I may be wildly jumping to conclusions (but also don't think I am) but Gabriel's view on Adrien is going to be apathetic and dare I say completely loveless.

So, so far we know that Gabriel is not a good father and has been abusive and neglectful towards Adrien while also maintaining that he loves Adrien and wants to protect him. We know Gabriel is a sad excuse of a parent, but in the show many characters including Adrien believe that Gabriel is a complex man who does love Adrien.

While the fact of the matter is Gabriel has absolutely gone off the deep end after becoming Monarch. Having that false hope in Evolution that he could save Emilie by using the bunny miraculous just further his descent into madness. From that moment I believe we saw two things that became true:

That Gabriel is very willing to risk somebody dying so Emilie can return and (this is what I believe) that deep down Gabriel knows it will probably be Adrien and he doesn't care.

That Gabriel was going to go and prevent past Emilie from using the miraculous to bring Adrien to existence which I believe is what we were seeing played out.

He failed. He lost the opportunity to reverse everything and he knows all that remain is the truth of what he was willing to do for Emilie. Now without Emilie here, Adrien is growing more and more into his own person. He has wants, wishes, desires that Gabriel can no longer repress as easily. Adrien has now also showed his defiance in doing what his father wants him to do by switching places with Felix to stay home. Adrien is his own person and that makes him a nuisance.

And to top it all off Gabriel lost Nathalie who has been Adrien's primary caretaker and Gabriel's trustee to the secret of Adrien's sentimonster nature. Gabriel is done. Gabriel is done with Adrien he is too much for him, Adrien is uncontrollable and a constant reminder that Emilie is gone.

So when Adrien says he wants to quit modeling? Sure, that's okay because he can make his son do anything, say anything, and be anything if he becomes less sentient. Perhaps using Adrien's likeness to become an object, to literally exist in a ring now. Because the Adrien who lives outside the ring is not longer working for him and will no longer be the one he cares for. So if his plans actually works if he takes the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, well he will be okay with having Adrien as the trade off.

KNOWS the identities of every miraculous holder except Chat Noir (and maybe King Monkey?? did she ever find that out???)

KNOWS that Alya knows her secret identity

KNOWS that Alya is permanently keeping the fox miraculous

KNOWS that Rena Rouge is still active as Rena Furtive

KNOWS that Chat Noir likes her

DOES NOT KNOW that Alya told Nino she was still Rena Rouge

DOES NOT KNOW that Nino told Adrien that he and Alya were Rena Rogue and Carapace and that they know each others identities
