt: banishment
Thumb tacks: pain and suffering
Rotten tea/anything moldy: for detriment on their life
Hot peppers: pain, irritation, burning, anger
Garlic: disgust and repulsion
Dead matches: to drain energy
Salt: to intensify wounds, to sting, to keep someone away
Mustard seed: strife and discord
Onion: breaking relationships/habits/etc, strife
Lemons: causing pain (think lemon juice on a cut), souring a relationship, or any good luck the target has been receiving lately.
Rusty Nails: can be stabbed into lemons, or added to sour jars/hex jars. Pins the hex/curse to the target.
Vinegar: souring, dissolves relationships
Poppyseed: intoxication and confusion
Alum: stops communication/speech.
Small pickles: male impotency
Beet pickles: female hormonal problems
Thick mud: darkness, suffocation, feeling trapped
Feces/urine: to make their life nasty
Black candle wax or strings: binds the curse to the target
Coffee: insomnia
Tea: lethargy/oversleeping
Gravel: Being crushed and stepped on by life and the people around you
Don't ever let anyone tell you you are a bad person or you're going to get hurt if you practice baneful magic at all no matter what. The threefold law is a rule that Wiccans follow, no one else is obligated to believe in it, I respect people who believe in it and they should respect people who don't. Always make sure to judge a situation very carefully and use this magic appropriately.
And, very very important, research on how to protect yourself from a spell backfiring (because you can get hurt), make sure that your intention is very focused on your specific target(s), and, if you're doing something similar to what I'm doing, do something (protection jars, spells, etc) to protect other people around this person or people from the effects of the jinx, hex, or curse. Oh and if you're casting a spell on someone else who practices witchcraft, make sure you know the signs if they deflect the spell back onto you and try and do what you can to prevent that from happening.

i don’t like posting long posts like this but i don’t think i’m the only one who needs to hear this. normalize needing breaks from your craft/spiritual practice. needing time where you’re not doing spells every week and you’re not able to do a lot of work or daily devotional stuff to deities. i love my craft and every aspect of it, but the fact is ive beensick a lot, especially in this last year. some days just regular fatigue and brain fog can make me unable to do pretty much anything about my craft. i’ve been really sick these past few weeks, and i needed some time. i still did small things to keep connected, like meditating when i could, carrying crystals with me, drinking tea with corresponding herbs, and leaving offerings or dedicating small acts to my deities as much as i could. but that’s about it. a big part of my craft is taking care of myself/my needs first, and i’m proud of myself for doing that. it’s okay if you’re sick and need a break. if you’re tired from a really hard day and can’t do anything. if you’re in a flare and need to focus on resting and not doing a huge ritual. or maybe you just need a little break from everything because you’ve been pushing yourself too hard. its okay.
