i’ve just set a new tua server up on discord and i just thought i’d post about it on here if anyone’s interested!

it’s an advanced literate, 15+ roleplay server w/ a canon divergent plot! instead of going to the 60’s, the hargreeves accidentally end up in 1890’s america — a lot of this takes heavy inspiration from the red dead redemption series, n cld technically be considered a crossover (but you don’t need to be familiar w/ the games to join!)

we’re incredibly new, so there’s plenty of hargreeves siblings open as of now! we also accept ocs if that’s also your thing <3

another sad thing about aang not being a fan favorite (clownery!!!) is that there’s so few fanfics ive encountered that care to develop and theorize the air nomads. so much fan effort is poured into worldbuilding the fire nation and detailing their rituals and culture, less effort than deserved but a small amount is spent on developing the water tribes, and the earth kingdom is so developed in the show it’s easy to extrapolate from there, but so many fanfics either ignore the air nomads, or worse characterize them as too weak and childish to exist in the avatar universe (sometimes this is overt, sometimes it’s little throwaway comments that minimize aang’s spiritual beliefs or air nomad philosophy) and it’s just...so sad and frustrating. like people watched a whole show about fighting imperialism and not only came away with a massive boner for the imperialist nation, but disinterest and outright contempt for that imperial power’s first victims - the air nomads

Welcome to Grimeridge; A town where everything out of the ordinary seems sane and the mysteries never come to an end.

What seems like a cute quaint town on the east coast, Grimeridge serves as a nexus for paranormal, supernatural and metaphysical events all to which everybody seems to ignore or are too dull witted to realize just how dark the town feels. With constant disappearances of people from all ages to the underground witch coven and gangs that run rampant, Grimeridge is definitely a town where the sun never seems to shine and the nights feel longer than the days.

In this roleplay server, it is horror based and any character from any subculture is allowed! With characters from Stranger Things to The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina all the way to classics like Dracula and Frankenstein, we accept most if not all characters and encourage a mix of writing from all! We're bringing them all together in this AU where they all live in conjunction and fight their battles together.
